  1. You make the best? , the MOD isn't buying based on what is best but on what is most cost effective. Its assumed that the UK forces will not go into action again without being part of a combined US UK effort, therefore it makes sense to buy US so that when our piss poor logistics fails due to wankers sitting in the MOD we can get resupplied via the US logistical supply. 2. The TB rate is largely due to the influx of illegal and legal immigrants from Sub Saharan Africa and South Asian countries. Its not a major problem right across the UK but confined to certain inner city areas, in particular the poorer London boroughs. I know as I worked for several years in a TB clinic in London. As for standard of life all recent research that I've seen shows Australia and Canada are above most Scandinavian countries. 7. You don't know how good you've got it John, $8 a Gallon? That would be a REDUCTION in price in the UK, currently its $9.72 a gallon. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2011/mar/09/petrol-prices-record-breaking-6-per-gallon A pack of 20 Super King B&H cigarettes costs $10.51 ($9.57 for regular length cigs) http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp?bmUID=1299707481452 You've got it all to look forward to. 9. Citizens should have the freedom of choice to smoke if they wish, and not at artificially inflated prices. If you support this, what are you going to do when someone uses the same idea for alcohol? For personal consumption of gasoline? And for skydiving? Alcohol? Destroys lives and society, fine by me, raise away! Gasoline (Petrol) is already raised to those levels, Skydiving doesn't harm society so no worries. 12. So the UK Government has banned the display of Tobacco in any form in shops, it will still be available but people will have to ask for it. They will also be attempting to make cigarette manufacturers use only plain white packaging, personally I love the idea. I'd also like to see tobacco made so expensive that no one will purchase it. 24. They're difficult for law abiding folks to obtain. For those in the business of smuggling and selling banned substances and items, it's not really all that difficult. Just ask the bobbies who've been shot. Or you could ask Simeon Henderson. I'd say you should ask Nasar Hussain, but unless you know a good medium or necromancer, that might be a bit difficult. Of course, the Brits are pros at making stats say anything they want. So, according to official reports, gun crime is going up or down, the number of illegal guns on the street is going up or down, and the number of people shot or killed is going up or down. Definitive, no? Its easy to buy rocket motors here in the UK just go into a model shop point put down the money pick up the items and walk out, no questions asked.
