  1. Yup, sports mode did this on my PC120. Turn it off and it goes away.
  2. Hey, anyone have their phone #? I need it in a big hurry...!!!!!1
  3. *Napoleon Dynamite* "Goddd........STUPID!.........."
  4. So, are there any out there? This car by Toyota is priced right and consumer reports has good things to say about it......but I would like to hear if from an owner. I'm looking for a car based suv that gets really good mileage so I can give the hybrid technology some more years to tweak things even better. My Landrover is killing me with mileage. I don't plan on having the Scion for more than 4 or so years..... Anyone?
  5. So, I am setting up my new Optic Illusion with dig stills and the PC120. I decide to wire my bite switch first. I have the conceptus switch with the leads on one end that go to a female 3/32 port on the inside of the helmet. Then a double male 3/32 from the camera to the port, both 90 degrees. I tested all the connections before I soldered it all together and it worked good for the most part. It would get all shot happy for some reason, but I figured it was because I was holding the last pair of wire on the plug right at the camera. I bit on the switch and it worked like it was supposed to. So I soldered it all together. Plugged it in and it went apeshit.....firing like crazy. So I figured that I got too hot at one of the 90 plugs. Went back to the store and got some more plugs. Came home and redid them with that fancy schmancy Cold Heat iron. Which by the way, is a fucking pain in the ass to use on small items, but keeps the heat at bay. I plugged it back in and wouldn't ya know it....same goddamn thing.........clicky click click. Wouldn't stop. I'm not sure what was more annoying.... redoing something not only to have it not work....or erasing a million pics off my flashcard. So here is where I really get mad. I figure, hey, I'm not a dumbass....I know I did this right... something else is wrong. I plug it back in and bite the switch a bunch of times and the constant shooting goes away. So I'm thinking....... no... it couldn't be..... I take the switch and bend it back and forth lengthwise...and sure as shit....the goddamn thing is fucking broke. Broke right out of the bag. Shorted out inside, or bad connection. If I knew I wasn't going to get taken care of by Conceptus, I would have smashed the fucking switch with a 10lb maul for good measure. I wasted 3 hours of my life with this crap. GRrrrrrrr.....
  6. Holy shit.....your description is fucking hilarious...... Sucks to be you!!!!!1 2 words......ozone machine....
  7. Your reply is exactly what I was expecting. Out of context and sarcastic. You can try to undermine me all you want, your only showing your underbelly....... You know exactly what I am talking about, but decide to act immature. Why are so many old timers threatened by freeflyers?
  8. This sounds like there is a communication problem within your group. Opening alti's need to be covered before leaving the aircraft, and sometimes more than once for low time jumpers that have their mind on more than one thing. I see this to be one of the common problems with groups in your jump #'s, I know this because I was there too. I have been on several jumps where all hell broke loose and people were everywhere. Things to think about: - If people are sniveling past you, is opening alti the real problem, or seperation. - If they wern't in your group, there is a group seperation problem at the aircraft. Remind the following group to give you plenty based on ground speed. - In a group, you must open at the same alti, as predetermined. I really dont care what alti, as long as you are all doing the same and the group behind you knows what that alti is. - If you covered all your bases, and these things don't improve, you might want to not jump with them until they get thier shit together.
  9. Tom, So whats with the low pull contests that seem to happen at WFFC with no BSR enforcements? Is it that the event is so big that it is hard to find the ones responsible for this kind of stupidity? Or is it that there is a deficiency in how these large scale events are treated safety wise? B.
  10. There are very good reasons for the way things are now. Freefall speeds are greatly increased when freeflying and things happen very very fast at these speeds. During your 10 ways, not only are you on a average traveling up to 80 MPH slower, you have the ability to look at the ground during the whole jump. In freeflying, especially headdown, you are not always able to keep an eye on the big rock. This is why we wear 2-3 audibles in addition to our wrist alti. Its all about safety for what freeflyers do, so why knock it just because its not your cup of tea? Belly flying skills and needs do not always apply to other disciplines.
  11. so just don't make my lack of knowledge about some things a personal issue - because if people don't tell me then how am I supposed to know.*** Are you serious? You spoke of things you knew nothing about and spoke of them as if you knew everything! You learn by ASKING!!!!! Or for fucks sake, giving a guy with more time in the sport than you, the benefit of the doubt, instead of jumping all over his shit. Listen more, talk less and keep your mind open.
  12. *Your name here* Literally...... Its a money maker....

  15. Andy, I just spent a week at the IHOP. The rooms are seperated by room A, B, and C. A has 4-5 beds and a bathroom that is attatched. Good for matching # of people, otherwise, no. Room B has 4-5 beds as well, with no bathroom. 2 of the couples in our group took that room and made the double beds into queens by removing the matresses and puttin them on the floor and using the wood frames as a makeshift wall. It worked, but you might still share it with others. Room C is full of bunks, and an attached room that is right at the entrance of room C. I don't reccomend this room for any privacy at all. It worked great for our 15 person group, as we took over damn near the whole house, except for Babylon that was staying there as well. Those guys are cool. PS. If you stay there, I have no idea where the spare tire came from that is under one of the bunks......really, I dont.

  21. Already talked to Stu, and got things figured out. Thanks for the input, but perhaps you should let the individual that is running the comps here make the decisions. That is why I asked HIM. B.
  22. First of all, was it "you" that solved the problem? Or was it others that assisted you with coming to the conclusion that you were making a series of mistakes in not only rig size choice, but packing as well. Did you expect that if anyone else here had the same problem that all they would say was "Yes"? Do you expect no explaination? Certainly seems from here that you cannot take criticism very well at all. And at your #'s or mine for that matter, its a dangerous combination. Sure, your gear situation is solved for the moment, now if you could only work on your attitude. Drop the bravado and dissension, it can kill you in this sport.
  23. You must of stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.
  24. So were shootin for Easter week, right?
