  1. I recently watched a video of open-heart surgery; if that's not "playing God," then I don't know what is. Where do you draw the line of what God is or is not ok with regarding medical technology? Is it ok to do what we can to extend someone's life but not ok to interfere with creating a life?
  2. I'm old enough that I watched Quincy as a kid. I can't do the C.S.I. thing though; if I'm gonna watch tv nowadays, it's either comedy or non-fiction. Well, unless the voices tell me to watch one of those adult channels...
  3. Probably a good idea to call it "God." If you call it anything else then it might be considered as pathology.
  4. my voices tell me the same thing. that, and to burn stuff You too? Cool. But please don't tell the people in white coats... I don't want them to come get me again.
  5. I see nothing surprising about it. Good for him. Well, I don't know about the Taliban remark, but it's good to see that sticking with his own judgment is more important to him than listening to the church.
  6. Interesting... I suspect (in my own crazy opinion ;) that we will one day discover there is a lot more to such internal stimuli which should be attended to (much more than most "sane" people currently do). Just a feeling I have though... not something I can really explain.
  7. Wouldn't dreams be a form of "input" that doesn't involve using the five senses? Or do you think that they are just a conglomeration of memories that we did experience through the five senses?
  8. Thank you... I needed a good laugh to get the day going.

    Tres Gatos

Ahh... Peanut and Jelly... that is too cute.

Wow! Thanks, Michele! That sounds like great advice; I'm sure we'll put it to use.
  11. I absolutely LOVED that book, and The Hotel New Hampshire (one of my favorite books ever!)... But then I tried reading The Cider House Rules and A Prayer for Owen Meany (also by John Irving), and he just lost me... Anyhow, in The World According to Garp, roadhead doesn't seem like such a good idea.
  12. I don't think there is any way to have more fun behind the wheel of a moving vehicle. Am I the only one on here who has read The World According to Garp? Roadhead should be scary.
  13. Well, he's actually my husband. But since he doesn't eat pig, he'll probably let me go on my own.

That's one naughty little leprechaun. (420/69) Cute though...
  16. Yikes! You're a bit, umm, accident prone, eh? And here's a bit about Bob Flanagan's "Wall of Pain" (in case you've never heard of it): http://www.shereerose.com/see_video/see_video_wallofpain.html. Not to hijack your thread, but "wall of pain" will always make me think of Bob.
  17. Yum... but my man doesn't eat pork. I do though... Can I come over?
  18. Ouch. What happened to you? Oh, and I thought this thread was going to be about Bob Flanagan.

Oops, I forgot for a moment that this isn't all about ME. Ok, I'll stop posting links to non-red stuff.
  20. From the title of the thread, it sounds like you have to do all of them. And I'll be happy to shoot video.

I like the satin slip, the polkadot mini, and the lace chemise (in that order). And now I'm sad that I can't go to the Red Nighty Party (or LP). But I'm sure you guys will somehow manage to have fun without me.
  22. California has a requirement along those lines, but not all states do. Possession is just a misdomeanor here, too, I believe, dating back to when Jerry Brown was guv. That was my understanding when I voted to keep the three strikes law (here in Cali). I think that possession of marijuana might still count for a third strike(???), but only if the person has already been convicted of two violent crimes (in which case they're a total idiot if they choose to continue breaking ANY laws).
  23. Why does that not surprise me? I used to read the BASE Board all the time for the soap opera-type entertainment. But that gets old pretty quick... And thanks to Tom, the BASE Zone on here doesn't get quite so "entertaining." (Or maybe it does? I hardly ever read it.)
