  1. For those interested in it, here's the vid those pigs killed 4 random people over. Warning: you won't be able to get your 14 minutes back afterwards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmodVun16Q4
  2. I'm rather consistent in my rejection of religions that promote hatred, bigotry and violence. People who bash Christianity, but not Islam are ignorants or hypocrites.
  3. There's no such thing as "the Islam" because just like Christianity there's many different takes on the religion. Mainly because the quran is of the same incoherent ambiguous quality as other Holy Books like the bible. As I understand it the ultimate goal of Islam seems to be a world ruled by Muslims, in which other religions ride the back-seat. Christians, for example, are free to practice their religion but have less rights than Muslims and pay extra taxes. Religious segregation as it were. Mind you that anything that isn't Abrahamic monotheism usually doesn't count as religion, but is considered to be something akin idolatry. Idolaters are in the same category of non-believers: lower than pigs and usually considered to be unworthy of life.
  4. Are we? the fact that drugs are mainly used because they're fun is so obvious people usually overlook it. Before I became a boring generic citizen, I did experiment a bit with drugs, btw, so I'm not a "virgin", but the last time used something illegal is years ago. Btw, I've two Jack Russel Terriers the poodle was just artistic liberty.
  5. Personally I don't give a shit about personl attacks, but some people might, so most probably you're not playing around, but you're just trying to wiggle your way out of a ban. Good luck with that.
  6. So you're trying to prove the word "creationist" is an insult, by referring to me as an idiot and a moron?
  7. Meanwhile in the real world, Christianity is to science, what cancer is to toddlers. Even if it doesn't snuff them out completely it's extremely bad for their development. That's why (for example) the most vocal opponents of evolution are Christians.
  8. So you have a lot of trouble understanding what you read, it seems. Your trust in evolution is admirable, still the earth will probably be sterilized in the latter half of the next billion years. Long before the sun burns up btw. Your understanding of the relevant science is lacking and/or coming from ScyFy channel sitcoms
  9. Well, at least I'm not the one that's trying to prove Global Warming is a hoax by quoting an article that claims that the effects of global warming won't be too severe in Germany.
  10. I'm not sure whether you're lying or whether you demonstrate your inability in "logical thought" Implying that being an attorney isn't very useful when discussing evolution, isn't the same as implying that training in logical thought isn't useful in a debate. Actually I used the phrase "beyond reasonable doubt" meaning that there's like a 99,99999999% chance that evolution is true, and that while there is a small change it isn't true, that change can be ignored because it's practically 0 anyway. So?
  11. And being an attorney is very usefull in discussions about evolution because....? Meanwhile, in 2012 proof in favour of evolution is overwhelming. Not only from fosil record, geographic distribution of life, genetics etc. etc. we have seen it happening around us. Bacteria became resistant to antibiotics, for example, during the last decades. Not only does evolution happen, due to the way our kind of life reproduces, it's bound to happen. There are two trees standing in front of my house. Those could be real or a very persistent hallucination I happen to share with everyone I know. Am I akin to a religious zealot for believing those trees are real beyond any reasonable doubt? To me evolution is similar. Is there a chance that evolution is nonsense, that it's the result of a world wide conspiracy or something? Yes, there is, however that's extremely unlikely. Neglect-able unless someone comes with very convincing evidence that tells otherwise
  12. I've actually more reservations with the whole controversy than it looks like. I'm in a more or less agnostic position, going with the consensus of people who's say is significant in the matter, like climatologists. Right now most agree the climate is changing, and most of those agree it's (partly) because humans change the atmosphere. Is it fair to toss climate skeptics on the same heap as creationists? I'll admit it's not completely fair, because evolution is much better understood. But ignoring the scientific consensus, or worse claiming it's all a conspiracy, is not very wise.
  13. So by calling creationists stupid, I force them to accept the Theory of Evolution? Are you Christian? I'm asking because persecution complex is a common sign of Christianity.
  14. Demonize? That must be your persecution complex. To demonize, is to to make someone, or a group of people appear to be evil. stupid =/= evil. And judging from the tone your topics on this subject usually have, it's a bit hypocritical to complain when the pleasantries are returned. You're more or less asking for it.
  15. It's funny how you use examples of scientists from times before the Theory of Evolution wasn't proven to be right beyond any reasonable doubt. I guess that's because contemporary scientists who deny evolution happened are much harder to find. But you've go a point there, not all creationists are idiots. But modern creationists in the developed world are ignorant fools that are on par with flat earthers. Not because they don't think like me, but because they deny something, that has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt, happened. Creationism is not a scientific alternative for evolution, it's religious bogus.
  16. Actually, if climate skeptics often turn out to be creationists like I expect them too be, it means that climate skeptics are generally people who aren't capable of understanding basic science. That would be an interesting thing to know, don't you think.
  17. I wonder how many of the climate skeptics are also creationists. I suspect the (positive) correlation between the two is significant. They sound very similar for starters.
  18. For starters, drugs are entertaining, that's why most people use them, to have a good time. But they have been used for other things: rituals, medicine etc. etc. No offense, but cops usually aren't called to deal with the 99% who just have a good time with drugs, so their view on drugs is usually warped. Yes, someone with a drug induced psychosis makes more of an impression than people who giggle in an annoying fashion for a couple of hours, but the latter is the usual manifestation of drugs.
  19. I already have a dog. Alas, as unluck would have it Old Jeller is is verbally abusive, judgmental dire poodle.
  20. Very funny. Edit: Google thinks it's because it improves accuracy. Sounds legit
  21. Why is it silenced? I mean it's considerate towards the neighbours and all to dispose of your burglars without noise, but wouldn't an ongoing burglary one of those occasions in which you actually would want to wake the neighbours?
  22. Interesting view, however it's not at all sure the other countries will stay in the Eurozone if Germany leaves. It doesn't seem unlikely that it would be followed by a "rats leaving the sinking ship" scenario in which all the economically viable countries would leave the Euro, or possibly in some variant on the Neuro/Seuro scenario.
  23. I don't defend illicit drugs, I just recognize the fact that the so called war on drugs is a futile and very costly undertaking. And while drugs are not without risk, they're usually far less dangerous than government officials want you to believe. Besides the drug policies of the average government (my own included) are so utterly retarded, that it's probably better to leave the decision whether or not to use drugs to the individual.
