  1. Ah man, why would you want to go and ruin a good healthy tomato like that!? They're yummy raw...
  2. We've had some pretty good tomatoes from our garden too. I mostly eat them in salads, and Rich mostly eats them on vegemite toast. Sorry, no unique dishes...
  3. The pictures in the faq (http://www.femalefreedom.ca/faq.htm) are funny. My worst fear when I'm peeing in the woods is that a giant bear will be perving on my naked ass while I am totally unaware... Well that, and that I'll pee on my shoes.
  4. Yeah, the movie and book have the same title. I ended up reading the first few pages of about five different books last night before I finally settled on Anne Rice's Exit to Eden. Pretty good so far...
  5. I rarely use an alarm clock, except when I need to get up ridiculously early for whatever reason... But then, yeah - I set it for about an hour before I need to get up and then hit the snooze over and over.
  6. You should have included a choice for "all of the above."
  7. Maybe... Ok, no... I'm just digging some good old music/cinematography.
  8. 'nother brick in the wall. Oh yes. I finally got this on dvd. It rocks.
  9. Is that before the rebates? Nope, that's after the rebates... But we're looking at installing a lot of panels. I think that most people could get away with a cheaper system (but again, we're both home most of the time so we're above average on home electricity usage).
  10. Yes, it is an excellent book! I highly recommend... It's the first non-educational NOVEL that I have read in the past few years!
  11. Why would it shy potential buyers away? Even if they don't care about renewable energy sources, it will save them money on their electricity bills... Or are you suggesting that most people are such idiots that the appearance would bother them?
  12. We just got a proposal for installing solar panels. It'll cost us around $21K for a decent system (we use a lot of electricity since we're both home most of the time), so we're looking around for the best financing options, but I think we're gonna do it. It seems like a shame to waste all of the sunshine out here...
  13. Man, I got all excited... only to be let down.
  14. The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides. I'll probably finish it tonight or tomorrow, and then it'll be Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho by Stephen Rebello. And I also have The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping with Chicks sitting on my desk, but I'm not reading it cover to cover; I occasionally open it to a random page and read a bit.
  15. Yeah, I'm guessing that's why Jesus looks so excited in that picture.
  16. He started the satanic cult. Funny how the bible conveniently omits certain things, like Jesus's horns and his appetite for booze and satanic women... Oh and his little anger management problem - you should have seen him beat the crap out of Satan's lapdog.
  17. Well, actually I have a picture of him sitting in my backyard, so the statement is now proven false.

  19. I could have built a cool church or commune and started my own religion. Damnit, if I had started that at the age when I started drinking, I would be a famous cult leader by now. Oh well, there's still time... Welcome to the Camp. I guess you all know why we're here. My name is Keely, and I became aware this year...
  20. I've never heard of the Big Bang theory having anything to do with when time began. I thought it just had to do with the creation of our universe. I see no reason to believe that nothing existed before it.
  21. I have a hard time getting motivated to do yardwork (because of my general laziness ;), but when I finally get around to doing it I usually enjoy it, and it does feel therapeutic.
  22. I remember that movie! I had to look up the trailer to make sure it was what I was thinking of, and it was. Wow, I was really young when I saw that, so I don't remember much about it.
