I have seen more discipline and everyone flying the pattern on big ways than any other jumps I have been on. Not flying the pattern or dicking arround under canopy will get you axed faster than goinng low or fucking up the skydive You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

[replyThere are some BASE jumpers out there who swear by shifting your ankles to point your toes OUT, instead of down - I have been trying that lately it makes sense to get some more lift out of your booties and seems to help fwiw I track like hell on every dive it is the 1 thing you can practice every jump no matter what kind of skydive you are doing and when I am on big ways I want to be the farthest mother out there at pull time You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

It is a good idea to demo a reserve to check out how it flies. I find my PD reserve handles very similar to my Spectre my Spectre is a 170 and my reserve is a PD 176 You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

Sometimes my wife goes with me to boogies sometimes she doesn't. We bought an rv so she could be comfortable (ac and queen size bed) while I am jumping. Sometimes she checks out the local sights (malls) while i jump. In my 7 years of jumping she has done 3 tandems but is not interested in pursuing jumping any more than the occasional tandem. You just need to give her the option and let her decide wether to go or stay home. I know once in a while she gets frustrated when I have 4-5 weekends in a row of jumping events but it usually isn't a big deal as long as I schedule a weekend here and there just for us or to work on the house. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

one suggestion have a limit on how long each person can try to put in there peice... like 2 trys and out or 5 seconds and get the hell out of the way if 1 person takes 30 seconds trying to put in a body part it can hose the other people waiting their turn and oh yeah have fun

I started AFF with my wifes Uncle and his brother. The brother quit after failing level 3 for the 4th time (or was it level 4 for the 3rd time) anyway he never got comfortable in the air. Her Uncle made about 30 jumps and quit. He just wasn't into it. 7 years later I ams till at it. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

Steep dives come with practice. I think you need to also work on getting everybody out the door quicker. You should be able to keep an 8 way pretty tight so there is not as much distance to cover getting to the base. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early! -
