About the way our year is starting out? Me too

Stuey, So no classification for 500+ skydives total? Not all HP landings. Exceptions? Looked on rules, but found no info regarding this. B.

Dude, forget em. There are people in the sport we refer to as "Skygods". Those that are too "good" to be bothered with such issues and normalcies that all beginner skydiver deals with. Some are assholes about it, and some dont want to be your friend for a while, until you have "proved" yourself. Either way, just give them thier space and try not to take it personally right off the bat. It's not how I operate, and I dont agree with how they choose to treat others, but whatever, ya cant change them right? Well, there is the same phenomenom here on DZ.Com. I'm not quite sure what you could refer to them as....maybe "PostGod, PostWhore, or GeekyInternetFucktard". But nonetheless, they are there. Its the ones that forgot what it was like when they just started anything new and exciting. Some have tact.....most dont. If anyone gives you shit for a question they deemed irritating, just ignore them and go about your biz... There are ways though to make your introduction to DZ.com as smooth as possible. 1. Lurk a while and get a feel for it. There are definitely a "few" interesting characters here. 2. When you have a burning question, toss it into the search posts link first...you will be amazed at all the useless crap we talk about here. 3. NO ALL CAPS! 4. And last but not least, realize that with every post, no matter how much sense you make, ie proven laws of physics...there will be some clown that will argue with you anyways, just because their job sucks ass and they have nothing to do at work, except give you shit. 5. Laws of Gravity will be excempt from #4. If they do argue with that, then they arent a skydiver anyways and your wasting your time talking to a whuffo. Welcome to Dramazone.com and don't feed the trolls....

There is this rash I can't seem to get rid of.....huhmmmphh......I guess I lied to the customs agent when I said I wasn't bringing anything back with me.

Well, I mailed him about the canopy and heres how it went. Me Hi. Do you have the serial # for the canopy? I am sorry to hear about your friend. What was his name? Did this happen recently? Brad D-27807" Him Yes, the serial number is #001 I guess that means it was the first one of this kind ever made...? Maybe that was the problem. About my friend; I deal with it with humor now. No hard feelings. Good luck... So I am calling total bullshit. 001 my ass. No answers to most questions. If anyone here buys this, you get what you asked for.
-
What a sick fuck. Obviously has no idea of the skydiving family. I know for sure no one I know would buy it, but some stupid whuffo will probably buy it and tie the lines to his belt loops and go jump off a bridge thinking hes a base jumper. If if wasnt so damn ugly, and it was under 20 bucks, I would buy it and staple it to the ceiling of my garage just to keep it out of a morons hands.

Oh man, the possibilities for jokes here are endless. I'm too tired to type them all out. Will some other DZ.com perv please take advantage of this....

Chelle, Hey, sorry to hear that it was a friend. I had the same experience the same day up here in Snohomish. Though I could not classify Spencer as my friend, he was a fellow jumper that I just had gotten to know. As far as that goes, you and I were the same perverbial boat, and it sucked. Here is what I did that day. Jumping was cancelled at the DZ, for good reason. We hung out for a while as everyone was in shock, but people started to leave after a while. My buddy and I left about 2 hours after it happend. We didn't talk right after we left and I had this pressure in my chest that I could not get rid of. It was a physical pressure, not psycological, and I really felt that the only way I could shake it, was to go to another DZ and make a jump. So that is what we did. We drove another 2 hours up to Pitt, BC with the hopes of doing a jump. We called another buddy up there as no jumpers were at the DZ due to bad ceiling. He met us there so there was 3 of us for a Cessna load. The ceiling ended up being only 3k. We decided that all this effort was to be for nothing, so we went for it. On the ride to altitude, we noticed some Virga (rain that doesn't make it to the surface) right over the airport. Well, this was going to be interesting. So were on jump run and the rain is definitely not just a mist. I climb out and am literally getting pelted, drop off and take the most beautiful sub-termial opening under my X-fire I have ever had. I enjoyed the canopy flight in the rain very much. It was an unusual experience. We all landed and the smiles were large and the laughs loud. The knot was gone, and it was a memorable jump that I am sure I will remember. Moral to the story? Just learn from others mistakes, make sure it doesn't happen to you and get back out there as soon as you can. More than likely, you will feel much better than you do now. If you can't get to it right away, that's fine, but make sure you do. I will be there the week of the 23rd to the 30th, and would be more than happy to go up with you to get your butt back on the horse. The jump's on me.

Ok, So I have tried several P2P programs, but none really seem to work well. What I mean is that everytime I go to get a couple songs, there are million people in que and its pointless to try to download it. So what do you use? Anyone use the P2P part of Deepnet Explorer?

Damn, got video of that? Love to see it.

Perhaps, you should take your pussy to the gyn....er vet I mean. I think a shot could cure it.

