  1. I'm sure on one of my mini DV tapes I have some aerial shots of Moab from when I jumped there last January. But I haven't found it yet. But here is a picture of myself landing at Moab's airport and you can see from the background that there is some really neat rock formations in the area. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. Why would you do such a thing? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. Last year, it was the Ice Boogie. But it won't be like that this year. I've already talked with Mother Nature and she assures me that she'll be in a better mood this time around. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Damn ... definitely not good. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Who are you referring to when you say them? Are some of you guys assuming that someone like myself automatically belongs to a certain socialist and/or leftist political ideology just because I don't like GWB? Historically I've always sided with the GOP (even though I'm not a Yank), but this time around it is different. I am a capitalist, I own stock, have owned a corporation in the past and acted as it's CEO (albeit a small one) and have always believed that people need to take responsibility for their financial well being and not rely on the government. But this time is different. I believe that GWB is dangerous, arrogant and an ignorant person for the job that he has running the most powerful country. He has little foreward vision for making the USA a better country. I mean look at the campaigns. All GWB wants to talk about is terrorism and Iraq (and of course he likes to slam anyone who's against him). He offers no solutions towards the economy and other important domestic issues. Why? I can only guess because he's not a very smart person and only made it to the White House because of his ties to big money. But that's just me and how I feel about GWB. Obviously there are plenty of people who like him, like his war on terrorism and his war in Iraq stance and could care little else about other important domestic issues. Lately I've seen you show some good restraint here Kennedy. But I just knew PJ could not let me have the last word (nor will he let me have it this time either). The dude can't even recognize when he's being purposely baited for the sake of seeing him go balistic on these boards. Remember, arguing on the internet is just like being in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded. Peace out people and try to respect these Iraqi soccer players who are pissed off that GWB is using them in his election campaign. Put yourself in their shoes and maybe you will see why they feel this way. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Hey Kristi, as a guy I can't really comment about the good looks of another guy. But let it be known that you as a woman would likely really like Sangiro if/when you have the pleasure of meeting him. He is a good looking dude and he's super friendly. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. So who'll be at the Perrine over the Labor Day long weekend? I'm pretty sure myself and some fellow CO peeps will be there. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Alana ... Jamie was at the Eloy holiday boogie. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. Likely Saturday (as I'm sure people will be sleeping in Sunday from the partying the night before). But a lot will depend on the weather. There was a lot of people there during the Memorial Day long weekend and if I'm not mistaken a lot of people were talking of a return trip over the Labor Day long weekend. Oh and I'm about 90% certain that myself and a bunch of CO peeps will be at the Moab boogie.
  10. I was thinking of going to the Perrine this weekend. But it looks like next weekend is more likely than this weekend with some people I may travel up there with (you know at least one of these people Wingi). But the Labor Day weekend is likely the weekend to be at the bridge. As for the beauty of jumping in Moab, I will try and post a picture tomorrow (assuming I remember). I've yet to jump into Mineral Bottom. But if I'm not mistaken, this is the canyon where Clint will be dropping people into during the boogie instead of the normal airport LZ. Plus there should also be some BASE jumping as well into Mineral Bottom at the same time the skydivers fly over it with their canopies. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. You think I give a rats ass about whether or not some d###b on the internet respects me just because I slammed his beloved president? Dude you need to spend more time jumping and less time spewing your partisan political views. Slam me all you want (as we know you will as you always must get that last word in), but I'm out of here. It's time to go play volleyball, have a life and not worrying about what others think about me on the internet. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. There is a very good chance that I will be there for the boogie jumping from airplanes as well as from the cliffs. Oh and the DZO (Clint) is an awesome dude willing to bend over backwards to make his clients happy. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. Partisan politics has a way of clouding the minds of many people towards what may be really happening out there in the world. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. Yes people would die (it's called a civil war). But guess what? They're dying right now under GWB's regime. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. Dang dude ... Iraqis are not free. They're just living under a different dictator (GWB) that's all. Plus I have one question for you. If a foreign army invaded your homeland, what would you do? Proclaim the invading army defenders of your freedom? Ya right ... LOL ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. I think I'd be better off with a strong, independent woman as historically my relationships with the needy have never gone well. Women don't scare me, they just do a damn good job of confusing me, that's all. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. My '89 Toyota Supra is named "Suzy Supra". My '86 Honda CBR600F3 is named "Holly the Honda". My '99 Jeep Wrangler is names "Jessie the Jeep". But I have yet to name my Crossfire2, my Spectre or my BASE canopy and I some how don't think I will name them anytime soon. But you go right ahead and name your canopy. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. My longest streak so far was 497 jumps without a reserve ride and my current streak now stands at 246 jumps without a reserve ride. Not too bad considering I do fly a fairly highly loaded elliptical canopy. But who knows what will happen on my next jump? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. The thing that gets me is that NBC prefers NOT to show live event coverage and instead to prefers to delay the coverage so as to alter an event to show it their way on TV (and let’s not forget all those feel good stories about Billy-Bob and what a hard time he/she had getting there and what a great person they are). Case in point, in gymnastics, each team spends time on each apparatus before moving on to the next. And it's possible that some girl will be on the balance beam while another is doing a floor routine (with music) while one is on the poma and another one is on the uneven bars. An Olympics gymnastics event is like a circus event with many things going on all at the same time. But NBC modifies this footage and shows each gymnast for each country (who they choose to cover) all on the same apparatus all at the same time starting from the bronze medalist all the way to the gold medalist. This is not how the competition is conducted, yet NBC feels the need to modify the footage to make their viewers think that hey this is the way the event was played out. Of course this way of covering the Olympics is not new. It’s the formula the American media has been using for years. I can’t speak for European Olympics TV coverage, but I can tell you that the CBC chooses to show live event coverage instead of this pre-canned sappy modified version NBC prefers. The live event coverage is where the drama, suspense and spontaneity comes from, shit we already know who won a given event before NBC even chooses to cover it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. As usual, NBC's coverage of the Olympics is a joke. But what else is new? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. I see you're not very familar with what happened in Europe during WWII. So just as a refresher, you can see that both the Allies and Germany were terrorists (by your definitions). Both sides bombed the civilian population to not only destroy the industrial infrastructures, but to also terrorize the innocent private citizens. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. Keep the electric fly swatter away from Mar. She's evil with that thing in her hands. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Regardless of whether or not this story is true, people have been judged by their looks since the beginning of time and there is no reason to think that this trend will ever change. If you're one of the good looking types, you may not realize this but life is easier for you. People are friendlier to you, you are given opportunities others can only dream about and people tend to forgive your mistakes more easily. But if you are like the rest of us ugly ducklings, you know that people are less likely to offer time and opportunities to you, other people are less likely to be friendly towards you and god forbid if you ever make a mistake. You are much more likely to be hung out to dry. I see it every day and I live it every day. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Well I'm now thinking that this poor critter in jail is an imposter and not the real Casie. I mean Casie likes to lie about on her back doesn't she? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. x:0:0 Another weekend of no jumping for this currently grounded jumper due to an existing foot injury. But there is light at the end of the tunnel as the foot is starting to get better and I'm thinking that a little action from a certain legal span out in potatoland is in order next weekend (followed by some skydiving the following weekend). This may sound a little mixed up to some, but I think I will be better off not re-injuring my sore foot jumping my large FLiK 293 canopy rather than my Crossfire2 119 canopy. Of course this means jumping from a span rather than an aircraft. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
