  1. What is the rest of the thread doing? I think it's informative? The Money Connection
  2. Classclown, Please forgive me for not going back through and reading every one of the over 29000 comments in this particular forum and making the mistake of asking perfectly valid question. There was a specific reason WHY I asked that question because I wanted to see if it agreed with some private communication I had received recently from a source that is independent of this forum. Lee, you're not the one who should be apologizing. There's nothing wrong with education. The government spends billions of dollars on it every year. They even teach correct punctuation in those schools. This forum should at least partially be about freely educating people about the case. It is absurd to expect someone to read through the whole thread, as you point out. At least half of the thread is joking and socializing. Another part is tedious technical stuff that may or may not be important. Don't get me wrong. I think people have every right to post those things. Clown is just a bully that likes to pick on people like you, Jo and I. The Money Connection

  4. Yeah...............especially when it's old news...............have you not read this thread? ...........................no need to be repetitive arfuller.............. Seems to me this whole thread is the same info being discussed over and over. ...............Exactly........................same info being discussed over and over....................BY YOU............. If you don't like repetition then why do you use repeating periods. It's kind of annoying. The Money Connection
  5. Yeah...............especially when it's old news...............have you not read this thread? ...........................no need to be repetitive arfuller.............. Now I know why you call yourself classclown. Your're ridiculously funny. Seems to me this whole thread is the same info being discussed over and over. Hey clown, did you hear the one about flight 305 hijacked back in 71? There was a guy that called himself Dan Cooper like the guy in that comic book. The Money Connection
  6. Clown, I was informing LeeW274. Do you have a problem with me responding to people? The Money Connection
  7. There weren't any usable prints on the guitar strap. She heard that the money was lost on the way down. The Money Connection
  8. Hmmm.... Interesting choice of reading. At least she knows how to use Facebook. Nice picture. The Money Connection
  9. I watched Marla's interview with the NewsOk for about the fifth time and I picked up on something I hadn't noticed before. She's been accused of getting the information for her story from the internet and right here at dropzone. Things like the Dan Cooper comics and the radios. That made me wonder just how computer savvy Marla is. She's said that she doesn't have a TV. I wondered if she even had a computer. In the NewsOK interview she mentioned that her mother's interview could be found online. That makes me think she must have some ability with computers. If she truly thought her uncle could be the hijacker it makes sense that she would search the internet for information. Then again if her motive was just to write a book she could have done the same thing. She claims that her story came to her in the form of repressed memories that at first she thought might not be real, but she later became convinced they were. I think there are three possibilities. 1. She searched the internet to find information for her book. 2. She searched the internet, and what she found subconsciously influenced the memories she was having, so she thought what she was remembering was real and it really wasn't. 3. Her memories are real. 10. Come on, Georger. This isn't about you or me. It's about whether Marla Cooper's claims are valid. There is nothing wrong with the AB staff investigating that claim. At least SOMEONE is doing it. And you wouldn't believe what we found. When I came on board Dropzone with the Kenny Christiansen story, many of you questioned our findings. As well you should. It's important to question everything in the Cooper case...including Marla Cooper's unsupported claims. Fair is fair. How about some equal time from you? Or do you think she is right? Why not go on the record - and then give your reasons why. You asked what Tena Bar location I spoke of previously. The spot where the money was found, of course. If LD and Dewie had a car accident back in November, 1971 which I doubt, how does that have anything to do with what Marla said? She didn't see her uncle injured when he landed, and I'm not even sure she said her uncle was injured in the landing. But even if she did say that it doesn't change anything. She just assumes he was injured in the landing. He could have landed safely and and then while speeding away from the scene they could have had a car accident. That doesn't change anything else she said or mean that she is a liar. If she said she saw her uncle injured in the landing, but then it was discovered he was injured in a car accident, then she would be a liar. The Money Connection

