I'll arrive on the afternoon of October, 30. So prepare some BBQ! M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

Hey, just enjoy and don't mess with the door-people at the tents. If you go before 0600 pm you should be able to get into any of the tents (if it's not raining). Just don't leave it after 0800 as you might not be able to get in again. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

Check this: http://www.uspa.org/publications/SIM/2006SIM/AppendixB.htm when you read the mentioned sections (which is not the whole SIM) you are able to pass the test. It's probably even quicker than memorizing the right answer by using the original test sheet. in addition there is some reason behind. If you don't know what you are supposed to do or - as it appears to me - if you are not interested in it, why would you want a B or C licence??? To join groups where they are a prerequisite??? They are put there as a prerequisite to assure that peolple have a common understanding and level of knowledge. Those who haven't put these groups in risk. So go learn or skip the test! BTW - It took me 2 hours to prepare for my A-D tests which I passed in first attempts in one day -- so it can't be that difficult. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

Hi Pia, what's or better where's "here at work"? Because if you're already in Munich, getting into the tents isn't the problem. I gues none of these 38 is a DZ.commer? I "have" to attend at least two times due to "business meetings" M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

I have set up a discount on tandems for my co-workers at my home-DZ. I try to talk as many as possible into it (once they show interest) as you normally just get something between 2-10% of them really doing it. This might be related to me being in sales . However, I never touch my money to buy them any jumps. Personally I think, the more you get to at least show up at the DZ, the more new students might come out in the end. And if it is just one out of a thousand, this helps the sport. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

Should D license requirements be changed?
Merkur replied to Croc's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I would keep accuracy due to the following: If for eaxample an emergency situation requires you to exit over a covered area (be it a town or a forest) you might find a small place to land rather than a good swoop cicuit. All the requirements are aimed at the "normal/standard" skydive. Given this interpretation you are right that probably the night jump requirement should be skipped. After moving from Höxter to Eisenach Daedalus has become even better. The carpeted packing area is inside a huge circus tent. Showers are hot each time of the day. The cafe serves fresh food throughout the day. Enough space for cars, RVs and tents. The landing area is huge and there are numerous outs if you can't make it (which is kind of impossible). (the review of blueshrew mentioning the forest is for there former location at Höxter) The staff is professional and on the RW side you'll find world team sector captains and participants as organizers, instructors and coaches. The ratings other than 5 are based on the following: 4 for aircraft as they just have 1 Do and I need the five for muptiple plane DZs 4 for facilities as the DZ is build up with containers and I need a 5 for the ones loacetd in real buildings 4 for location due to German weather M.

From British Airways homepage: With immediate effect, the following arrangements apply to all passengers starting their journey at a UK airport and to those transferring between flights at a UK airport. All cabin baggage must be processed as hold baggage and carried in the hold of passenger aircraft departing UK airports. Passengers may take through the airport security search point, in a single (ideally transparent) plastic carrier bag, only the following items. Nothing may be carried in pockets:- * pocket size wallets and pocket size purses plus contents (for example money, credit cards, identity cards etc (not handbags)); * travel documents essential for the journey (for example passports and travel tickets); * prescription medicines and medical items sufficient and essential for the flight (eg diabetic kit), except in liquid form unless verified as authentic. * spectacles and sunglasses, without cases. * contact lens holders, without bottles of solution. * for those travelling with an infant: baby food, milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger) and sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight (nappies, wipes, creams and nappy disposal bags). * female sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight, if unboxed (eg tampons, pads, towels and wipes). * tissues (unboxed) and/or handkerchiefs * keys (but no electrical key fobs) Every other item must be carried in customer’s hold luggage. For clarity, passengers are advised that no electrical or battery powered items including laptops, mobile phones, ipods, remote controls etc can be carried in the cabin and must be checked in as hold baggage. All passengers must be hand searched, and their footwear and all the items they are carrying must be x-ray screened. Pushchairs and walking aids must be x-ray screened, and only airport-provided wheelchairs may pass through the screening point. In addition to the above, all passengers boarding flights to the USA and all the items they are carrying, including those acquired after the central screening point, must be subjected to secondary search at the boarding gate. Any liquids discovered must be removed from the passenger. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!

In the German news up to now they are just talking about "liquid explosives" - no mentioning of any particular kind. Nearly all flights from continental Europe to UK are cancelled for today. From London, only flights with a duration of over 3 hours are departing. No hand luggage allowed except for flight tickets, passports, glasses (without cover). even flight attendants and pilots have to follow this rule. The only liquids allowed on board is baby food if tested by parents in front of the security personal. M. vSCR No.94 Don't dream your life - live your dream!
