Your attempt at holding your negative faith is making you look rather ignorant. The video from the WWL is a side perspective that is almost ON level. The wingsuit pilots turn about 5-10 degrees before they start their flare. By the time they turn, they are still flying perpendicular to the camera. If you put a dot in the center of a circle, the outer ring never gets closer to the dot, even though its curved into a circle. I know my angles, and I know my perspectives. I am a woodworker, a realistic pencil artist, and a photographer.

Thank you. :P

You should post this in the General Discussions sub-forum as well. I'm sure non-wingsuiters might be interested too.

If you watched the finals last night, you would have seen Boole do it again. He was at the very bottom of the shot, which is parallel or even lower then the camera's perspective. He then flared and gained an unmistakable amount of altitude. The amount of degrees they are turning in are simply not enough to explain the sheer height this guy was perceived to be going. Not to mention the massive stall he experienced just afterwards that put him falling nearly straight down. Whether anyone wants to believe it or not, they were gaining altitude.

I've added this second video to my original post. You might be struck at what James Boole did in his Fusion ;p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKd-pnBSyb0 First part is of Tony Uragallo. Second is James Boole.

If you have been watching the WWL, you might have seen people actually gain altitude in their Apache just before deploying. I've never actually seen this done in a setting where you can actually see the gain. I've uploaded the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMkvPDd-8wE Here is a second video of Tony Uragallo(Apache Rebel) and James Boole(Apache Fusion). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKd-pnBSyb0 I think James won the climb! ;p

Well, you're not gonna hit any harder from 5,000' then 120,000'. Gotta love that terminal velocity!

Yea, I would have taken Felix's place in a heart beat lol. Gary deff has the bigger of the 4.

I'm sure there was a reason for it. Last I've checked when someone does that they flip over from the pilot pulling up. For some reason this guy's didn't...

Altitrack digital altimeter fails on the way up to altitude
Shredex replied to vanessalh's topic in Gear and Rigging
I jump with a bag of potato chips. I squeeze the bag to know what altitude I'm at. -
It almost looks like they pulled off the risers from the 3 ring system then slid the toggles up the risers then put it back on...rendering the toggles almost useless.

Idk, our pilot does a bang up job having that light on at the right time using the GPS system. I have yet to see any off landings.

I use a Cookie G2 and love it! The G3 is very similar. The helmet gives you a huge field of view. I can't even see my helmet when I'm wearing it. You do have to open the visor under canopy or it will fog up, though. Which is no big deal. I picked mine up for about $240 used. Here is a video of the G2 Helmet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q32FFSo3biA
