I wasn't / haven't been challenging anyone; I consider that a personal attack and I ask that you please refrain from that type of commentary. Struck a nerve, did I? My apologies if you read something into that comment. 'Shell

Canadian's don't sue. We challenge people to a game of shinny instead. 'Shell

Well, you just reposted the reason's behind YOUR posts questioning and challenging the moderators about threads that ended up in the recycle bin . And those threads questioning it also ended up in the recycle bin. Looks like you're using this thread to do it again. Just my take on it. 'Shell

A lot of these "questions" are from people who intentionally started a thread that they knew was going to get deleted, just so they could start a thread to ask why their post was deleted (as if they didn't know) and continue to whine about the moderators. Seems like childishness to me. Perhaps this thread is an exception, as it seemed to be an honest question, but most of the "why was my post deleted"-type threads just seem to be trying to challenge the moderators. At least that's how it looks from my perspective. **clap** My advice ... quit while you're ahead. Or at least even.

On the flip side of that you could say: "The mere fact that there are continued threads about "why my post was deleted" or "please explain" indicate that a degree of childishness is occurring." Challenging moderators, whining, name calling, etc. are indicators of childishness. Questions, more likely, indicate a moderation issue (heavy handedness, conflicting policies, bias, elitism, etc.) Great challenge. 'Shell

Fix this please. I tried. Got a binary file to download. I gave up. Try again. Just post the URL. No markup around it. Someone will fix it then. 'Shell

Keep the mantra going; you (the "site" as you) have clearly convinced yourself and many of the community members that the laws (such as they are) don't apply to you. Someday someone will call the site on the customer/business relationship and no amount of your mantra repeating will influence the courts, lawyers, and judges who will adjudicate that future dispute. From a purely sense of community standpoint; you (again the site as you) would be better off to realize that the value of this (or any community site) is the community itself. In other words, from a business and economic standpoint -- this is a damn democracy. From the RULES clicky that you find at the top of pretty much every page: "You agree that this is private property and you are our guest, and that Dropzone.com reserves the right to delete any message. Membership on Dropzone.com is a privilege, not a right. We may at any time revise these rules and policies without notice. Please check back regularly. Continued use of Dropzone.com after a change has been made is your acceptance of the change. " Kind of like those signs you see in a lot of businesses that state "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone". 'Shell

Freudian slip?? No, I meant this. Well aren't you a crafty one! 'Shell

Damn. That No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service sign at the front of the forums is REALLY gonna piss some people off. 'Shell

Report back your findings. We'll wait. She's going to the Women's forum, huh? Nope.

WOW! Is one of the benefits of premier membership unlimited bitching?! Cool! We do have a special forum for our problems. But I've never tried unlimited bitching in there. BRB. Report back your findings. We'll wait. 'Shell

Call Stinky at the LP Lounge and ask him what he used on the bar top.

There have been SO many threads started recently about what people are allowed and not allowed to post I'm sure the Mods are getting tired of having to: 1. recycle them 2. respond to them 3. defend themselves Read Skybytch's reply above as well as quade's. Their replies will tell you everything you need to know. And how to conduct yourself. If in doubt, there's a nice little sticky up here from HH that tells you the same, a perhaps a bit more. This is a site to post what you want, but there are boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. And they're laid out in the FAQ's and in recent stickie's and announcements. And thanks for worrying about my sig line. I was asked to change it once (NOT by a mod). And I did. So far so good with this one. But if they ask me to change it, I will. It's their "home", not mine. If they want me to take my shoes off, I will. I'm just visiting.
