Is it possible to have sex with one person for the rest of your life?
Shotgun replied to tmanmike's topic in The Bonfire
That sounds like a dangerous assumption to make. -

I don't really see any need for a rebuttal, but if that was the case, then I guess it would be a win-win situation for both of us. -

Not always. That really shouldnt matter. We are all adults aren't we? We all have the ability to make decisions for ourselves. True... I suppose I learned pretty early in life how to recognize your type, and I am usually not attracted to those guys. And the few times that I have dated guys like you, I pretty much knew what I was getting into and didn't want a serious relationship anyway. But I also discovered early in life that I feel better about myself if I am honest with other people about what I want, and I generally try to stay away from people who are not honest with me. But you're right; we're adults, and we decide who we trust and who we don't. -

Are you honest with them about what it is that you want from them? -

He did mention something about cheating ... Oh, OK. Well, that was in a different thread, which I hadn't read. -

I don't see anything wrong with his way of thinking, as long as he is honest about it. (He didn't mention anything about cheating.) It would be wrong for him to commit to someone if that's not what he wants. -
Well, yeah! Why else would anyone go camp out in the wilderness. Ain't it a shame that this is what is most important to people? (Yeah, I know that doesn't apply to you.) Well, it was my idea to go on the touristy boat, because I figured that was the only way we were going to see Lake Arrowhead from the water. And it turns out that what there is to see is mostly big fancy homes. So Lake Gregory was more my cup of tea, since it is open to the public, and people are not allowed to build lake-front homes, so the shores are more natural. But it still has a lot more rules compared to what I am used to from the Texas lakes.

I'm not understanding why you're equating promiscuity with betrayal. We can't ensure that no one will get hurt in a non-promiscuous society. The jealousy and betrayal that I have dealt with in relationships has mostly had nothing to do with anyone being promiscuous.

I have a new one: "That's Me Trying" (William Shatner, Aimee Mann, and Ben Folds)

It's an outlet tower. I think the tour guide said that it was originally built to supply water to San Bernardino and the other desert towns below the mountains, but I don't think it's being used for that now. I was having a lot of trouble understanding anything that he said..... I think he was mostly pointing out the homes of various celebrities.

This kind of Brazilian?

If you have to pass information through a "penile filter," then I think that is your problem, not ours. And on the "homewrecker" thing... If you allow some woman to wreck your home, then that is your own fault, no matter how attractive or "powerful" she is. Your relationship is your and your wife's responsibility, not anyone else's. (I'm not suggesting that you would ever cheat on your wife. I'm just replying to you since you mentioned homewreckers.)

Ah, that place looks nice. And it's pretty close to where I live. We'll definitely check that out, either for a day trip or camping in the cooler months.

So is this a good or bad thing that they mention their boyfriend? I've been surprised at how many times men have asked me on a date without first asking me if I'm in a relationship. It would seem to be common sense to find out the relationship status before asking someone out, and it shouldn't be expected that someone is just going to mention his/her SO without a reason to. (I don't just assume that any man who is talking to me must be trying to get in my pants, so I don't mention that I am married unless I have a reason to mention it.)

I use spellcheck to find typos that I may have made, not to learn how to spell words. (So actually, it still works for me as long as I don't click on any of the words that it catches.) And what is the problem with reporting an error? Yes, there are ways to get around the error, but if it was my website then I would want to know about the error so that I could fix it.

Which ones? (The link took me to a site that listed a bunch of different hot springs.)

No, but I'd like to check it out sometime. It looks like we could even take our own boat up there, but I'm not sure I want to drive on those mountain roads while towing a 23-ft sailboat. (I'm kinda freaked out by those roads as it is. I was originally driving, but I had to pull over and let Rich drive because I was getting dizzy.) I also want to go to the hot springs on Deep Creek sometime, but it was about an hour drive from where we were (plus another hour hike in), so I think it would be better to just camp there sometime. Have you ever been there?

We went camping at the North Shore campground at Lake Arrowhead this weekend. It was one of the few locations that wasn't already full, probably because Arrowhead is a private lake. You can't really use the lake unless you have a home there (or know someone who does), but I did make Rich take the lake tour with me on the Arrowhead Queen. It was a little too cold for swimming anyway, but we got some good hiking in on the North Shore Trail, which started right across from our camp site. We even had fresh bear prints at our camp site, and we saw some more down the trail. We drove over to Lake Gregory for one day (about ten miles away), and it's a public lake, so we rented a rowboat and tooled about the lake for a while. We also walked around the lake on the beautiful trail there. It turns out that there is a nice camp site right by that lake (Camp Switzerland) that is not advertised on most camping websites, so I'm thinking we'll go back up there later in the summer and camp at that place. Anyhow, it was a neat area with lots of cute little mountain towns. And here's a few pics:

I like her outfit. And the music's cool too.

So...we're selectively deleting people's posts now?

Perhaps they support the Stop Clown Porn Movement. (NSFW) -
OK, now I'm scared.

I've been here a long time, but I guess I missed the Head and Shoulders thing, so I'm always wondering what the joke is when it's mentioned. I keep meaning to ask someone . . .
