I dang near got thrown out of the plane (C-206) early at Salado one time, I had really rank farts, I talking stanky black clouds, it was my Bday and Iwas jumping in my Bday suit. Thought I was gonna leave grease stains ( BBQ chicken). Anyways the pilot was bitching about my state of undress before I even got in the plane and then my odor filled the plane, everytime it aired out and he closed the vent window and I'd gass'em again Very memorable jump!!!! Hey now! Don't forget Rich's place, Skydive Temple in Salado,TX. This is my home DZ away from home, great little Dz very very friendly Its on I-35 at Exit 282 Mile marker 282 just south of Salado. You can take a ride in Forrest Mcbrides hotrod C-182, 15,000 in with a full load in 20 minutes (this is a 182!) he has a 3 bladed prop with a souped up lycoming under the cowl...Zoom! Uh Dave? If I draw a triangle using Austin, San Antonio and Houston wouldn't College Station be outside of that triangle about 35/40 miles as the crow flys??? I smoked for about 13-14 years, started when I was around nine (9) years old. I'd try to quit now and then couple of weeks on up to six (6) months at one point, but I always started again. When I started skydiving I could notice the start of hypoxia at altitude and quit again, about three (3) months later I could really notice the difference, I could hang out at altitude with little effect.

RSG, I'll be blunt, In my opinion at 200 jumps you like myself have no business under a loaded elliptical. Semi elliptical? YES... Fully elliptical? NO... You first need to ask yourself, Can I land my current canopy uphill, downhill, crosswind, downwind, sink it into a tight area (accuracy), slow, fast and in all acceptable wind/weather conditions safely and consistently????
