You don't need 1000 jumps to realize an altimeter that can be mounted almost anywhere is a great idea You're right, I'm not qualified. I'm simply just passing advice I've gotten from different very experienced jumpers. There is a reason certain fliers use certain things. I wanted to know why, so I ask them. They give me understandable answers. I want to know why because I'm still in the market for an alti and would like one that would suit my needs which just so happens to be freeflying :] Seems like the preferred choice is Viso or Neptune on the wrist, and Optima in the bucket. The ability to put your alti anywhere on your arms or even legs facing any direction should be enough to confirm the fact that it's a great freefly option. :]

Mine was baggy as well :/ I liked it a lot it just didn't fit me. I ended up selling it for less then I had bought it for. My Tonysuit fits great though! I do wish they added a little extra baggage in the crouch area.... I think EG might not even do custom sizing. I think he just goes with a Small, Medium, or Large basis. So if you're a skinny guy, expect it to be baggy.

It's actually just what several freeflyers have told me. I've always been curious so I've always asked people why they don't use or use certain things. I noticed that it seemed like everyone had a Viso...so I asked around. Though, I think I should just say WRIST mount is great for freeflying. Think the Neptune has a wrist mount option as well. I know everyone says to keep a good ol' trusty analog, but so far I've seen 3 analogs fail and 0 digitals lol L&B makes one spanking good product :]

The ghost and S-bird are two totally different suits. I think as a tonysuit test pilot was telling me, the older suits were more prone to spin? and the more modern suits are much easier/safer to fly. I'm sure you could find a cheap Vampire 2/3 out there for a comparable price that you found the SM1 for. My buddy bought his V2 for $200.

Or instead of getting unstable and risking hitting someone around you, get an Audible or two and wrist mount! :D

I had an EG RW suit. The build quality was great! If you're looking for a cheap awesome suit I suggest EG or Freak'n Suits. Can't go wrong with either!

Good luck staying stable when trying to look at a chest mounted alti while in sit-fly or head-down. lol Viso II with wrist mount is the best for free-flying because you can wear it pretty much anywhere and face it any way you want. On the subject of Audible pockets... I like having two pockets because it means I can have an audible in one and a Flysight in the other.

I'd say save for a new suit! One with escape sleeves!

Someone at the everglades boogie had their goggles knock off in freefall. Lost in an endless field of sugar cane. Hopefully Recon has a recovery gps system lol

What canopy should I choose to fly next?

You could always strap lead to yourself for higher wing-load -
Oh look, Oakley has a version http://www.oakley.com/products/7094/27028

He jumps a large enough canopy that his landings are always soft. He has spent a ton of time under canopy with special private training. He knows how to fly it and he knows how to land it safely. There is nothing to worry about :P And broken wrists would be better then a broken face ;p Yup! You look like you're getting a perfect standing landing, and then "plop" lol
-
For those interested, when pookie pooks lands he just sort of falls straight forward onto his knees and then collapses face down but catches himself with his arms. I meant to film his landings but kept getting distracted and missed him.

Let them know the problem and they will fix it/add features with the next firmware upgrade!

To learn how to track? -
Think you forgot to hit "upload" after you attached the image.

No wonder why shipping took so long.

Because no one at the DZ knows who the heck you are...No one really knows your jump numbers. Sure, manifest might know your jump numbers...but manifest is in manifest and they can't keep an eye on everyone at the DZ because they are busy manifesting.

You can get away with a lot of stuff when you are a foreign skydiver.
