Well, judging from your favorites, you probably won't like my favorite... Willie's Place, XM 13. But I don't have XM, so the only time I usually listen to it is when I'm in Texas and borrowing/riding in my mom's car. And it just makes me happy driving around Texas listening to the good old country music they play on that station.

I think I've been reading the same book since January. The Difference Engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling. It's actually a pretty good book; I just haven't made much time for pleasure-reading lately, but I'm almost done with it. I spend so much time reading school books that I don't usually want to read in my spare time.

I like how perfect her makeup looks in the morning, after a night of drunken sex.

Yeah, we just had our home appraised, and when I checked our address on Zillow, it was about $40K less than what the appraiser valued our home at. But, of course, the appraiser is taking into account the upgrades we've done to our home.

Name a topic you think you know more about than BillVon.

Boy... Does he have you fooled! That's exactly what I was thinking. But evil is not necessarily a bad thing. And to answer the OP, I can think of a lot of things... Swing dancing, entertaining cats, playing the guitar, what Remi looks like in fishnets, just to name a few... -
And now I am wondering why you are familiar with the sensation of wetting your pants... But I don't think I'll ask.

Is this your idea of foreplay??? Dude, you need to get an instructional manual or something. -

Umm, I think you overlooked something: Typical man. -
I would have been three years old and living safely down in Pecos, TX at that time. Well, there may have been tornadoes in West TX at that same time, but I don't remember. I do remember plenty of tornadoes in later years though.

Is that a new band? Sonic = greasy cheeseburgers and tator tots. Pretty tasty for fast food though. And they have drive-in (not drive-through) service. But they don't serve redneck deer tacos.

The link doesn't work for me. Is this a new ricin case, or the same one that happened in Feb.?

And just to be clear, I don't think that spanking the boy is what caused him to turn into a murderer. I would imagine that he was mentally disturbed for some other reason. But spanking obviously did nothing to prevent his bad behavior (as is the case with most juvenile delinquents). And in this particular story, there is no news of whether the kids involved were spanked or not. (I'm pretty sure it's not illegal to spank your children in Georgia.) So it's silly to think that a lack of spanking had anything to do with this.
-
Like Mitchell Johnson, who was spanked by a teacher, then went back to school the next day with a gun, shooting and killing that same teacher along with a few other people? Yeah, spanking is the answer.

WOW! My heart just started beating really fast while looking at that picture.

I don't think I ever had a "chemical addiction" to cigarettes. Perhaps a mental addiciton in the form of a "habit," but again, it was similar (for me) to biting my fingernails. And I did say to myself that it was stupid and that I should quit (just like biting my fingernails), but I didn't necessarily quit at that point. But when I did decide to quit, it was pretty easy, and I think that's the difference between me and someone who is physically (or chemically) addicted to it. And alcohol is similar. There are people who drink very heavily at some point in their lives (many college kids, for example), and then at some point they just start drinking in moderation. But there are others who start drinking heavily and are never able to return to consistently drinking in moderation. Anyhow, the only thing I am sure of regarding addiction is that it's a disorder that is not well understood as of yet.

I don't know.... Why don't you click "yes" to download the file, and then let the rest of us know what it is?

I think it's more a case of certain chemicals affecting different people in different ways. With the cigarette example, I've smoked on and off throughout my life, and yet I've never felt physically addicted to nicotine. Sometimes I smoked a pack a day, sometimes maybe one cigarette a month, but it wasn't a progressive thing for me where I couldn't go back to smoking occasionally after I had been smoking heavily. For me, my smoking habit was comparable to biting my fingernails, as far as how "addicted" I was to it. But obviously for some people that's not the case. But maybe you're right in that once a person has acquired a physical dependence on a substance there is no way to return to (consistently) using it in moderation. And I guess, for whatever reason, I just never acquired the physical dependence on nicotine that many smokers acquire. Doesn't make me any smarter than the people who get physically addicted, and it doesn't mean that I treated cigarettes any more responsibly than they did; we're just wired differently, or something like that.

Or we might be way off... Due to an "epiphany" I had one night, I am convinced that the inner core of the Earth is filled with ants.

I have a scale, but it's in the closet, so I guess it's not a bathroom scale.

I was a member of the UM church for a while. Joined when I was a teenager so that I could go on their summer choir trip to California (and a few other trips). I was an atheist, so I didn't care much for the message the church had to offer, but I got to go on some fun trips that I probably wouldn't have otherwise. Not sure if that is relevant to this thread, but maybe it is... Oh, and I'm looking forward to seeing this bowl-off that Clinton and Obama will be having to settle this whole thing.

A politician mentions his/her religion? I assume it is to further his/her political aims. May or may not be true, but I figure it's a good assumption most of the time. This is a country of predominantly "religious" people, so it makes political sense to at least pretend to be affiliated with one of the major religious sects. It may not be honest in some cases, but politics doesn't seem to be very conducive to honesty.

Do you know how many alcohol-related arrests he had before they required him to wear the bracelet?

How do you get such fine detail and such beautiful close-up shots like that? What kind of equipment does it take? I was about to ask the same question. I was getting really good close-up shots with my Nikon Coolpix 5700, but it has recently crapped out on me, so I'm in the market for a new camera (one that's good for close-ups). Though I guess I was pretty happy with the Coolpix, so I may just get another one...

Why Pilots Should Not be Allowed Firearms on Planes
Shotgun replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
Bonfire is filled with statements about grabbing tits, spanking asses, sex, fucking, shitting in bath tubs, drug use, stupid human tricks and the like.... Are you very hesitant meeting any of them? Words can become deeds you know..... Most of the things you mention that are said in Bonfire are things that people actually do or intend to do. The statement labrys made didn't seem to have any intent in it - more of a hypothetical question. (Or so it seemed to me.)
