School's out for summer School's out forever School's been blown to pieces -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.
  2. Don't worry, we (me and Lana) understand that Still, if a thread you start gets erased, it's nice to know what happened. Besides, after the recent sodomy fiascos, now that I think about it it's easy to understand why the moderators would consider a thread like that potentially inflammatory. Back to your scheduled post whoring -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 4. The thing is, it was a joke. I don't think Sangiro would appreciate jokes being posted in the classifieds. Was that why it was erased? -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 5. First of all, I'm not bitching or complaining. Anyway, my gf just made a post, in jest, which was deleted 5 minutes after she posted it. As far as I could tell, the post violated none of the four rules of the board, which are: a) No personal attacks. b) No paedophilia. c) No advertising. d) Stick to the topic. I recall a few of the sodomy threads also being erased. My question is, what was the violation? I'm not arguing with the moderators decision, but I would like to know what led to that decision so that I do not make another post that will have to be erased. Thanks! -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.

  7. It doesn't work with some microwaves. I tried it once and nothing happened, but smart people claim it can work. I'm guessing you need to put the water on a supernode in the microwave, or maybe some microwaves just don't give enough power. Or maybe you need water of a certain purity or something. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 8. Do you let the water stand after you're done microwaving it? Do you use full power? -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.
  9. Power is nothing if all it can produce is a bunch of electronic farts. I've got a nice little getup in front of me: a Yamaha RX-V520 with a pair of Paradigm Monitor 5s in a small room with good acoustics. It may not produce 100,000 watts, but I can hear the high hats the drummers use to accentuate the snares, so there. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 10. Microwave water in a cup for a minute or so. Then VERY VERY CAREFULLY take it out of the microwave and drop anything into it. Duck and cover. Evaporation can only occur if the environment can receive the gas and only from exposed surfaces. Microwaved water in a cup can only evaporate from the top of the cup, and that happens too slowly, so the water superheats to something like 150 C. When you dump something into the water, you move it around, and all of a sudden it can evaporate much faster, so it evaporates. Violently. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 11. I've been to a rave that had an outdoor sound system with a total output of 200,000 watts (reportedly). Of course, it wasn't that loud, it was mostly for the woofers and the very large area they had to cover. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 14. Oh yeah, that's great You know about microwave water bombs? EDITED TO ADD: In case someone goes and tries it, please be careful when microwaving candles. At least do it in a very well ventilated room. Some candles produce poisonous gas when microwaved. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 20. You sure? What is the percentage of girls that got unintentionally pregnant when stoned versus not stoned? What is the real risk of completely tuning out when stoned? Ironically, Alcohol = Teen pregnancy is not BS. I really doubt you haven't seen guys pressuring girls to drink because they want to get laid. I've seen enough of that to be sick to my stomach, myself. Now let me see if I can find that article. The point is, if we want to be a truly good society, then we need to accept that pot and alcohol are also mind altering drugs, and stop using them. To place an arbitrary distinction between alcohol, pot, and whatever else, is hypocrisy. Since this is clearly being done already, I vote for a policy of damage containment rather than eradication. Transform the crack and heroin addicts into people the society can accept an integrate. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 21. What is the intent of smoking rooms, BASE sites and bars? It's not to help, but to simply provide an environment to engage in the activity where it does not harm others. A "safe house" is aimed at eradicating the use of drugs. Whether this particular implementation will be effective, we will have to wait and see. Seems to me that by simply treating the addict humanely and giving him a pamphlet to read every time s/he comes in to the "safe house" can already start the process of building trust between us and the community of drug addicts. Once this trust is established, it will be possible to exert some form of control over the drugs. Perhaps this will ultimately transform the drug use of today into "booze and crack" bars where people use a harmless form of the drug in a controlled environment, much like they use alcohol today. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 22. From the little I know about the original four books that make up the life of Christ, his preachings can be summed up in one sentence as "love everyone and everything, all the time, under all circumstances, and never stop loving them no matter what until the day you die." Show me one person today who follows that and you may save the world from nuclear devastation. Then again, are you sure that following these preachings is a good idea? To comment on the original topic, no, it is not justified. Constitutionally, you are allowed to do whatever you want as long as it does not affect other people. Morally it is a much thinner patch of ice, but I can still give you a coherent argument on why not. Only a properly formulated, deductive argument represents any kind of Truth. A sound deductive argument may only be disputed by disputing the axioms it stems from. If two people find no dispute in the axioms, they must both accept the conclusion of the deductive argument. Thus enlightening becomes explaining. When someone can explain to me why homosexual sex is wrong from axioms that I take as self evident, I will be forced to accept the argument. The obvious question is, what are the axioms that are self evident to everyone (universal)? I have no answer to that, but it's easy to see if an axiom is not universal by finding a person who disagrees with it. In the case of homosexual marriage we can find hundreds of thousands of people who disagree with the axioms of any argument against such marriage, hence the axioms cannot be universal, and so their conclusions cannot be universal either. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. 23. I did not look at the initiative this way. "Safe houses" are the first step to the eradication of drug use. Obviously, if there was a magic wand that we could wave that would heal all the addicts and imprison all the dealers all at once we would just wave it and be done with the problem. Barring that, we must come up with a gradual program that would slowly reduce the harm being caused by the drugs, increase education about the drugs, promote trust in us by the drug users, which will eventually lead to the extinction of drugs as a business. I see this initiative as the first step in this process. -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy.
