I would imagine there were similar issues with every wave of immigrants coming to the U.S. The older generation trying to hold on to their culture and the newer generation slowly assimilating to a different way of life. I like the idea of classes and sponsors that Tri Girl talked about up thread. I think maybe if we also took some time to learn about the culture of the immigrants we might be a little more understanding of their situation. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

thanks and for this: I have never looked at it from this perspective and I have to agree. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

doesn't that just highlight the cultural differences? I am honestly asking? The sexual abuse of young boys in Afghanistan for instance. Yes boys are molested in western countries but not as part of our culture. The men that do that here are looked at as scum by the majority of the population. Is that the case in Afghanistan? I really would like to know. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

you guys are right there are crazy extremist on both every side Do you think there are any fundamental differences in the way women are treated in the west compared to Islamic countries? Maybe not as extreme as the blame the victim Imam. I have read the horror stories about rape victims in Dubai, the rape of the reporter in Egypt and the female castrations in some African countries. Is it not a cultural thing? Or am I buying into the bias reporting?? You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

we did a midnight ghost tour in Key West a couple of years ago. It was a fun time. Also look for air boat rides in the everglades. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

regardless of the source I think this shows a basic difference in the clashing cultures. I thought that we realized a long time ago even if a woman dresses provocatively they are not asking to be molested. Here is a religious leader blaming the victim(s). well apparently whether it was rape, theft or molestation it was all the "girls" fault anyway. At least according to one local Imam. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

When Mike Wolfe first bought his Avalon he drove it to the DZ. I got there shortly after he did and parked next to his car and it was still running. I went and found him and he did not even realize he had to push the stop button . You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

I have probably 700 jumps on my 170 Lotus. I love the canopy good glide, nice flare it is heavy on the fronts but not much more than my Spectre. It was a learning experience landing it after putting 1000 jumps on a 7 cell but once I dialed it in I have nice soft tip toe landings every time. I did have to learn to fly the openings. I had some issues with line twists and wonky openings at first. Once I learned to fly the harness (thanks to Aaron at Flight 1) during opening I have not had any line twists probably the last 250 times I have jumped it. The only downside is it can be a pain to collapse after landing on windier days. And yes my last re-line were the black 400 HMA lines. Looks like black dental floss but it still flies the same so I don't really see a downside. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

I've definitely had sous vide edibles. It's pretty damn good, but not something I'm in to. It's easy to do and doesn't require much work, so it works for me! I concur you can cook some excellent pork tenderloin in the sous vide You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

Nice I did a couple in the cast iron skillet Monday. Heated it up to 500 degrees. Then put the skillet on the gas stove for another 5 minutes on high to get it really F'n hot. Seared each side for 45 seconds then back in the oven for 2 minutes each side. Came out perfect. The only seasonings were kosher salt and black pepper. I have also had good luck heating them in the sous vide at 125 for an hour or two and then seared in the HOT skillet. I always use bone in rib eyes You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!
