    From the Taurus P22 manual 22. Dry firing is bad for this firearm,wether the hammer block is engaged or otherwise, The manual for my .380 does not address this issue. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

    I recently purchased a Bersa .380. It is small enough to carry concealed easily and they make some nifty rounds for the .380 now a days. And thanks Dave for the flashlight tip. A friend has a model19-5 .357 with a 31/2" barrel I am thinking of buying. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

    I used to have a limit of 1800 for this type of situation. After doing several demos and seeing the sub-terminal opening characteristics of my canopy I would go for the main as long as I am above 1400' anything lower and I will go for reserve to avoid putting myself in Cypres range.
