    I would second the "I hope they never do!" Too many people can seem put together and look good on paper/online but when you work with them in person you realize they have no clue or need a lot more work.

    LOL!! No fucking way, I bet they don't build 5 more in the next 5 years. At the current build/run costs there are only so many places a tunnel can survive. I do think Chicago could support a tunnel.

    Just tell the tandem guy you're interested in doing more than just one tandem, as in you want to learn how to skydive. He/she should be able to do a few extra things with you. Altimeter, canopy, ect.. If you really want to learn how to jump sign up for a first jump course after your jump.

    Did your instructors tell you that you are underloading a Pilot 190 @ 1:1? or that you were under loading a different canopy?

    Your question can't be anwsered online. Nobody on here knows if the brake lines are set too short, or too long. The canopy could be a sacked out piece of shit that isn't going to flare and land well no matter what you do. You need to talk to your next instructor about this.

    Will believe it when I see it. It was "supposed" to be out a few times before. There will probably be a few cool scenes but i'm sure the acting and plot will be pretty lame.

    On time is by 4000ft, or if one of the instructors dumps you out because you're not doing it. If your reserve gets dumped you and/or the instructors really screwed up.

    Nobody died. The winner had a base canopy and bigger balls :) Got to love bandit jumps in the middle of nowhere!

    Too many instructors pass people who did not complete the dive flow. If a student doesn't pull on time they fail. period. If the instructors sucked and couldn't do thier job they should not accept any money for the jump and give it back to the student. Just because an instructor screwed up that does not give the student an automatic pass.

    Sounds like you need to find some new instructors! I'm surprised they passed you onto level 2 since you didn't really do anything. I know you tried but you didn't pull, do practice pulls or actually check your altitude.

    That's a lame excuse. I prefer people to be honest and simply say it doesn't interest them. We all have priorities and if jumping is one, it is amazing how people make a way. I've seen plenty of skydivers in beat up cars that their peers wouldn't be caught dead in. Then there is the guy who whose to 'poor' to skydive, but drives a new sports car. Quote It is not a lame excuse to use money as a reason. Some people want a nice house and car. They also want to save money for things like retirement, kids education, vacations, ect.. People can always work at the dz, be it a packer, instructor, grunt, whatever. But that can get old when you work 40+ hours at a normal job and then have to go work again just to jump. It just isn't worth it to everyone.

    Money, family, work, no close dz, not wanting to risk serious injury or death, ect.... The list is endless really. There could be tons of excuses why.