  12. I only said the first two items have happened, and that she's working on the third now. (book) As far as the comic, all my research so far shows that it was sold almost exclusively in three places: Eastern Canada, France, and possibly Belgium. Few, if any copies, were actually sold in the US. And somehow, Uncle LD now has multiple issues on his wall...an obsession. Small point: Marla claimed in several interviews she never saw her uncle after the date of the hijacking. In another, she says she and her family saw him the following Christmas. Question: How would Marla know her uncle not only had multiple copies of the rare comic book, but that he was obsessed by them? Especially if she never saw him again after the age of eight? I have to stop making comments on this subject or I will ruin the article. I will say this much: I've already got enough material to poke more holes into her story than the famous block of Swiss cheese. She needs to keep her stories straight. One of her quotes caught on video is nothing but memorable. Personally, I believe she took some of her story from the original edition of Blast. The walkie talkies, the comic link perhaps. So many holes, though...trust me on this. I will be working all day Sunday on this article. Cartoons and pictures will be included. What I'm trying to do with this article isn't to necessarily disprove her story. The idea is to make her face the hard questions, the same questions she would face from Dropzone or a good reporter who actually researched her statements and claims. The article is like a springboard for anyone to work from, who wants the truth about what she says. In other words, the grace period is over. Hard evidence and solid testimony from other family members is required. One article quotes Marla as saying her uncle admits he hijacked a plane for money, and that he said this in front of family members. Another from her bypasses this completely and says they only suspected later, and not for sure. This does not make sense, especially with the concept of an uncle coming home on Thanksgiving beat to holy hell. Her story just doesn't wash, and changes from time to time. Blevins, if this is an example of your work, then I don't think it is very good. Marla fully addressed the discrepancy in her statements about when she last saw her uncle in the Daily OK interview, and you haven't said anything about it. Either you're not doing a good investigation or you're too biased to do the report. I suspect some of your other "facts" come from newspaper summaries rather than actual quotes from Marla, but I'll wait and see. I found that LD lived in Vancouver, WA in 70, and Dewie worked at Boeing back in August when I made my video. I got the information from the Columbian and Seattle Times who had writers researching and checking the case. They didn't get it from Marla. Marla confirmed both things at the symposium in November. Do you think she read the newspaper reports? Did she watch my video? Did she get the information from relatives? Did a third party such as Geoff Gray give her the info? Did she randomly make it up on her own? The Money Connection
  13. I was trying to answer Georger's question. If people have questions then old news is new news. Thanks. The Money Connection
  14. just added a second large facial - above. I get a kick out of those Elvis sideburns. No doubt about who his idol was? Except nobody has commented about the sideburns? Marla hasnt to my knowledge? I have a feeling those sideburns were a fundamental part of his character at that stage of life ... wonder if he performed anywhere? Look at those long fingers of his. This guy's ex-wife is still alive. They lived at Vancouver from ~68-70. Wonder what those guitar straps are about - did he make those? I remember Marla saying he made the guitar straps. He gave them as Xmas presents. Marla gave the FBI the one he's holding to look for fingerprints and DNA if I remember correctly. Maybe Blevins has that in the 200 articles he's downloaded. >>Marla Cooper told ABC News that she has provided the FBI with a guitar strap and a Christmas photo of a man pictured with the same strap who she says is her uncle, Lynn Doyle Cooper.
