  1. You mean you didn't think so before? That's it. I'm going to quit stalking you now. As a matter of fact I do. But mostly police uniforms.
  2. Only if he has a sex change operation, because I will only vote for women. And didn't you see the sticky post at the top of this forum?
  3. Oh, well now that I see your avatar, I see what he was talking about.
  4. I always hate it when people bump this thread but don't add any new naked pictures. Not that I mind looking at the old ones... Of course, it always reminds me to be thankful for the fact that I have never decided it was a good idea (while drunk) to post naked pictures of myself on this site. (Oh, well except for that one that I PM'd to Dom that time, and he decided to post... )
  5. Wonderfully appropriate intentional misspelling. I like to call it a "rim job" when Rimster bans people.
  6. Perhaps... If so, he's done a good job of starting 11 pages of it.
  7. He's just lying to you again to make you feel better. Poor Rimster...
  8. OK so now I have another bitch. He doesn't PM me anymore either! WTF? Trust me, you don't want any of his PM's! I thought I was weird, but that dude is a freakin' SICKO!
  9. I would post the contents of some of his PM's in here, but I can't find anything that wouldn't break the forum rules, and I don't want to get in trouble.
  10. c'mon... do we really need to get vulgar here? No, we don't need to get vulgar. And I just did an image search on gay sex and that was definitely not the most common position anyway. Of course, I'm still trying to figure out what the hell his comment had to do with this thread.
  11. Oh, I still have a copy of your original "goggle" photo.
  12. I disagree, there was a post in the Women's forum on it. I won't provide a link because I don't want us SC weirdos over their disturbing the atmosphere. Let's just say that there were some strong indications that many would vote based on gender alone. If you're referring to the number of females who would vote for a woman based on gender alone, then I'm willing to bet that those votes would be countered by the number of men who would still vote for the male candidate based on gender alone (assuming it was a male and a female running in the two main parties)... But I wasn't really referring to how many would vote for her anyway. I was responding to the question of would she be taken seriously as a President, which I think would depend more on her actions than on her gender.
  13. Could anyone possibly be taken any less seriously than George W.? Honestly, I think we're at a time where her abilities would matter more than her gender. She might have to work a little bit harder than a man would to earn the same amount of respect, especially being the first female President, but that probably wouldn't be so hard to do.
  14. That's gross not romantic. Hey, stop changing my words! This isn't Speaker's Corner.
  15. We were just playing fetch earlier. That was sort of romantic.
  16. Mmm sauerkraut... Much better than Cajun food. I'd sell you my soul for some, but I sold that thing years ago. As for rebuilding New Orleans, if it were any other city I'd say screw it, but I love that city (even if I don't like their food) so I'd like to see it rebuilt.
  17. I would too, but then again I probably wouldn't be paying a whole lot of attention to some woman who was trying to change the Catholic church. I would think that there would be better things to try to change in the world, if you are so inclined... Yep.
  18. I understand what you're saying, and if a Catholic woman doesn't like that then she can either spend her time trying to change that idea within her religion, or she can disassociate herself from that religion (or she can just sit around and complain that it's not fair).
  19. Hmm, and there's another idea. But then in my cult, being the sacrificial offering might be something that you would enjoy.
  20. Now there's an idea.... I can only imagine what that would involve... I once had this guy do a handwriting analysis for me, and one of the things he wrote down about me was that I was very likely to either join a cult or start one... Now I can't see myself ever joining a cult, but starting one??? Hmm...

That's ok, I'm easily confused. And I see now that you work in neuroscience, so I'm guessing that you probably do know a thing or two about the brain (at least I would hope so!)

Or perhaps you did not make yourself clear. Sorry if I misunderstood your original post.

I like this idea too but I would not focus on general principles of control of body movement by nervous system. Skydiving is very mental, so I'd rather concentrate on brain regions involved in fear responses and general judgment. You can also combine this with anatomy and physiology of adrenaline release. I wouldn't think that the amygdala or the prefrontal cortex would have much to do with "control of body movement by nervous system." I would expect those areas to have more to do with the "mental" aspect of skydiving that you are suggesting.

    Tornadoes

Yeah, I remember seeing something about a tornado near L.A. and thought that was really strange. But I looked up some stuff about tornadoes in CA, and apparently it's not that uncommon (though I don't think they've really had any big destructive ones). Having lived in TX most of my life, I've seen a lot of funnel clouds, but I've never seen a tornado that was actually on the ground. (I should be careful what I wish for.) The only tornado that really scared me was the one in Jarrell in 1997. It seemed like there were tornado warnings all over the area that day (I think there ended up being six that touched down), and the weather outside was going nuts. I had my mom, my sister, and my nephew all huddled up at my house, waiting to go down in the basement if we needed to. (But I kept running around outside to see if I could see anything, of course).