Where each house has a moat around it with alligators as "pets". Go out towards old SoBe or SDAmerica and you can find some really big property for nil. Course, you would have to wear a respirator during cane burning season. -
Is the sound that eminated from my shorts when my Skyflyer1 arrived in the mail today. Schweeet. *Beavis* "Eh heh heh heh, yeah, this is cool, Eh heh heh heh. Booinngggggggggg!!!!" Out.

Well, since you dont have the Under the Bridge Bar, in downtown Dingle, Ireland, I will have to abstain from voting. -
Brian, I used to live in Agoura, which is one town up from Calabasas. Its can be a high rent town, or moderately priced, it depends on your taste. Up in the hills, the housing can get quite pricey, but there are many really cool and hip condos in the canyons out there. As far as traffic, it can be crappy at times, so if you plan on living away from your work, you must go north. About 30 minutes north is Newbury Park. I used to live there also. It has grown much since then, and housing can be expensive as well. It is about as far as you would want to go north of Calabasas for the commute. Any futher than that, and you would have to go another 30-40 minutes to Ventura for decent housing and atmosphere. If that isn't too much of a drive for you, I highly reccomend that you check it out. Right on the coast and cool hip young type of clubs and scene. Ok, back to Newbury Park. If you go one more town closer to Calabasas, you hit Thousand Oaks. Its ok, and more affordable. Scene is pretty much nil, but not that far from Westlake. Westlake Village. Lived there from 1980-1986. Very nice and expensive place to live. Forget housing, as most 2200 square footers will run you in the 500's+ easy. The condo scene there is really really cool, but I'm sure, equally expensive. PS, if you like sushi, I can tell you of the best place on the Pacific Shelf. Moving on towards Agoura. Lots of condo's and townhomes. Some are realy hip and cool, but the houses in the are were kinda lacking in style. At least when I was there. Not much night life, like none at all, unless you like hangin out in front of Wendy's. Probably cheaper than Calabasas. On to Agoura. It has it's high rent and its low rent areas. I lived in a quaint 2 bedroom townhome with a car port for a while just after I got married in 1997 there. I was paying 900 a month, and that was a deal at the time, as it was for sale and open to realitors. Now, if you take Kanan Road to the East, you can connect Agoura, Westlake, and Thousand Oaks by a meeting point of the town called North Ranch. Ok, you need some serious cash to live here. The houses are huge and awesome. All the tits you see will be fake, and if you aren't driving a 50k plus SUV you will be out of place. It is a really really nice place to live, many movie stars live here to boot. My wife and I house sat for Will Smith out there. Were talking million plus here on the average. Ok, now Calabasas. The most north part of Calabasas is more than likely the most affordable. There are many condo's and apartments in the area here, and when I left the area, a new Cheesecake Factory moved into town. This is a really neat pasta place. So if that kind of establishment moved there, I'm sure that there is even more of that kinda scene. Its close to the Valley, ie San Fernado Valley. If you are going to live here, you must referr to it as the "Valley". If you are looking to live in a suburbia type of area, this is the last stop before the Valley. For the most part after this, things get rediculous as far as traffic, rude ass dick drivers, and horribe smog. The Valley, and all of the other towns I talked about are seperated by a small range of hills that keep all the shit in the Valley. Also, from Malibu Canyon Rd, which is in the north end of Calabasas, you can be at the Pacific Ocean in 20 minutes. All kinds of really really cool resturaunts, Pepperdine University, and beaches beaches beaches baby. Wish ya luck dude. Let me know what you do, I really want to know. Ciao.

Awesome vid. And by the way, dont listen to anyone that tells you that this was posted before. Who cares. This was the first time I saw it and I'm glad I got to. We can never view what can happen to us enough, and learn from it. Thank you from posting it and dont mind the wannabe Ivans. Word.... -
So, just to clarifly, there is a get-together for this Sat, or Sun? Was it Josh's wishes to be cremated, and if so, will there be a jump in his Honor? I hope to meet you Raistlin, you are a prophet for Josh's memory. B.

SDmovies is private viewing only. You have to have an account, not that its really private, but clips cannot be linked to as most are on the net. Just put it up on the malfunctions area and be content with possibly arming another with a piece of info they might not have thought of before to get themselves out of a heap of shit. Just last week, I viewed a double mal that encompassed the dude yankin the shit out of his reserve risers to get his bag locked reserve out....all on his back. It worked....hes fine....and holy shit...was it exciting video. More importantly, it armed me with another "Hail Mary" possibility, if and when that time comes to bear. Hopefully no time soon. If at all.....

Police "Wrapped Around Your Finger". Its one of those songs I hadn't hear in a while. It always seems to fit into life in some way, no matter what. My son, my wife, jumpin....... truly a cool song.