  15. Blevins, You may have found a lot of articles, but I bet a lot of them are redundant. Marla didn't say much herself back in August. The longest published interview was with the Daily OK. There really isn't much since then outside of Bruce Smith's articles and recaps of the symposium. BTW, I'm looking forward to see how well you answer the questions I posed. The Money Connection
  16. Okay, here is a question for Blevins or whoever. Most people seem to feel Marla is fabricating everything, and for some reason the FBI is playing along with her. Everything supposedly rests on Marla's word. What about the things I bring out in my video that came from newspapers and not from Marla? LD was married and living in Vancouver, WA in 1970. Marla never mentioned that in August. Dewie worked for Boeing in the 60's. Marla never mentioned that in August. The money turned not so far from where LD lived in Vancouver. Of course familiarity with the 727 would have been a big advantage. In August she did say that in 1971 both were living with her grandmother in Sisters, OR while they went through their respective divorces. Marla confirmed both of these facts at the symposium. So did she find the newspaper accounts, did she watch my video or did she get the information from relatives? Or did she just randomly make the stuff up? The Money Connection
  17. Arfuller, There was no storm at 10,000 feet in the Portland area that night. Actually, there was some light rain showers at Portland and plenty of humidity and clouds, but no storm. That's good news for my flare theory. Just wave the flares when below the cloud level. I'd buy whatever Marla was selling. Well, if it was legal. The Money Connection
  18. In the Daily OK interview I posted a few days ago she actually said five and a half hours, but I guess a half hour wouldn't make much difference. I just can't buy the Christiansen thing. Even if the FBI found an abundance of DNA and fingerprint evidence I don't think I could believe it. I know a little bit about airline employees. Nobody could hijack their own airline, and continue to work for them another 20 years. I don't care if he only worked one route his whole career. Employees train together, have meetings, socialize, etc. Christiansen doesn't match the description or look like him to me. Yeah I saw the History channel do the overlay. After all, DB said, "I don't have a grudge against your airline," but maybe he should have said "my airline?" I guess the NG reenactment is off a bit. I haven't seen anywhere when the rainstorm stopped and started. I still like my idea about the flares. At least he had them available if that's what the dynamite was. The Money Connection
  19. Jo, I'm probably much older than you think. I'll graduate from second grade next year. How old are you? I guess the placard came out right after the stairway was deployed. Was that before they hit the rain? In my short e-mail exchanges with Gray back in August he expressed little interest in the Marla info, but he had a book to promote. He was thinking it might have been a Canadian. Judging from his web page post, he hasn't changed his mind about her, like most of you. I'm trusting the FBI on this, but maybe they would just like to have the case closed. Marla's mother has corrabarated some of her story. News reports say that both her and the FBI have been talking to her relatives. Didn't she talk about that at the symposium? The cabin lost pressure at 8:10. If the weather was really rough, I would think there would be a lot of turbulence at 10,000 ft. Isn't the conjecture about when he jumped pretty much speculation? BTW, I have a lot invested in Marla being right. I have a You Tube video and they will pay me a huge amount if enough people click on the advertising. I've already made $0.02 since August. http://youtu.be/qagMRM5hF0I The Money Connection
  20. I guess a heavy rainstorm wouldn't have helped, if that's when he jumped. If that's the case and he didn't survive the jump, then I think somebody needs to come up with a plausible explanation why there was never any parachute, body or briefcase found if he didn't survive, but the sign was found where it was and the money showed up where it did. The idea of a boat dragging some of the money and it showing up neatly buried doesn't make sense to me. If he jumped later, then maybe there wasn't a rainstorm over the area. The Money Connection
  21. Actually, the flare part is nonsense also. The way Janet and Galen explain it would not result in any useful information to Cooper about the wind speed or direction. None of the people mentioned in the Janet article seem to have the slightest idea how "spotting" is done. And with a round canopy, it wouldn't make much difference to Cooper anyway since he is going to come down wherever he comes down. What do you think about the idea that a flare could help someone on the ground spot the hijacker after he's through the clouds? Do you feel the "dynamite" might well have been road flares? I think it was Ralph H. who suggested the bomb was road flares based on the color of the wrappers around the sticks. Also, I think someone has posted on this thread about dynamite that had the same color as the presumed road flares. So I think road flares or dynamite is still an open question. But the flight crew and NWA could not take any chances and had to assume it was dynamite. It is unlikely that Cooper could have known his geographical position at the time of the jump to within a 20 mile radius at best. And I doubt that a road flare, even only a mile away, is going to help much in two people joining up in that area and those weather conditions. I'm not familiar with all the types of road flares, but it seems like fireworks can be seen over a big distance if they're high enough. A good set of binoculars directed toward the sound of an airplane could pick it up I would think. Maybe not, but it seems if a hijacker had flares he might use them for something other than just to fake a bomb. When I'm in an airplane I can see street lights over a pretty good distance with the naked eye. I can see airplane lights over 40 miles away. Where I live there's a story about a civil war campfire spotted by binoculars from a hill many miles away. It led to a massacre and the naming of a creek with a politically incorrect name. 25. Actually, I guess it's not such a big deal since Galen Cook has been writing books about it. I'm sure it has been discussed here before, but it was new to me. The Money Connection
