Pay off all my bills, buy the house next door & tear it down, remodel my house & build a garage & shop for hubby, buy an RV, a new truck, a cute little convertible w/ hardtop, a Twin Otter for my DZ (maybe even a build a NEW DZ) donate some money to the ASPCA and a Children's Home, hide from all the relatives, renew my passport and travel from Boogie to Boogie & jump my ass off! OH YEAH! Oh and a new canopy would be sweet! _________________________________________ Old age ain't no place for sissies! -

I found the youth size XS Batting Gloves fit perfectly are warm enough, provide plenty of dexterity and they STAY on. My bones are old and I have Arthritis in my hands...sometimes it's just TOO cold to wait around in sub freezing temps for a jump! _________________________________________ Old age ain't no place for sissies! -

I wear bifocal glasses or contacts...the contacts dried out too fast and "moved" around...the bifocals worn under goggles were uncomfortable AND were causing a major vision problem at flare time...my husband suggested SINGLE vision prescription goggles...WOW what a difference...and I can still see my hand altimeter just fine! _________________________________________ Old age ain't no place for sissies!

Yes, that happened to my friend last year. I was there at the time. Her B12 came undone during a hybrid jump with two sit flyers and a hanger. Hanger reaches up and grabs all the way through the leg strap and B12, opening it up. There is then a change in relative altitude between the sitfflyer and hanger which causes the now open B12 to come away from the V-ring. The sitflyer immediately broke and unsuccessfully tried to grab the open leg strap. She ran out of altitude and finally pulled. She opened into an immediate spin because of the uneven weight distribution. By pulling on the opposite risers she was able to lessen the spin to the point that the was able to survive the impact. Thank goodness she only broke a rib or two and was very sore and bruised. It was VERY scary. _________________________________________ Old age ain't no place for sissies!

Ouch, I saw that video yesterday & glad you're okay...I also am a newbie and don't know shit but I try to avoid areas of tarmac, concrete & grass that converge...there's weird thermals coming off of different ground cover. FLARE a little higher and harder, hold it and PLF! My 52 years old knees look like they belong on a 12 year old learning how to roller skate! _________________________________________ Old age ain't no place for sissies!
