  1. Agreed, why does it have to be a box? I'd also add ALL management speak and use of overtly military language by fat boring middle aged business men and women to make their dull inconsequential jobs sound exciting. ALSO.. The use of the word 'family' by corporations who will fire their 'family' members as soon as they get a crap quarter result. 2. i agree 'at the end of the day' is a meaningless nonsense usually said by people without much original thought. Also on the irritating list is 'what you see is what you get' often used as a justification for obnoxious behaviour. But most of all the misuse of the word 'bunch' is the most annoying trait of people speaking English. it reduces a beautiful and rich language to lowest level of comprehension. Grapes come in a bunch, keys are correctly described as a bunch. People do not, neither are cattle (herd), dolphins (pod), crows (murder), lions (pride), runners (field) and so on. Lest We Forget

I knew a simple soldier boy Who grinned at life in empty joy, Slept soundly through the lonesome dark, And whistled early with the lark. In winter trenches, cowed and glum, With crumps and lice and lack of rum, He put a bullet through his brain. No one spoke of him again. You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye Who cheer when soldier lads march by, Sneak home and pray you'll never know The hell where youth and laughter go. 12. Don't forget deaths resulting from iatrogenic causes in US hospitals and clinics, 100,000 people are killed and over 2 million people maimed and disabled every year at the hands of clinicians throughout the USA. Maybe hospitals and clinics should be banned too. After all iatrogenic deaths are the third biggest killer in the USA. of course precise figures vary... 13. Thats what everyone was thinking before he was elected (myself included) it didn't happen, I doubt it will this time around or is there an increased likelihood? If so on what grounds do you base your fear? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  14. REALLY??? From the man who brought you the disaster following Katrina.. http://tinyurl.com/8ge7b7e I think this highlights just how ridiculous US political life has become. 17. Genuine third party, albeit a very small one. They, along with the Greens, Constitional, and even the Commmunist parties usually manage to put a couple candidates on the ballot each election. 19. Looks interesting but i've never heard of the Libertarian party before is this an actual party or an independent candidate? America is in desperate need of a third party. 23. There are a lot of things we don't 'need' in life, can you imagine what a bland and boring world it would be if you were only allowed to own that which you needed to own? When it comes to guns used to commit mass murder, I think we can manage without 'em. There are plenty of other guns you can have to satisfy your gun fever. So that's not really denying you some luxury which gives your life enjoyment. Your arguments are as full of holes as Swiss cheese, to answer your own question with your own words.. So just which firearms wouldn't you ban and still leave for people to use which couldn't be used to commit 'mass murder'? So that's not really denying you some luxury which gives your life enjoyment. You demonstrate a lack of knowledge on the subject, lets take the Beltway sniper attacks, the weapon used was a Bushmaster XM-15 semiautomatic .223 caliber rifle but if the criminal had had a bolt action hunting rifle he could have still committed the mass murder with no problem.
