I just looked at the website, and the Peter Pan ride is still there: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/parks/attractions/detail?name=PeterPansFlightAttractionPage So I recommend that ride. And I doubt the line for it will be very long (it wasn't when we went), so it shouldn't take up too much of your time. The flying bit reminded me of the flying dreams I often have, so I'm guessing that other skydivers might like it too.

Hey now, don't call me little.
-
I really liked the Peter Pan ride, but it's been so long since I've been there that I don't know if that ride still exists. It was one of the kiddie rides, but it was cool because you fly around in a pirate ship, looking down at the city lights...

I think that you should post a picture of your tramp stamp, Remi.
-
I never heard the term "tramp stamp" until I saw this thread. I've heard it called a "welcome mat" though. But whatever; it's just another tat, and I think they look nice on the lower back. And yeah, I'm insulted that no one thinks I'm a tramp since I don't have a "tramp stamp."

And then Arnold Schwarzenegger appears, naked... He looks Huge Waffle Press Guy straight in the eye and says, "I need your clothes, your boots, and your scooter."

Now this thread is making me think of Cold Ethyl.

My husband makes a really good quiche... and he likes it too. Hmm, and actually I know a lot of men that like quiche, but maybe they're not "real men." Anyhow, if you like to make quiche, then make one! Who cares if men like it or not.

Well, I'd be concerned about the sanity of anyone who actually likes coach class.

I don't know if it would be considered a true addiction (hmm, though I guess that we can be psychologically addicted to just about anything), but pain does produce a change of state that can be pleasant, similar to exercise and similar to alcohol and some other drugs. And it seems to be a normal human thing to seek a change of state; we just tend to have different preferences for the type of change and the intensity.

Which reminds me of the best video ever: http://youtube.com/watch?v=9ToNZHG5KHw

Shotgun replied to Andy_Copland's topic in The Bonfire
However many you and they think is acceptable. -
Or people who jump out of perfectly good airplanes.

Screw that... Getting branded would be more fun.

The two from Texas happened at Lake LBJ, which is where my mom lives. It's supposed to be pretty rare to get an infection from it, so it's scary to have two cases so close to each other. But the water there did seem exceptionally warm this summer.
-
Desert and dessert. I always get these confused.

Where my mom lives, on Lake LBJ in Texas, two people have died this year from an amoebic infection that they acquired in the lake. I had been swimming in that lake around the time the first case occurred, and the water was so warm that it almost felt like a hot tub, warmer than I recall it ever being out there. And apparently since the second case, the lake has been almost empty because people are freaked out.

Does Skydiving Attract Many Who Are in Need of Mental Health Services
Shotgun replied to steve1's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, we are still young in our knowledge of the mind. Sure, we know a lot more than we did even fifty years ago, but I think we've still barely scratched the surface. -
Dude, I hate to tell you this, but you were not young in the 90's. And this was my first big crush: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adaYUM5wl7c Until I discovered these guys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43A_q22FTUI

Have you seen him in the recent "Hairspray"? I think that's one of the better parts he's played in a while. And it was just a really good movie.
-
Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny. I liked the "Extreme Home Makeover" bit at the end.
-
I've watched it a few times. As a woman, I found it amusing, though I was thinking that most of that stuff wouldn't work with me. But who knows . . .

What about hanging the philodendron, or putting it on a shelf where the kitties can't reach it? I have a lot of it myself, but I have it out of reach of the cats. I'd love to have some big potted plants inside too, but I haven't been able to think of anything that the cats won't mess with. Well, except for the snake plant (mother-in-law's tongue) - that's the only plant I've had within their reach that they don't seem to bother. I believe it's only mildly toxic, but I don't think the cats would eat it anyway.

It's still commonly used in regard to live-in jobs such as nannies, caretakers, etc.
