The Kansas City Skydiving Center
chutejump replied to PaulsProudSis's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Another imposter poster to bolster the cause for the new DZ. At this meeting, I watched Tommy Dolphin and Chris Hall, both dropzone owners in the KC area; completely rip apart the safety of skydiving. And you base your knowledge of skydiving safety as offered from who? your alledged brother? He very strongly encouraged the city of Harrisonville to add an insurance requirement to their lease that he knew was unobtainable. Not True! If anyone would like I have a copy of the "original" dated contract offered your so called brother, which has the insurance, requirement, I will gladely send it to "anyone" who wants to know the truth! I only asked the counsel how they planned to bind this contract, "because" this insurance is not obtainable, I also stated that if they could bind this contact that in my opinion they "should accept" the contract agreement! Your "brother" needs to become a little more educated in understanding contractual agreements, and your memory so become a little less selective! This guy, Jumper 410, who has tried everything to sabotage my brother’s dream, has the nerve to than talk about ethics. Yes! Let's speak of ethics! BTW Who the fuck are you? After all of this who can blame him for not having the time to get his website updated? "He" is the DZO, it's "HIS" store! It's "HIS" resonsibility! It's call operating a business, of course it is much easier to "blame" anything. and everyone else! Hey it's the american way! Right? ***Everyone involved with that should be ashamed!! "NO" shame, I was asked by many parties involved to offer my opinion, "I DID" I did not pursue this on my own behalf. I only spoke the truth and pointed out facts that were relavent to the process, and my knowledge of the sport. If you are to make excuses for your "brother" than you should address the responsible party! Ultimately wheather you wish to accept it or not! Mr. Paul E. is the person whom is responsible for the situation as it is today! Blame is an easy game to play, and unforntunately used by too many persons for any and all things! If your "brother" wishes to be a DZO he better learn very quickly that "any and all" things that occur at his facility are "his" responsibility! I'm sure he would have no problem in excepting the credit, if something goes his way! and in my opinion his "allowing" his supposed sister to pled his inability to provide the advertised facility and aircraft are proof positive, of what has been spoken. Your "brother" should grow some "stones" and learn to do his own dirty work. I'm sorry for those whom feel that my post is very unsensitive, to all with opinions or involved, but this is the real world, and this is a real business, so if you want to cry about getting sand inyour eyes, than you should get out of the fucking sandbox! I will one up all of the BULL SHITTERS and posters on this subject! I "will" and "can" provide any info or proof that you request. Now if any of you want to know the "truth" of my involvement or what I have stated or done, wish to have copies of documents pertaining to any part of the process, want phone numbers or names, of parties involved, Please contact me! I like so many, have become sick and tired of the entire process, and wish to hear no more on the subject. Put up or Shut up! Tom Dolphin, SkydiveMRVS -
Drop Zone Ethics - 101 (In Kansas City)
chutejump replied to jumper410's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I agree. If the MRVS DZ is sooooo great, continue to jump there. And if its soooo wonderful, then the old DZOs have no fear of others leaving it right? QuoteI just don't get where eveyone comes off with this supposed fear of losing up jumpers that everyone talks about on these treads? Is it a self imposed value on up jumpers part? What fear? Fear of what? I have not as you call it "lost" any jumpers to the new DZ, and have no concerns of doing so! Besides K-State is a club, if everyone left the remainder of you would still jump, the bills are paid by the school! Oh -I forgot! you pay $25.00 a month. Get over it! -
Drop Zone Ethics - 101 (In Kansas City)
chutejump replied to jumper410's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
MRVS' website also claims that they have "the midwest's only full-service parachute loft." I know I've been to at least a few DZ's in the midwest that had full-time full-service rigging lofts. Well I guess I can answer your question, Full service! Yes! We can do any and "ALL" repairs to include drop testing for return to service requirements, we can manufacture any and "ALL" compotents to include special length and use reserve ripcords, you name it we can do it! Question! ever been to the loft? have any knowledge of the equipment onsite for use on repairs? If we wanted you could bring us a data tag and we can build you a rig around it! That is what a "Full Service Parachute Loft " is. I'm sure the other locations you referenced to are able to preform much of the repairs and maintenance on the average rig, we are able to go the extra distance. As for the statement "safety record second to none!" Bring um on! I'll compare notes with any and all DZ's and have the stats to prove the point! Not just advertisment banter and Bull Shit. -

A Hurricane Exposes the Man-Made Disaster of the Welfare State
chutejump replied to burbleflyer's topic in Speakers Corner
I agree! I lost my business during the flood of 93. I heard of all of the help that the government was providing, but never saw a thing? no assistance, no financial offerings, nada. But FEMA mistakenly gave 10 Million in food rations and financial assistance to the welfare minority in Kansas City whom were not effected by the flood, and after realizing the mistake stated that this would not have occurred if they had been allocated more money for personal. I started to rebuild the very day that I could return to my place of business. clean up the mess, salvage what was left, I had no money, no income, and had nearly all of my assets destroyed. One month after the flood the Looters form kansas City came down and stole every remaining thing that I had salvaged from the flood, I did not even have a hammer or tools to secure the building that they had broken into. Than a week after that a government employee in a motor grader mistakenly backed over my truck and totaled it. Did I set and whine about why the government and God had forsaken me? NO! In this world if you want something, YOU must do something to acquire it. You must take the responsibility to do something for yourself. I had completely rebuilt by 96 and now am in a better position than I was prior to the disaster of the flood. Everyone else saw damage and loss, by looking past the apparent, I saw opportunity. All of this was only produced by the effort and need on my part to take back what I had lost. I am sorry for these people, but I see that they are receiving what they are earning with their efforts. Life is like a job! YOU earn nothing! YOU get nothing! And to answer your question YES! I own and operate a DZ. -
Skydiving in Kansas City, has a great place to go! MRVS These guys have all the bases covered. Complete training, from jump student to jump pilot, and all the ratings in between. Sure we all want mega turbine aircraft, but there are some places that you just love to call home! and this is one of them! A lot of DZ's blow smoke about whom they are, and what they do, This place will put their money where the other DZ's offer mouth. These guys can SKYDIVE! and will assist you in becoming one of their own.
