I kinda do. But saying they are overpriced and overrated is not really far from the truth. You can get a quality suit from Bev, Tony, or even Deepseed for half the price of a LS. Let's see who usually buys LS (my experience and observations): 1. The cool kids..or those who think they are cool as shit because they know staff at a DZ. 2. The rich kids...or those who get mommy and daddy to pay for a LS tunnel suit just so they can compete in tunnel days (mind you half these kids don't even skydive). 3. The select few...or those who really truely have skills to pay the bills. 4. The non select few...or those who are posers (again with just alot of money to throw around when they could have gotten any other suit that does just about the same thing). it's like buying a Vector container fitting a 190 and having it embroiled Micron Series on the side wall. So who's really buying LS....mainly those people who have money to throw around (which really tells them alot about them) when they could get any other suit that fulfills the same role. Liquidsky is a status thing...just like how people buy BMW or Ferrari to show off. I can't afford one and I am jealous Just sayingFIFY I own a BMW... Because I can and I love driving it. It is the ultimate driving machine. Quit hating on things you do not have... oops maybe I am on to something. BWM is nice bro..i'll admit. hahaha. Exactly my thoughts as well I'm not bitter bro,,,just annoyed and think the answer "try using the search feature" is warrented. Every week, here on the forums we get some yahoo finishing up AFF or still in student status asking about buying a rig. And every week we get the same replies such as "you don't need to buy gear at this point", "you should rent", "you should take a canopy course", "get new if you have money", "get used if you are broke and don't have a job", etc etc etc. People otta try using the search feature before they start posting the same about a topic that's been thoroughly discussed. Am i not correct? So instead of gear, they should be focused on say, asking out your instructors? Read the post, ignore it, and move on. Dude, i'm so over that instructor..that's so old news

Gixxer is an awesome bike..i'd get one. But it's true that all the squids do end up getting a Gixxer. Don't lie..i see all them squids at bike nite with either a Gixxer OR R1.

I really don't mind a whole bunch of tandems... they view us licensed skydivers as "omg, those skydivers must be crazy but they are soooooo cool! I'd totally date one!". besides it's the tandem business that keep the DZs open for us real skydivers who are licensed

I purchased a used rig with a Pilot (loaded at 0.93) when I had about 20 jumps. I knew I would not be downsizing. 250+ jump later the decision(s) are maybe two of the best ones that I have made in skydiving. that's because you, sir, are a bad ass you know your limits and most likely you talked to your local DZ and instructors instead of inquiring here on DZ.com

Isn't calling that a near miss a misnomer? It should be call a near hit. I mean think about it. A near miss implies you nearly missed. So the inverse of that is you totally missed? Anyhow, those dudes should fly the pattern from what was shown.

You're gonna have to be here a long while. Son, when you get to my age, you really won't want to think about how much money you've put into the sport. If you need a number ---> $0.05+ Nope. You don't know what you don't know. True enough to a point...if you ignore the intangibles. Do you realize just how many people travel from EUROPE to learn here? They save money AND get a vacation out of it. The first 2 yeas alone (for myself) i've put in about $20K...AFF, the classes, coached, food, packer money, condoms, gas, gear, first rig, jumps, beer (for all those damn firsts! ), liquor, renting a place (because DZ is 2 hours away from home and i'm lazy to wake up early), taking potential prospects out on dates.

Compared to OP you do not have limited experience. Don't you ever EVER put yourself down like that.

You'll meet alot of jumpers out there. Some you should be really really careful of. But anyhow welcome to the skies. And i'll just put it out there but you wouldn't happen to be interested in a date? doesn't have to be fancy or anything..c'mon take a chance like you're taking a chance at skydiving
