Just goes to show that when in an unfamiliar situation people will do the most stupid of things if they think you know what you're talking about. "Put your foot on the mine!" Dickhead did it When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I laughed hard but afterwards I thought about what I was laughing at and felt very uncomfortable. Itd really worring that those people still hold those views in America a land where everyone has no excuse for being uneducated. Laughed my arse of when he sung the 'National anthem' especialy when the person on the horse fell off. Bloody fantastic. How you Doin? Actually I didn't have a go at GQ, I know he didn't make up the name of the drink. To tell you the truth I didn't know there was a drink called a car bomb, so sticking Guiness in it and calling it an Irish Car Bomb make more sense but its still an ofensive name. Even more so because it came out of the US (along with 18.5 Million pounds a year directly into the coffers of the IRA who used it to blow women and children to pieces) Unfortunatly there is still some people in the US who view the troubles through rose tinted spectacles (I'm not directing this at anyone here) they see this romanticised version of whats going on in Ireland without really having a clue. Imagine how pissed you'd feel if people in the UK were giving 18.5 Million pounds (X1.5 for dollars) directly to the Iraqi insurgency every year for them to buy explosives and ammo to kill your troops. Then someone (seemingly) names a drink in honour of those killings. Thats why its offensive. On top of which the Iraqis aren't blowing women and children on the streets of America (Yet). Anyway alls well that ends well. I hope we didn't really spoill GQ's down time and I appologise if we did. Now, about that spanking thing... Mi5 is currently working on retarding 30 terrorist planned actions in this country. In a nation of 65Million with no effective borders, and a war on terror that has in its latest incarnation been around for 37 years and now due to our actions supporting the US we are a high value target I ask again, is it really such a bad thing? What is this all about? We don't have Vets day in the UK. Is it for the dead as an act of rememberance or for the living service personnel? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

I got mine at the weekend, damn funny it was as well. These two freezing looking Army cadets walking along a dark road when all of a sudden a car swerves to the cub the door is thrown open and a 6"4 Arab complexion bloke jumps out running towards them yelling "hey you" Poor buggers were whiter than one of those dodgy poppys. I bought a RED Poppy off them... Sorted, (Did they look relieved) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. I've thought about this and although I personaly would not wear a white poppy, I belive that its the act of rememberance thats most important. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -
