  1. I think it depends on the size of the hoodie. If its one that fits you then there shouldn't be any problems. ...but if you can fit your whole body inside the hood of the jacket...then I can see where things might get hairy. Moral of the story? Wear cloths that fit.
  2. "Separation of church and state" - Religion has no place in politics.
  3. You don't really need the visor up all the way. Here's my G2 with GoPro on top with visor open: (See Attached) You could use the GoPro Mount Curved Bottom which is listed just under what you linked. Note: It's not actually mounted there so no Idea what video looks like from that point. P.S. GoPro cutaway system is breaking it off lol. The plastic housing will break at the mounting point if you put 30+lbs of force onto it. ...or so I've heard.
  4. I remember my first solo jump. Nervous as all hell. Then I looked over...found my distraction
  5. We're all gonna die from alcohol poisoning lol
  6. This really does upset me. I just don't understand why America is just so afraid of anything that's not Democrap or Repubican. America wanted change, so they vote for Obama...That's not change...that's insanity!(Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.) It's time's like this that I wish I was a billionaire just so I could throw a huge campaign for Gary Johnson so he is actually heard by the people.
  7. "...with special training." encase you missed that part. Every one of those is arguable. Was a joke... And I'm a firm believer of Evolution so for me it's anything but bashing ;p
  8. Not sure about the video to impress thing. I only want to shoot video so I may watch it later. You spend so much time preparing for this tiny 1 minute flight. I'd wanna get everything out of it as I could. That includes a video to rehash on. Watching yourself in freefall, it's easy to imagine yourself back up there doing that jump. It's like a supplement for the addiction when you're not/can't jump atm.
  9. You guys make it sound like his GoPro is a nuclear bomb that is going to explode in the air... All the incidents I've read about small format camera could have been avoided by just not being retarded. If there was an actual training program then there would be less. I still don't understand the 200 recommendation...I think it should be B-license with special training. The reason these incidents happen is because most of these people simply don't know. How about we let them know instead of just waiting for something to happen and then bashing the hell out of each other?
  10. This thread could use more pics ;p
  11. This may sound odd or whatnot...But if there is some clouds out, It's probably better to pull high enough that you are under canopy while still at the cloud level. I only say this because I remember my first jump in AFF I had to pull high due to DZ visibility. It was a good thing because that was the huge selling point for me. Being up there flying with the clouds...the calmness...the view...it was all just soo amazing and beautiful. I feel like if we could do this with some tandems, then that would encourage them to wanna jump more and potentially start their AFF and become a real skydiver! idk...
  12. When mine happened... I pulled at 5K cause I was doing a tracking jump and was a good ways out. I noticed that my ears felt full of pressure, so I grabbed my nose and blew... Man, I had no idea that ears themselves could make sounds...Mine sounded like a 120psi compressor releasing air. Ears hurt really bad for a few seconds but went away. Could hear fine. Didn't notice anything else except for random slight pinching pain in the right ear this past week. Gonna skip this weekend. Been taking ear drop antibiotics, I'll do a couple hop-n-pops next week and hopefully I'll be ready by then.
  13. I like it. It's organized. And I can stalk my favorite hotties! (If they sign up) And no, it's not called facebook.
  14. I'm a wood worker and there is always tons of saw dust floating around the shop that will clog up my nose. I'd never jump with a cold....I'm a little more considerate then that. When my nose started running out of nowhere, I mean I was feeling 100% great on the second jump of the day and it literally just started running as soon as the door opened up. Actually, now that I think of it...After coming from from the DZ a few weeks ago I had a runny nose that lasted for a week after getting back...And the same thing happened last time as well. So I wonder if jumping is causing it?
  15. So, I found out on my last jump that jumping with a runny nose is a huge no no. But, I got to wondering...Can you just pop your ears during freefall to prevent the giant explosion of pain? Like, I dry swallow during the ride up to equalize my ears, could this be done during freefall? I ask because my nose didn't start running till we were at altitude and the door opened ready for exit...my left nostril just starting running out of no where... If this happens again I don't want to have to ride the plane down...(I've never landed in a plane before and don't ever want to have too.)
  16. I've seen things around saying that people can actually gain altitude. I know physically it's possible...but has anyone really been able to accomplished it?
  17. Found this one and he says in the discription: "My average fallrate for the jump was about 75mph." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKep-4xNdU0 Quite a drop in speed. He had 90 seconds of freefall, but not sure what Alti he pulled at.
  18. I got it on my Cat A. I didn't understand why till under canopy...clouds....lots and lots of clouds...
  19. I almost feel like the tunnel is a harder place to learn for a new jumper. In a skydive, you have pretty much the whole sky and it doesn't really matter if your body positioning is perfect. Where as in tunnel...you're fighting to keep yourself centered and you're having to do a lot more. I noticed from talking to people that fail AFF, it's always level 4 they seem to have to do over...So I would almost suggest do the first 3 levels, THEN do a tunnel, then go back to AFF. I never had to redo any of the levels and I have never seen a tunnel. Just remember to ARCH! and relax and stay focused :P
  20. I was just looking at that today posted in another thread. May I ask your height/weight? I'm around 103 V-speed in my track. Working on it.
  21. Jeff, Greg, Sally, ect. I have countless helpful people on the DZ for questions, which I get all of them answered. And is also why I stopped asking so many on here. This is just one of those that I forgot to ask while there...and doubt any of them would remember what their numbers are. So figured I'd ask here!
