I e-mailed him monday and no reply yet. I have bought a canopy from Andy last year and was looking to purchase a new main and reserve. I found he had the best prices and ya he's a cool guy that really counts into the return buisness. I think I talked to him for over an hour on the phone discussing just about everything. The 139 I jumped was one of the first one's made. It is Demo gear from the Gear shop at my home DZ. The 109 I jumped is probably 6 months old. So I am assuming the 139 was the old lines and the 109 was the new lines. My thoughts on the 139 was it was sluggish. The landing flare was to deep for my liking. I felt like I had to almost bring the toggles to my knees to get it to stop. The 109 was alot better. The toggles were alittle deeper in the flare but due to the speed I was creating I was able to pop it up at the end of my front riser turn Chris

I jump a spinletto 150 as well with a close wing loading to yours. I demo'd a 139 crossfire last weekend and was not happy with the flying at that wingloading. I then jumped a buddies 109 and liked the response but was dropping out of the sky. I like being able to get back from long spots being a freeflier where RW groups exit first. I am going to demo a 119 Crossfire and 120 Cobalt. That is my oppinion on the 139 Crossfire that I jumped. Hopefully you will enjoy yours. If not don't be afraid to try 119 along with the 129. Chris

I'm tryinng to contact Andy McCormack at Parachute Rigging Inc. He runs (or used to run the rigging loft at Skydive America Palm Beach) When I call the number it gives me a recording that this number is temporarly out of service. Anyone know how I can get ahold of him? Chris

SUMMERFEST ROCKED!!! I've been to 4 WFFC's and one thing SDC has over Quincy is that you can get away from elbow to elbow people if you want. The vibes were great, the beverage flowing, and skydives cranking. I was only able to make it up on weekends do to work. But was still able to make 35 jumps at a relaxing pace at a cost of $14! Had friends that stayed there all week and ended up with 60-70. Rodger did a great job setting this up and I have not heard a negative comment yet from anyone. As far as aircraft go I would rather get on a super otter and be at altitude in 15 min then a Casa and get there in 25-30 min. Just my thoughts Chris

I freefly with my Oxygen A3. I removed the visor because it was causing the helmet to become loose due to drag in a sit. I now have no problems with the velcro coming loose. I also have friends that have sewn velcro clear to the end of the strap so none is free flapping in the wind. The extra protection is the best. Ya you can't see everyone geeking the camera but we still have all our teeth. Chris

I must say that I will not buy stainless hardware again. I purchased a new rig with stainless and had problems with the leg straps slipping. I believe it was due to the finishing process of the leg strap buckles. The "teeth" on the buckle did not have the edges on them that non stainless hardware have. I am very happy with the nickle plated hardware Plus it leaves me more money for jumps.
