  1. It's only a good idea if you like getting spanked on your opening. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  2. I think Rachel, Ed, and a lot of the other Fox people, can all be lumped into one giant category for how ridiculously biased they all are. I can't stand watching any of them, actually. For the networks....The only one that pisses me off less than most of them, at least at the moment, is CNN-- which doesn't mean it is without it's moments, but like I said, pisses me off the least and doesn't make me want to turn it off after two minutes. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  3. Yea, I wasn't sure how long they are doing it for, but if you can buy a bunch up to use in the future, then you're good to go! And I happened to bring up Davis because the OP and some replies sounded like they were justifying a dropzone choice because of the price, or wanted to choose one dropzone over the other because of price. I like Davis, but if price it not your top reason for dz choice, then there are more awesome places in the area like Byron
  4. Keep in mind, one of the main characteristics of a liberal is the refusal to accept personal responsibility when cornered. That is when discussion, dialogue yes, even argument starts going in all sorts of directions. "When you become mature enough to accept what liberalism is the rest is easy." ~Rush Limbaugh Kinda like when you don't admit that something is true (since it's against your agenda) and you will continue to believe it, even if the unbiased numbers and facts put you in a corner and prove you wrong. Weird...... definitely sounds like an issue that just impacts liberals. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  5. Davis has tickets for $18 right now. The extra 3 bucks is more than worth it for peace of mind. Just sayin. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  6. hahahaha.... wow, I just spit my tea out of my nose. Search.....search is your friend. Google even works well for this one! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  7. I know Davis was doing $18 jumps for the past 3 or 4 weeks. Not sure if they are running the special still though. Anybody know? Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  8. Skydance and Byron get my love in NorCal!! Haven't been to SoCal yet, but Chicks Rock is just around the corner!!!
  9. Illustrated fact: In the last 50 years, Democrats are consistently betterless awful at managing the federal budget and the economy. Illustrated fact: In the last 100 years, Presidents with a business background have ranged between pretty bad and the absolute worst at their jobs, and the last three were especially bad at economic issues. Illustrated fact: US alternative energy production is demonstrably greater now that it was previously, in both private investment and energy output. Your response: "Screw you and your facts, they mean nothing! What about our FEELINGS?! " Rest assured, if emotions and feelings end up winning this election, it'll be a landslide for Obama over that out-of-touch, uninspiring, dull stick-in-the mud the Republicans are offering up. Blues, Dave And BOOM goes the dynamite! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  10. Most churches have an anti-gay bias as in they are against gay marriage, ect. I am OK with that. That is much different than a group who's actions are considered hurtful enough to be labeled a hate group. If this church was that far deep into it, like they held camps where they prayed or beat the gay out of kids, or lobbied to have gays called perverted pedophile or criminal, then again, I would have a problem with it. I am going to assume his church group was as benign as most church groups are and definitely do not go to the extent like AFTA, Exodus group, FRC, etc. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... 11. Small turn-out?? Are you freakin kidding? I went by CfA while running some errands this evening and the parking lot was overflowing into Starbucks and McD's. The drive thru had at least a dozen cars in line. People were standing around the parking lot socializing. I was thinking about stopping and picking up something to go for dinner but didn't want to sit in line. They set records at nearly every store Small turn out Interesting that up until a few months ago, Obama had the exact same view on gay marriage that Dan Cathy has. It wasn't a problem during the last election and hasn't been a problem up until now. I wonder why the lefties weren't screaming that Obama hated gays during the last election? (as if I didn't know ) Because for most people who are upset with this whole thing, they are not upset with a view on support for traditional marriage. What they are upset about is the millions donated to groups that aren't just anti-gay marriage groups, but they are considered anti-gay anything groups-- and in some states are even listed as hate groups. When Obama starts donating millions to groups like that, THEN I will have a problem with him also! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  12. 15 minutes? You haven't even really begun yet! Cut yourself a break. The tunnel is very humbling and usually doesn't come in 15 minutes to people. It takes many hours and lots of $$$$ to get through the progression. It's a commitment, and it's frustrating, but very rewarding when you finally nail something you've been working on for what felt like forever! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  13. Yea, after hearing all of this with groupon taking down the comment feature and everything-- essentially declaring that they know something is shady and monitor/restrict any comments that alert people to a shady deal, then I am pretty much done with them after this. Makes me pretty pissed. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  14. Z-Hizzle!!!!! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  15. I don't know if it was living social or groupon that let you have a discussion about deals, but I don't see anywhere on that groupon you can have a discussion and alert people of the outright dumbfekery going on within this deal. Sad. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  16. http://www.groupon.com/deals/sportations-modesto Isn't that the address for Lodi? Funny...... I thought tandems were already 99 bucks there and sportations wants to sell it for $139? Am I missing something? Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  17. I have this crazy idea that people should be allowed to run their businesses as they see fit as long as it is legal. DZOs don't owe you ANYTHING. They take on a shit ton of risk, to provide us a playground. Exactly what he said..... end of story! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  18. ..... but aren't the gay couple the customers? Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  19. I've seen people with thousands of skydives come out of the tunnel very sore and humbled. Don't worry about it-- just keep chuggin!
