After the Cho shooting the state of Virginia made it easier to have a temporary detaining order issued. Everything has been made easier, saw a video of a guy arrested for using his iPhone in front of a police station on charges it was terror related. He might have been video taping it and was an "ass" to cops, that was his biggest crime. He's in the state system now too.

What I don't like about it are they His mother says it's political speech and agrees with certain issues he's raised. Once your in the "state" system your rights are violated. The "mental health crisis intervention workers" these are also "state" workers? I can agree somewhat that the current conditions of this country are far removed from what it was supposed to be like.

Or he was a violent drunk posting online rants. I'm anti- a lot of things. I knew of one guy in an online forum being taken away by the FBI for his videos and his threat against politicians during the Obama race. Committed an act of some kind against a ..congressman? don't recall. In his videos the guy was clearly deranged. Had a God complex. Same online forum knew of a guy who made a video he shot himself through the shoulder with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol. He disappeared afterwards. If the guy 'is" crazy, good. However the Facebook page does so effectively what it does. it's almost designed to discredit the person. Maybe he is crazy I don't have enough facts. I'll have to check out what they have to say.

If you've initiated sex with a woman whos asleep you are a rapist.
jinlee replied to Skyrad's topic in Speakers Corner
Based on English law he has a valid point. Although the first two acts of copulation were consensual the third act of copulation was rape. It is reasonable to expect all acts were consensual, IMHO -

England and Wales Main article: Rape in English law Rape is a statutory offence. It is created by section 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. Definition of rape Rape is defined as follows:[25] Rape (1) A person (A) commits an offence if— (a) he intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (B) with his penis, (b) B does not consent to the penetration, and (c) A does not reasonably believe that B consents. -
Another case of police using excessive force

Here is an example of how as an employer I cope with wage issues. I have 2 guys, one is in Bucharest, Romania and the other Cario, Egypt. I pay them via PayPal. For the job they preform there is no way I would be able to pay an American for the same skill set. As an example an American would need $2,500. These guy perform the same work, are eager to work and receive $500 to $600 for the same skill set. .... and here is the kicker, they are more skilled at what they do. Here is a quote I interviewed several people over the course of last month and I can tell you this is true. I don't know what my applicants are studying in college but it doesn't apply in the real world. Unless a college student takes it upon themselves to educate themselves, what they are learning in college will be of no use upon graduation.

He hasn't been elected yet, fortunately. I'm happier when I do not follow politics.

Not many fucks were given by the good citizens of the great state of Missouri. Like elsewhere in the country. Now they can see clearly they've elected an idiot. To late.

So when you complain, against the war in Iraq, airport security and the Patriot Act, then that makes YOU a "subversive"? Do you really not see a diference? Yeah, some people are all talk, and others are brave enough to put their money where their mouth is. The American Revolution was fought by people who who were willing to put their lives and fortunes at risk to fight against unjust laws. Where would this country be if everyone were just mindless sheep that meekly went along with whatever the government tells us to do, as you imply we should? Those sheeple who blindly follow without question every new government law. Welcome to now.

