  1. Sorry to hear about that, Jason. Hopefully things will turn around, but if not then maybe that means there are bigger and better things in store for you. Good Luck

  3. Just thought I'd bump this thread because I am interested in the same question (Any Unitarian Universalists out there?)... I am particularly interested in talking to anyone who attends a UU church in the Southern California area (I see Rob mentioned the one in Riverside, but is no longer in this area), but I would be interested in chatting with UU's in any other location as well. Feel free to PM me...
  4. Chronicle 3 is my favorite.
  5. Oh, I wish I could have been around to see that one! That's one of my favorite albums, and I bet they put on an awesome show of it! My favorite concert was probably Nine Inch Nails on the Downward Spiral tour in Austin (that album reminds me of The Wall in some ways). The Who also put on a really good show, though I only saw them after they were older - bet they were REALLY fun to watch back in the day...
  6. July 23, 2030 at the age of 59 years old. Cancer (39%) Horrible Accident (12%) Alcoholism (10%) Alien Abduction (7%) Homicide (6%) Suicide (5%) Well at least homicide is more likely than suicide... but the thought of dying from cancer really sucks ass. Alien abduction might be cool though...
  7. Hey Chris, Glad to hear you're feeling better! And thanks for the positive words.
  8. That site seems fishy because they don't allow you to read any sort of "User Agreement/Terms of Service" before giving them your name and email address...
  9. Right, I guess that's a good reason to have both of them (or more).
  10. So I downloaded Mozilla this morning after reading your reply, and so far I like it (first version I've had since before Mozilla became Netscape ;-) It does seem to be a bit faster than IE or Opera, and of course way faster than Netscape 7! The only thing that bugs me so far is that when a link is supposed to automatically open in a new window, it does open a new window rather than a new "tab" (Opera always opens it as a tab, which I really like). So the combination of open tabs and open windows seems a bit inconsistent and confusing (maybe there is some setting I have not yet found to change that?), but other than that it seems pretty cool :-) I don't really find IE to be slow and cumbersome though (IMHO)...
  11. I am wondering if they have the song "Long Way Down (Look What the Cat Drug In)" either by Michael Penn or Pepper McGowan. I want to buy that song, but I am too lazy to download iTunes just to search for it. (Or is there any way to search for a song without downloading the program?) I'm already using Napster, but they don't have that song... Thanks!
  12. I've been using IE 6.0 for a while now and I don't have any problems with it. (Well I have one weird bug, but I think it's related to the Yahoo toolbar I'm using with it.) Have you checked to make sure you have the minimum system requirements to run it? And have you rebooted your computer since it was installed? (Sorry if those are stupid questions. )
  13. I bought the Trilogy... 2 and 3 are hilarious. That's good to know. I haven't seen them, but I've been thinking of ordering them. They both got such bad reviews, but then so did the first one and it's one of my favorite movies of all time. So screw the critics, I'm gonna order them anyway.
  14. Way to go, Eric! Congratulations on getting home in time for the holidays! Very glad to see you're doing so well.
  15. I like your sig line, narcimund. Now if only I was a man, so that you would cook for me.
  16. You can use Yahoo's advanced search as well: http://search.yahoo.com/web/advanced Same thing as google - tell it to search a particular domain only (note that you leave out the "http://www").
  17. Well Rich and I will probably be having Thanksgiving dinner at the Bombshelter (assuming they're having one this year!??). That's the closest I can get out here to my mom's home cooking (and I sure as hell don't want to eat MY home cooking! ) They've had a really good dinner the last two Thanksgivings that I've been here... so you could come join the other homeless skydivers at Perris.
  18. Yuck! http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20031125/ap_on_bi_ge/turkey_soda_5
  19. Hmm, I wonder if Ivan has seen the Star Wars Toy???
  20. I haven't seen them before... Very funny!
  21. Hell, there was Xmas stuff out here even a couple of weeks BEFORE Halloween!
  22. I agree! Lots of good people...
