Yeah, it was really funny. The thing about CYE is I'm glad it's only a half-hour. After the show is over, I really can't take any more of Larry David. He's such a frigging asshole! It's funny how he does a better Jerry Seinfeld than did Jerry, isn't it? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

I'm going to graduate school for a Ph.D. in music theory. I am under no illusions about the demand for someone in such a profession, but I love music, and I love studying music. If I'm going to make significantly less than a business major, well, I suppose that's economics. But I think overall I will be more satisfied with my life making less money doing something that I truly love. Of course, I imagine a lot of the full-time skydivers here would have a similar opinion--you won't get rich jumping tandems or AFFs, but doesn't it beat working in a cubicle? I just spoke with the chair of the program at Harvard and he told me that I made the short list of three or four applicants (not sure why he doesn't know whether there are three or four applicants). He said by next week he will have conferred with the other faculty member and produced a ranking. There are two openings in the program, and told me that by next week he could tell me whether I was a sure thing (pending, of course, the graduate school's approval) or a maybe. Fingers crossed! Oooh...here's an opportunity to give a clue about my sig line. According to the same source as my sig line, Albert Einstein has had someone touch his butthole, along with Isaac Newton and Abraham Lincoln. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Well, I think only the pineapple touched his butthole there, plus, Harvey Keitel was wearing gloves, I believe. Great movie, by the way, thanks for bringing it up! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

I had that happen to a cell phone of mine years ago. I gave it away... (It still worked great!). ltdiver Happened to me too. It still worked, but I had a hard time using it I bet if we were to start a thread of what people had experienced falling in the toilet we'd get quite a hilarious thread going! For me, it's been my cell phone....then a toothbrush (and -no-, I did NOT give that away....). ltdiver Well, IIRC, Vallerina dropped her security badge in the toilet last summer. Cell phones REALLY do not take well to water, unfortunately. I see people come in the store every day who have either had their phones stolen or damaged (cars driven over them, falling in toilets are my personal favorites). In almost anything I think insurance is a waste of money, but I think in terms of a cell phone (especially on a two-year contract) it's worthwhile having. Oh, just a small note that the sales reps probably don't want you to know (because they don't get commisions for this): with Verizon on a two-year contract, you can usually upgrade your phone after one year, provided you switch to a price-plan of 49.99 a month or higher and sign a new two-year agreement. This WILL bump back your eligibility for a $100 credit for another 22 months, but it beats paying full retail. Oh, and you can lower your pricing plan back down to 34.99 or 39.99 at any time, if you want to. In other words, feel free to cancel your insurance after your first year is up.

You better finish AFF! I want to jump with you, and I might be moving back to Michigan in the fall, so this year might be my only chance. SO GET BACK IN THE SKY, DAMMIT!!

Has anybody ever seen this? It was a late night sketch comedy show on HBO from 1995-1998 starring Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. I just bought the DVD of the first and second seasons-some seriously funny shit. These guys are absolutely brilliant! A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

DOH! Problem solved. Strange: when I first upgraded the computer, the sound was fine. I assumed it was only the WAV files that were not processing correctly because I had watched a few movies with no sound issues. So I tried watching them again...no sound. So I went to the back of the computer and switched my speaker jacks. That fixed it. I wonder why that happened? A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All

Sooo...I just upgraded my computer to windows 2000 and all seems to be fine except for one thing: I am getting no sound from WAV files, but I am getting sound from windows media files. I use a C-Media PCI device. I've tried updating the drivers for the device (and Microsoft lists it as 2000 compatible). Any idea as to why this might be happening? Hmm...the Boston number doesn't seem to be doing anything. I called it, and a computer just repeated the phone number back to me and nothing happened after that. A One that Isn't Cold is Scarcely a One at All -