Nerds are a valuable staple of our twisted self-culture, serving as punching bags for the elite and as loveable underdogs for the downtrodden. Sometimes, these nerds manage to break free of their geek chains (which they will be quick to tell you are made from Adamantium) and overcome the odds. It is these nerds who we gather here today to celebrate. Sure, they might not be able to throw a tight spiral forty yards down the field and they need an asthma inhaler to get through, well… through anything really but in the end these nine nerds serve as an inspiration to nerdlings everywhere. Sure, maybe that writer from Gizmodo still won’t date you, but what the hell, someone out there will. After all, these nerds managed to find love -– or at least a whole lot of money, which from what I understand is a kind of love. Mark Zuckerberg The Social Network might as well have been the remake of Revenge of the Nerds. I mean, after all, the whole premise of the movie seemed to be that Mark Zuckerberg was sick of being just another programming nerd and decided cut a swath of destruction through his social world in route to building a castle made of money atop a giant mountain made of, well, money and the broken dreams of his friends/rivals. Of course, this was a fictionalized hyper-sensationalized depiction of the life of the real Mark Zuckerberg, who by various accounts seems to be neither vindictive nor status-obsessed. In fact, he’s just a genius who capitalized –- big time -– on an idea, which honestly is about as American a story as you can find. But, even if you take all the Iago-like plotting out of the Mark Zuckerberg story, what you’re left with is the story of a nerd (the last time I checked, mastering computer programming as a child not only marked you as a highly, highly gifted person but it also gave you a free pass into secret nerd societies everywhere ) who conquered the world. I mean, I doubt Mark Zuckerberg is sitting around outraged because a woman from Gizmodo didn’t like him, you know? Hell, Mark Zuckerberg could buy Gizmodo -– and everything else too, including that writer. (Hell, this writer too if he’s reading. I’m not too proud to pitch in if you need a new footrest/court jester, milord. Why, yes, I will take a check.) Sitting on top of almost 15 billion dollars tends to give you a lot of options. Oh, and it also pretty much automatically makes you one of life’s winners.

They were learning the things that allow you to make some many jumps today. Did you think all the advancements in safety, equipment and technique just appeared one day? Sparky An entertaining humorous, silly skydiving movie... excellent jump fortage for it's time, (1967). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fathom_(film) I watched it after I learned of it in another thread. Good quality from the pirate bay as a d/l. http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/3737276/Fathom_-_Raquel_Welch_-_DivxRipBy_RUBrTOE.avi Wooden handles as toggles??? really?

Businessman Says President Obama Can Kiss His...
jinlee replied to jinlee's topic in Speakers Corner
What do think President Obama's motivation would be to destroy this country? I'm asking a serious question. Do you really think he ran for President with the hidden motive to destroy the United States? How did he hide his motives from his staff and all the people who helped get him elected? Or are they in on it too? I think what Obama is pointing out is that like, the ground, and the air, and also food, shelter, good health, all the things that people thank God for is not a place the government should try to place itself, or a President. [/:(]It's rudely overbearing at best, dangerous to liberty, it's why we are all living in fear now.... some people are. and even if it's naively meant as good will, in the real world business-wise on a global level it's counter-productive. It's problematic in all governments now. More people working at the FAA to review skydivers PLA's is but an example. Business and trade on a global level now is tough. The US with it's financial troubles because of years of past bad business, wars, past bad business is making it even more difficult. and to the green movement, its not good for the planet. It has pushed business out of the US and the EU into Asia and they are polluting the other-side of the planet 10x worse than the US and Europe ever did, or would in the future if citizens & governments allowed clean USA/EU business to better meet the needs of all of us, instead Asia is. So yeah, overall, currently the effect is to destroy the United States. -
I don't believe that Israel has the capacity to hit all the required targets let alone effectively, within the required window of opportunity. That would be a push for the USA and Israel acting together. The way to go after those underground facilities is with kinetic energy weapons from space. No fall-out and it would be as if a meteor hit those mountains at 13,000 miles an hour. The blast crater would be larger than Barringer Crater in Arizona. That is what the x37B is for. Those wacky Iranians have not a clue what could be done to them. Were the need to arrise it would be like nothing the world has ever seen. It's not needed now, let them waste their resources.

With larger groups it doesn't replace the MK1 eyeball, it compensates for the Mark 1 ego which is less reliable.

Barrel Roll on Trackoff - Skydive Radio Interview
jinlee replied to kkeenan's topic in Safety and Training
Talk about thread drift. And what what it reveals is glaring, low-time jumpers are saying that dumping at 2,000 is the better option. Not a good trend me thinks. I've done it, don't like doing it and what I really don't like is how it can become a comfortable bad habit. Plan the dive, dive the plan, and if that can't be done, rethink the group your jumping with. -
Guys Gals! You can fix this right?
jinlee replied to shah269's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The flames and intense heat of the rocket motors roasted the parachute assembly.... back to the drawing board... I've settled the matter to everyones satisfaction. Please lock the thread now. Thanks
