Well, they put Roy Moore up for election to replace Jeff Sessions. But enough people were grossed out that Alabama actually elected a Democratic senator Wendy P.

For a dime, I'll give anyone who wants one a warning. That way you won't feel left out

Trump threatens President of Panama over Canal
wmw999 replied to JoeWeber's topic in Speakers Corner
I’ve been to the museum in Panama City. The Panamanian one. It’s not a pretty story how we lived there Wendy P. -
I actually never got a warning... I must be a perfect angel Either that or too boring to bother Wendy P.

Where did you hear it? I'd bet someplace like OAN or Blaze News. Because it's bullshit. I live in one of the most liberal cities in America. We don't do that. We don't even consider that. And congestion pricing in cities (as happens in London) is about traffic, then pollution -- today problems, rather than being about carbon credits. Wendy P.

Well the mayor is a Social Democrat (AKA Swiss Socialist), and Switzerland has 13% poverty. Zurich has over 12,000 people receiving welfare last year. Wendy P.
-
No, but if it benefits the country (eg less transportation cost, less pollution to remediate, less trash to dispose of, etc), then I don’t see any issue with rewarding it with grants and things like that. Wendy P.

Yeah. Not sure how I ever fit a job in there. Wendy P.

Nice guy Wendy P.

I live in one. I really like it. However, housing is unaffordable for many locally, so it's not a 15-minute city for them. NYC, with its local neighborhoods, is very much a 15-minute city in a whole lot of ways. Maybe letting people vote with their feet is the way to go. Wendy P.

Again, what conservative-run cities don't have any poverty or ghettos? Wendy P.
-
What large cities DON'T have downtrodden areas? It's poverty, not race. It's lack of safe housing, not race. It's the hollowing out of decent jobs that pay enough to live somewhere. There are ghettos of all kinds (I didn't specify race, you did). Wendy P.

What do you think? I mean really think, as opposed to willing to weaponize? I'm not making fun of the murders, nor sympathizing with the murderer. I'm just remembering T-shirts in the 70's saying things like "Kill them all and let God sort them out." Black humor, y'know. Wendy P.

8 years ago the dz.com user Lurch wrote a diatribe about exactly that was why he was voting for Trump. Hasn't worked yet. Wendy P.

A mass killing. What amateurs. Gotta get them some big boy toys. Wendy P.
-
You know what that really means -- all those ghettoes. Gotta get rid of them. Maybe we can take the children and train them to be good Americans in special schools. Kind of like we did with the Indians. Wendy P.

OMG! Q is back! Wendy P.

So in other words a REAL negotiator goes back on settled terms, and settles them when he might not be able to complete the transaction. Remind me not to do business with you. Wendy P.

Isn't using statistics and outside-developed information in a decision taking committee input? Wendy P.

"It's the money, stupid." More money buys better justice and everything else. Turns out when you're rich, they really WILL let you grab them by the pussy -- it's just not their own pussy they'll let you grab. Wendy P.

They're generally as good with their guns as young canopy pilots are with their canopies. As in the more they actually practice, the better they are, and the more they can just show how good they are, rather than having to talk about it. However, the fatalities with canopies are (almost) always only the pilot. Doesn't necessarily work that way with guns. Wendy P.

He did mean South Africa, and do you have any answer for his substance? If not, how about if I ask what's your thought on how Musk appears to have bought his way into power in the government. Have you ever read anything by the Founding Fathers and the writing of the Constitution? They weren't for that kind of thing. Wendy P.
-
I just love how Musk has bought himself a country. Wendy P.

Nah nobody wants to control what type of car to buy
wmw999 replied to BartsDaddy's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, it only applies to new cars sold in California. Used ones, out of state ones, all fine. And given how the mountains trap smog so badly, whose lungs are you willing to fuck up so that people can drive a Hummer? Preferably, of course, with cheap subsidized gasoline. Kind of like guns. They’re just making it harder for the lazy. You can still buy antique cars that use leaded gas, too. Wendy P. -
You guys sound like you’re about 16 and all horny for the same girl. Or car. Wendy P.