  20. There is a difference between unconventional or 'not by the book,' and flat out illegal by breaking FAR's and stuff. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  21. I know we have gone down the "cocky TI" road, but a lot of similar behavior of people pushing out unwilling students at other places comes from the DZO not wanting to do two passes because it costs money and puts hours on the plane. Not condoning this guys behavior by any means. Yep I had a bad experience one time at this particular dz where I saw traffic passing underneath us, I signaled and pointed it out to everybody behind me, and what did I get? Everybody yelling at me to go. That was probably my last jump at this place if I remember correctly. And it's not just Lodi.... other places pull the same crap and it's one of my pet peeves, especially since I work in air traffic control. I know how busy the skies are in Nor Cal. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  22. Wow.... so if it was my schools belief that we shouldn't play any baseball teams that had a minority on it, then we would have character? wwwwwwooooooowwwwww...... really, wow is all I can say to that. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  23. tired cliche of gays=girls. cowardice is taking a forfeit rather than losing to a girl. Oh here we go Just funny really The real cowardice would be succumbing to those like you who would use political correctness to shut up the other side or try and embarrass them to doing you and yours would have them do (IE: playing the game against the own standards) Glad they ignored you cause they have more character than anyone who would try and change them with this PC bs Care to go another round? Since when was playing a sport against a girl (very non contact at that) an issue with standards? You make it sounds like they were forced to steal something, rob somebody, etc, etc. Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  24. I'm the same way.... actually, I'm still the same way a few hundred jumps later. I'm kind of new to the DZ's in my area over the past year or two, but honestly I'm the same no matter where I am-- I don't really go out of my way to invite my way on to other peoples jumps, even ones I know I can hold my own on. A lot of people say grow a pair and just go ask, but for me I don't like to invite myself to anything or impose on people, so it would make sense for me that this carries over to my skydiving as well. I'll admit I do get a little bummed sometimes when I see everybody in their groups jumping, but I remind myself that I don't go out of my way to ask to join, so I better suck it up and get my ass on the plane for a solo. To each their own, I guess! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
  25. I think you, and most people, have an uninformed notion of the "distinct lines" between male and female. Look up androgen insensitivity syndrome, and Klinefelter's syndrome, for a start. Anyway, I think your argument is silly, but it does highlight an interesting correlation: the same people who are so opposed to equal rights for gays and lesbians also tend to want to limit the roles women can play in society too. Don Just a fucked up arrogant post Fucked up in what way? Arrogant in what way? I'm not responsible for the fact that there are genotypes other than XX or XY. Neither an I responsible for the fact that certain mutations ensure you will turn out a phenotypic female, whatever your chromosomes say. Pretending that nature is simple when it really isn't doesn't actually make you smarter, Marc. Are you aware that there is no definition of "male" and "female" in US law? It seems odd that you can restrict marriage to an arrangement between a man and a woman, without having some precise legal definition of what constitutes a man or a woman. Don And boom goes the dynamite! Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
