Guys/Gals I need your opinion. I've been doing tunnel time to hold back the itch to do AFF because its cold and snowy where I live. Well this weeks weather has been so nice in the state that I'm working (Delaware) that myself and a guy that works with me decided to do a Tandem jump today. Bad Idea!! You know when your hungry and you only eat like 3 potato chips, and all that does is make you more hungry and wanting more? Yeah thats what it feels like know. Long story short my question is so you think it better I wait and do AFF at the DZ which I will probably be jumping the most at or would it be alright to do it at Skydive Orange in Orange VA when Im in Richmond for work starting this january? I'll be there for the better part of 2 to 3 months which should be plenty of time to get an A license weather permitting. Just wondering what some of your opinions on this are and what kind of advice you might have. Thanks Lovin every second of it!

Thats the greatest video ever! Lovin every second of it!

Yes, yes it does. Although you will at least be able to find second-hand containers, a custom jumpsuit definitely sounds like it's in your near future. Tunnel is one thing, and by all means buy a suit for the tunnel if you're doing a lot of that (your questions can be answered by your local dealer, who will also measure you (do NOT do this yourself) and the tunnel will hopefully be able to point you in the direction of one). But for AFF, it's likely they'll have a student-specific suit they will want you to wear. So depending on how much you intend to fly in the tunnel between now and then, it's potentially less important. As for shoes, no particular kind as long as they're comfortable and will stay on (and don't have hooks to snag on). Flat-soled skate shoes are popular and work well, but that's mostly just fashion. (Although as you will discover, fashion is really important ) Well I'm doing about 1 hour a month in the tunnel right now and hopefully headed to VA for AFF in the next month or 2. I suppose that kind of time in tunnel it would probably be wise to get a suit? Lovin every second of it!

Well thats part of the thing. I have a slightly slow fall rate but the suits at the tunnel are ether a little to short or long enough but way to baggy. I'm 6'2" and only about 160lbs. Tall and skinny always makes it hard to fit into stuff. Lovin every second of it!

Hey guys/gals just looking for a little advice on jump suits. Right now I'm doing a lot of tunnel time and will be starting AFF in a couple of months. I plan on jumping a lot so durability is a factor. Also what measurements do I need to take in order to size the jump suit? This will be my first suit purchase so I'm not sure where to start. Should I get a certain type of shoe as well? Thanks for the advice and recommendations in advance. I've been getting a lot of great advice on here about many things, so you guys are awesome!!

Hey guy/gals just wondering if any of you know of any real good DZ's near or around Richmond VA. Looks like this is where I will be traveling for my next work assignment, though its not 100% yet, and since its a little warmer down that way I'm thinking of doing AFF down around there instead of waiting until it gets warm in PA. Any info or recommendations are greatly appreciated. Lovin every second of it!

Ok I hope I'm not doing something wrong by posting this. I read the sticking about not trying to sell tunnel time to share, but all I am doing here is asking if anybody goes to SkyVenture NH and is a beginner like me and would want to share sometime as to make it less expensive. I can belly fly pretty well but have to work on my side slides and fall rate. I am also starting back fly basics next weekend. I going to be making the hike up there every other week for the weekend for about 10 to 15 minutes on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Next time I'm going up is the 30th, 1st, and 2nd of December. Let me know if your interested. Thanks

The overall video is over about 18 months but the majority of the flying has been in 2012, I'm at about 16-17 hours for the year. Thats awesome! The video shows that there is possibility for progression. I am at about 1 hour and 20 minutes and I'm going to start back flying next weekend. I have a question if you don't mind? How long did it take you to start back flying? Just trying to gauge haw far along I am compared to others? Thanks

Wow Doug it was like you were at my first tandem jump! BANANA!!! Lovin every second of it!

>I was afraid of was losing my grip before I was ready to go, and falling early. And I realized that I had a parachute and was planning on doing that anyway. LOL Thats hilarious! Welcome to your new addiction! I too am pretty new to the forum and to the sport. I've done 2 tandems and 4 AFF's and then took a 9 or 10 year break due to life, job, blah blah blah. I'm sure if you go to your DZ and talk to the instructors they will be more than happy to help you with everything you need. Good luck and have fun! Lovin every second of it!

Dude awesome video!! I know you said it was 20 hours but how many days, weeks, or months was this spread over? Nice flying by the way. Lovin every second of it!
