Just watched a video of the two charged American soldiers. One clearly says 'I was only following orders' he claims the entire unit was committing murder and then making it look like justified killing. This is a fantastic coup for the Taliban recruitment. No doubt that the actions of these two men (and possibly their unit) will directly lead to the deaths of other US & UK soldiers. If found guilty these men should get the DP. French Murder Innocent Civilians to Protect Oil

There is already a new Libyan gov't, and France has recognized it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12699183 I agree that it sounds like the French have rushed into things by recognising this group, after all who are they? Whatever these objectives are will proove to be unattainable without 'boots on the ground'. This appears to be just another attempt at regime change, which shows all the signs of back firing yet again. I'd be glad to see the back of Ghadafi but not at any cost. My biggest concern is that its easy to get involved but difficult to extricate from a civil war. Also that there is no government structure really that can be used in Libya, its very much tribal; so if Ghadafi is gone who will he be replaced with? What happens if the 'rebels' splinter in the power vacuum that his leaving office will create? Who do we support then? Its always easy to say we've learnt from the mistakes of the past and will stop before we make them again but experience shows that we repeat them time and time again. And of course, please let us not forget that whatever happens, the USA will be to blame. The fucking Arab league should have sent their own fucking aircraft to bomb fucking Libya. Oh wait, they're all fucking useless...never mind. mh . You're like the fat kid that whines about being fat while stuffing another burger in his gob, to use an Americanism 'love it or leave it dude' When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. if done well it will secure oil interests and wider business interests. I doubt that will happen in the short term though. I just don't see a plan for what next. Boots on the ground are required and we'd be mad to go there again. Time will tell. Why should the USA be dragged into yet another war which would result in the shedding of blood of its youth? Its hardly Obama's fault that the EU has no balls and that the UK Gov has emasculated our armed forces to a point that we can't put our power where our mouth is. Quite frankly Obama seems t be doing the right thing in Libya and thats watching out for the interests of the county that he runs rather than try to play at being emperor of the world. As for the Libyan revolt who are these would be revolutionaries? Could Ghadafi be right that in fact they are being used by Islamist terror groups? Who would take over in the power vacuum that the crazy one leaving would produce? Rocking the status quo in Libya and endangering the export of oil for the sake of a popular revolution may not be the most sensible of ideas. Christian bikers shield soldiers funeral from protesters.

Maybe if your audience is a bunch of gullible atheists that constantly look for reasons to hate christians... You could say the same of some people around here who try and tar all Muslims with the Al Q brush. WBC are to Christianity what Al Q are to Islam. Nothing 'Heroic' about the video. Its a good thing that the Patriot Guard are doing, civic yes but hardly heroic. Its appalling that the WBC (or anyone) are still legally allowed to picket funerals. Not a good idea. If someone has been drinking they may be under the limit when they get in the car but a few minutes later they might be over the limit by a long way depending on several factors. This could give people who are drunk the impression that they're safe to drive. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Overpopulation. You might have said that tongue in cheek, I don't know but you raise an interesting point. In the UK especially where we have a welfare state it is an unpalatable truth that increasing longevity is a costly business and one which we have no idea how we can pay for. Pensionable age is being increased and people in the UK will in the future be expected to work until 70. With fewer children being born the elderly will be the largest demographic if the trend continues, so who will pay for the societal burden that their old age will bring? http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?id=949 When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy.
