  1. THANK YOU BOTH FOR BEING OUTSTANDING HUMANS. Carry on.
  2. Planning on flying dresses??? Stick with your Spectre, it will serve you well. And if you're doing it right, the "long Spot" goes away. IMO at this stage in the game you should be looking at "nicer" manufactures...
  3. Sorry to disappoint you, but... I HAVE thought about it, because it was one of the very few points that climate change deniers made, that actually made sense to me. Turns out, their impact is close to nothing. "There is no doubt that volcanic eruptions add CO2 to the atmosphere, but compared to the quantity produced by human activities, their impact is virtually trivial: volcanic eruptions produce about 110 million tons of CO2 each year, whereas human activities contribute almost 10,000 times that quantity. " https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-do-volcanoes-affect-w/ Try again. As with all debates I take it all with a grain of salt. How long have "we" been keeping reliable/tangible/quantifiable scientific data? Yea yea yea, you can compare ice core samples and compare that to current trends and actual samples from today but in the end its all based on what? What "we" believe is proof based on numbers gathered and crunched from other humans. It's said that "numbers don't lie", but humans, well we are driven by different influences and the number one is, drum roll=The all mighty dollar. So I guess what I'm saying is, go google all the "fact's" and believe what you want to believe!
  4. NOT one of you has thought/factored in the one big thing that no one has any control over: The planet itself. Volcano's. Yeah, about that.
  5. So far 1 cutaway in 4200 wingsuit jumps, watch me pack in 3 minutes We all wait for the vid sir. No seriously.
  6. Look at the REAL reason for having said device. If your unconscious and falling to Earth(even in a WS) your device should fire, PERIOD. If your "flying your WS" that slow maybe you need a little two out to spice things up!
  7. The real question is: How long before he gets impeached???
  8. Depends on the rig. Some are sewn to the d-bag. As I outlined above, putting an untested aftermarket part is likely to be increasing the chances of a malfunction. I showed my design to chief riggers and designers at 2 of the largest manufacturers. After discussing all the fine details about how their PC works within a system I realized that the design is not appropriate for the general skydiver. A PDA type PC is not a new idea at all. If pulling the pin and extracting the d-bag at the highest speed possible were the objective we'd all be rocking 48" pilot chutes! The amount of drag generated by your factory unit was carefully selected and tested. It works. Just make sure what you have is maintained in good condition - that's the key to increasing safety. -Michael So this might actually cause more issues on my old gear? DUDE, are you a wingsuiter primarily??? Then get one. Don't over think it. And yes as someone pointed out, it has a slightly larger volume that MAY cause ware. I like mine. However as someone recently pointed out to me, it has sharp edges, so keep an eye on ware there...
  9. I was fortunate to meet and speak to a VERY experienced WS pilot last week whilst making a few jumps at Z-hills. Some things to ponder on OUR goals for happy WS opening: Let's start from the ground up. The pack job. How are you stowing the lines? elastics and bag type? I have no experience with stowless/semi stowless but clearly this is in my opinion the way to go. Dynamic corners on the container? Bridle length and PC size...? While we are "still on the ground", what size WS are we jumping? The other greatest influence on opening is obviously speed/body position come pitch time. I personally am still working on this. In the past I've simply flown flat and slowed down while trying to maintain heading and keep head and shoulder up right. This however opens up the burble issue. Air moving over the top side is crucial for getting and keeping the PC where it belongs. How do we negate this? Simple, building that speed up prior to pulling and giving a nice flare, hopefully your body position is head and upper body up right and let it fly. So what have I missed? PLEASE lets keep this going and get our learn on! For the record I started WSing with a 190 sabre 1, put about 50 jumps on it and scored a new new Storm 170. I also have a new Sky Snatch. That being said I STILL suffer from line twists from time to time. For me I believe my issue is the pack job and double line stowing every bite... Which of course I'll be fixing...
  10. Soooo, what are we taking away from all of this??? When you start deploying parachutes other than "belly to Earth" you start throwing variables into the mix. I was another guy who knew flying WS was for me, so I scored a PF PTS and jumped the fuck out of it. Never had a bad deployment or line twists. with over 60+ jumps. Enter the WS. EVERYTHING gets more complicated. Pull time for my first couple dozen jumps was not a good time! Fast openings and line twists can kill your buzz man! I've got the fancy Skysnatch, I've got my container with dynamic corners(recently after my first chop, yup, fuck me line twists!), I fly a Storm with a 1:1 WL, I pull strong and try my best to keep good body position thru deployment. And yet I still get the dreaded ugly opening from time to time. So I annalise my jumps and try to figure out why... Take/keep notes and keep asking questions :) Bare in mind we are discussing TRACKING, so just arch and go "box man" prior to pulling.
  11. The REAL question is why are you researching the "psycho" pack job? Having trouble getting it into the bag nicely with traditional S folds?
  12. my experience is dont waste your money. focus on a clean pack job and good body position and speed on deployment. Happy flying. oh and a good pull!
  13. Thats not matching the actual timeline The V3 came out in 2004 GS1 came out in 2006, Sugar Glider 2004 Tonysuits started making/selling suits in 2006 ws history The history lesson has a few holes in it... 1969-70 saw some prototype WS being flown... But I digress.
  14. When you learn how to fly it, we ALL will be eager to see the video from said exit point Now back on subject...

    Swift 2

Did four jumps in my Funk1 with my buddies NEW Swift2. HE KILLED IT, and out flew me on almost everyjump. He was flying maxed out as well.
  16. alright alright, four jumps later and yes, it certainly is a different kind of animal! very tame at pull time
  17. +1 Let me guess, Trump's not your president either! STFU
  18. Soooo, I just scored my new suit. Pull time pointers??? Any other advice other than skydive the fuck out of it??? I've got a few(60+) on a PTS but obviously this is a completely different animal. Thanks!
  19. Guns and locks. Yes there are many schools of thought on this topic. LOVE the booger hook/bag button comment! I choose to carry a P2000 (think Glock only BETTER). I say this because this model has no safety. I also carry un-charged, so I know and train to rack it on the way to target. If you ever need to use a firearm(slim chance) the last thing you want is to have it locked!!! Think about it... Accountability is simple, when its not on your hip, its unloaded.
  20. PFH about my NEW Squirrel jacket. about 1.5 months from order to delivery. HOWEVER I do feel the need to blast you mother fuckers about offering ORANGE as an option just weeks after me taking delivery of said suit. Guess Its time to create my next suit! Cunts, PS I love you.
  21. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/b9/92/5d/b9925de58858350e54155e06299f0b2e.jpg I have no issues but then again this aint your run of the mill grocery getter ;)
  22. OK, GREAT topic, however, some how to pics and or how to properly wear said seatbelt would be super helpful... I say that because how many people actually route the belt thru the harness? What about us wingsuiters??? Some configurations aren't very friendly... in regards to people worrying about fire, I've got two words that we should all be carrying: HOOK KNIFE :)
  23. I'm glad someone finally had something meaningful to add!!! SO in summary what have we all learned from this thread??? WSing is the new IT, we are here to stay and gear is being made with our discipline in mind... MANY factors influence the opening of WS jumps to include: canopy type/size/material... WS size/flight style/body position/speed during deployment, other gear factors: mods like bridle length/PC size blah blah blah. I enjoy coming here to learn but also to share what I've learned through my own experiences. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soAirkFeyFU So what happened to cause toggle fire? I'm guessing body body position during pull ... Notice that its there and its square and I know whats going on... Storm 170 I've also learned to quickly "manage" my openings via the risers while the canopy is in final line stretch and fully inflating... See you in the flock
