One Way to Quit Your Job (JetBlue Flight Attendant)
Shotgun replied to Shotgun's topic in The Bonfire
Oh, that's just part of JetBlue's normal emergency exit procedures. (pic attached) -
Somebody get Billy a lightsaber!
-
Yep, quite simple. That's why I go around flogging people all the time.
-
True. I think she may be the only artist who has ever succeeded at turning me on with homoerotica. Louis and Lestat can flirt with each other while sucking my blood anytime. (Actually, I haven't read or seen any of the Twilight stuff, so I don't really know what those vampires are like. Well, except that they appear to be young enough to be my children.)

Clean and sober.

I just can't take you seriously after that pic in the other thread. -
Happy Double Birthday!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20100809/od_yblog_upshot/jetblue-attendent-slides-down-emergency-chute-after-fight-with-passenger I was on a flight recently where someone got up during take-off, and one of the friendly flight attendants told him off pretty good (and rightfully so). -
Asking? They now have no choice. All they did is let Government intrude into more peoples lives. Sorry, I guess I'm not following you. In what way will the government now intrude into more people's lives?
-
More? How so? It won't change anything in a heterosexual's life, and it won't change anything in a homosexual's life unless that person chooses to get legally married (thereby asking the government to intrude). You know, I find it interesting (and perhaps telling?) that this is not the route that the Prop 8 supporters (and other such) have taken. If the goal is truly to preserve the sanctity of marriage, then getting the government out of it seems to be the way to go. Well, unless tax breaks and such are sacred parts of "traditional marriage."

I've had that in my Netflix queue for a while. I keep looking at it, but I end up watching something else. I'll try to check it out. Thanks...
-
Cause you're not God dip shit. Calling people "dip shit" because they disagree with you? I see this "God" thing is really working out for you.
-
OH, sorry, I missed that you were talking specifically about the arguments in here. I was thinking of the actual arguments going on in the courts and such.
-
I think most of the arguments that I have heard pull from #2. What makes you say that they all pull from #1? The government has made "marriage" a legal term that carries certain rights, responsibilities, and benefits. All of the arguments I have heard seem to relate to same-sex couples wanting the same access to this legal marriage that opposite-sex couples have. I haven't heard anyone arguing about whether they should be able to commit to each other for life or not.

My queue recommends I add at least six more movies. I have four queued. Three-of-which are not out yet, but coming soon. Most of the things in my DVD queue are things that I'll probably never watch unless they become available on instant watch. But by having them in there, I'll know if/when they become available on instant watch.

I'm crying on the inside... I only watched Rock of Love for the slutty rock chicks playing football in mud. And I may have been under the influence of something or other when I requested Hot Tub Time Machine. And I probably should have been under the influence while watching it, but I watched it sober, and it was.... a little bit entertaining. It did have lots of Motley Crue music in it, and, well.... what else can you say about that? And I'm not sure why I started this thread, since now I have more movies to add to the 400+ movies that are already in my queue.
-
The Notebook. This was a good one. I read the description and thought, "No way; none of this 'true love' crap." I'm too cynical to cry over that. But then I watched the trailer, and the scenery makes it look worth watching. Plus Ryan Gosling is cute.
-
I'm sure Keely has never seen it... Nor "The Secretary".... lol (which is a better movie IMO) I can't believe you would imply that I would watch such filth. And yeah, I liked "The Secretary" better.
-
The Apartment I think that's close to the top of my queue right now, since you had suggested it before. But it's not quite time to make Rich watch another old B&W movie with me. Hmm, he probably won't be real thrilled about Crazy Heart either.... but at least it does have The Dude in it.

I love Netflix too much to care. Except that they have turned me into more of a couch potato than I used to be. We got rid of the expensive cable/TV that we hardly ever watched and replaced it with the cheap Netflix, and now I watch stuff all the time. Except now I watch much more mature stuff, rather than Rock of Love, which is about the only thing I ever watched on cable. Oh shoot, I forgot to send Hot Tub Time Machine back.

Funny, that's the one I had put at the top of my queue right before starting this thread. So I think I'll go ahead and get it next since you say so.

Watch: What a Legal Pot Economy Would Look Like
Shotgun replied to dreamdancer's topic in Speakers Corner
only if there is demand. Otherwise, the price plummets, and the incentive to kill each other to sell it goes with it. I was thinking along the lines of some of the other drugs being less readily available at the moment, and therefore some people not using them for that reason. If they suddenly became more available (due to more coming across the borders), perhaps a lot more people would use them. But I really have no idea... Oh, and I didn't mean to imply anything about pot being a gateway drug. Though I do think that the illegality of it (not the drug itself) tends to make it a gateway drug, for the reason you mentioned (pot dealers possibly having other drugs). Plus, I think that once people try pot, especially if they have been drunk on alcohol before, they realize that the legal status of drugs has nothing to do with the actual safety of the drugs and therefore might be more inclined to try other illegal drugs. -
I'm in the mood for drama. Something that will make me cry. Or maybe an erotic thriller.

I have wondered about this, and I'm not sure if this would be the case. Maybe so, but... It could just be that we'll see a huge increase in other (harder?) drugs coming across the border, with the violence continuing.
