  2. So, with the long list of names on the holla-back thread, does anybody want to attempt a 16-way or larger? I'll organize it. (Which obviously means I'm going to the boogie. Wasn't sure until last night.) Takers? (LizzieB said she's in.) This would happen on Saturday. Maybe a warm-up or practice load ~9am. CYa Peter (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  3. I don't know. I've always had better luck with USPS than with UPS. Brown is appropriate for them, because they suck shit. I've had late packages, couldn't track packages. When a vendor says "We use UPS" I consider taking my business elsewhere. Not that FedEx doesn't do dumbshit stuff, too, like ship stuff across the country a couple times to make sure it doesn't get delivered faster than the service that was paid for, but I seem to have fewer problems with FedEx than UPS. Oh, and their colours are cooler. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  4. Tape is fun too. You can put it on their backs, or on their feet... (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  5. Yeah, but she would have seen them before, possible even before boarding for that flight and should therefore have known better. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  6. Would that be at the Amerikan Boogie? (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  7. That's probably what's going on. They want to leave it to the last minute, hoping everyone involved has forgotten the details, while they've been making careful notes and preparing their case for almost two years. As far as what the actual statute of limitations is, there are exceptions, like discovery of some pertinent fact, like a major piece of evidence, or an injury or complication that wasn't discovered up front. If she was an active jumper, then she should have been both trained (about prop hazards) and waivered. Does SDC have prop warning signs posted? (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  8. Not if I see you first... (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.

  15. You, know I wonder if 4 cats is enough to levitate a jumper to altitude... Where's the bread.... ewww... that bread is moldy! (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  16. And in the overall scheme of things, where does that fit in? Shall I fix it now, when I have other things to accomplish and would work with resentment, or shall I wait to fix it until I can do it happily and with joy? Fix it when you like. My goal was merely to inform. Usually, my goal is to entertain, which is one of the better goals of a web site. Yours certainly achieves both of those goals, and hence is worthy of such maintenance, whether now or later. Anything worth doing is worth putting off until tomorrow!o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  17. I think it's 12 years, just like unit. Yeah, but are they date stamped? In other words, how does anybody know? (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  18. It's really hard to post(whore) 35487+ whe57678+-* n your cat is lying 876 or walking on the numer+ -* ic keypad! (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  19. Yo, Lisa. The pictures on your web site aren't working right... (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  20. It's an IR port. If I had to guess, and if they do their homework right, you'll be able to use the IR port built in to most laptops. My rigger can borrow mine. Hell, the owner could probably do it. Again, if they do it right, it will work in such a way that firmware updates aren't committed unless some kind of error detection passes, like maybe a checksum or signature code. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  21. ... to keep your imaginary friends out. (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  22. Ooooo.... neat idea! I want one of those fibre-optic lamps... I already have a parachuting teddy bear and a full-auto Nerf gun... (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  23. Ditto. I have a CYPRES in for 4-year right now, and I will not likely buy another. I have the same thought to keep an eye on the Vigil as it gets some field usage and if they don't have any major problems, I'll be replacing CYPRESes with Vigils. I think the most annoying things about CYPRES are the maintenance requirements. You have to replace the battery after 2 years, even if it reads 6400?!? I'll grant that 4-year checks may have been a good idea at the start when they weren't sure how it would hold up after 4 years, but I'd like to see data proving that they're still necessary. If there is an upgrade or mod required, that can be done with a service bulletin, just like rigs or reserves. I think the basic problem is that Germans don't like to admit they were wrong, even if it's a good thing that they were wrong. (Yes, I am qualified to judge - I spent 14 years there and speak the language fairly well.) And to expire them after 12 years? Come on. The "trade in program" is a joke. I just love (not) how the new FARs make maintenance requirements on AADs law. The manufacturers did a good job of guaranteeing income with that little nugget! And people bitch about USPA trying to make money via federal legislation - at least they're a non-profit org! (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
  24. OK, like, whatEVER! (>o|-< If you don't believe me, ask me.
