  1. Of course your right, after all America is horrible because some politicians are corrupt....no wait maybe America is good and we manage to look past the inevitable corrupt politicians. The church as an organization is not much different, don't condemn the whole because of some bad apples. But ultimately the question du jour is about God and not corrupt Baptist preachers. When more people realize that Churches are representatives of God and not God maybe everybody will be happier. Your corrupt preachers are human just like you and that is where you must understand they have failings just like everybody else. To quote a songwriter "They're hypocrites they're such a bore Well come on in there's room for one more." Josh
  2. mellow out about a defenseless animal that was abused? everybody who thinks that's not a big deal needs to reevaluate their morals. This is clearly wrong and should be punished. Fine I won't punch him in the face if that makes you happy, but I would love to see jail time for this. Its wrong and should not be tolerated. Ask anyone who knows me I'm not a violent person, but this makes me sick. Josh

You could say that , but with better photography. blues jerry Kudos for noticing that the cinematography was better. So often that is overlooked. I also thought that while seabiscuit was a good movie in a few years it will be forgotten. It had no lasting value in my mind. As for a comparison of the two I didn't see much similarity other than they both featured horses in a race. But that's about the only thing they had in common. I thought that the protaginist was very similar to tom cruise's character in the last samurai. Josh
  4. Tell him he's an asshole and punch him in the face for me. josh
  5. With an umlaut (the funny two dots over a vowel) you can replace it with an e following the vowel in question. His spelling was correct. Josh
  6. Actually I've never figured out why anybody likes this crap. It always tastes skunky to me. Josh
  7. It would be hard for them to win in a category where they were not nominated. On a side note it was nice to be thanked by Charlize for helping her out on "Monster." Ok she didn't thank me by name but she did thank the crew which I was a part of. Kind of surreal from that low budget film to all the awards she has won since. Josh
  8. this is a no brainer you will have more fun at z-hills than anywhere. Josh
  9. I used to believe that if you weren't extremely current you shouldn't bother. I clocked in around 900 skydives in 3 years in the sport. Then I moved and haven't been able to make so many skydives. In fact I keep current, barely. When I make it out I'm a feel like I never left. The only noticable difference is I feel tired after 3 jumps or so when I used to do 10 or more in a day before I felt tired. I don't believe my skills have waned although realistically they have. I guess it depends on how proficient you have become before you only jump enough to stay current. Josh
  10. I actually did win the game with this question against my wife. She kept picking the sports and games category because she knows I have no clue about sports. She was stomping mad when it was a skydiving question. Josh
  11. I enjoyed this movie in the theater, so I picked up the DVD. Yes the footage is fake looking but very funny. I'm not sure I would buy the DVD for just this footage though. If you enjoyed the movie you will enjoy this little bit. Josh
  12. My GSM AT&T phone works at Perris just fine. Having said that I'm probably changing back to a regular digital service soon as I'm unhappy with AT&T's gsm service in other areas. Josh
  13. Also they have a very Cars sound to them, and the song playing during the "famous" scene in Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a Cars tune, coincidence? Josh
  14. We'll lessee, I did my first jump actually my entire AFF at Deland. I did the entire thing in three days and was invited by Bob to dinner Sunday night at the restaurant. That event may be one of the moments that made me want to stick around. The next week Bob had a water training class at his house and we had a bbq afterwards. I was hooked, skydiving, having a blast afterwards and feeling like family. That quickly changed after I was off student status. I don't blame Bob or his staff they were just too busy. I rented a rig a couple of weeks after I started and was ready to transition to throw out. I did one jump on the rig with the ripcord and then asked to be changed over. They wanted me to jump the same gear so I waited about an hour for the packer to change the pc. I then had to wait about 2 hours for an instructor to show me how to use a throw out. And another 1 1/2 to get on a load. All in all I spent about seven hours and was only able to get on 2 loads. Not two more only two total! I was willing to jump at least 4 or 5 times but just ran out of daylight. Now I had rented the rig for the full day and spent more per jump on rentals than if I had rented it per jump. And I was frustrated. All I got from manifest when I returned my gear was "that's the way it goes sometimes." I returned once more a week or two later and had to wait more than an hour to get on a load. The next time I manifested I was told I would be the same amount of time and was given my load number. I checked the manifest computer about 10 minutes later and found out I had been put back a load, almost 2 hours. I inquired at manifest what happened and she told me a team had to get on and since I was solo it shouldn't matter. Maybe not to her, but she should have asked. Again I had rented the gear for the full day and was not able to get the jumps I wanted to get. I searched around and found Zhills. No getting bumped off a load for a team there. There was always someone to jump with and a great party atmosphere afterwards. Deland has a wonderful restaurant, top teams and wonderful airplanes. They have (had) very little for the low timer who wanted to fun jump. There are a lot of dz's out there who when checking a new jumper in ask what kind of jumping they do. They point out the organizers or people who do that kind of jumping and they get the new jumper on their way. Deland did not do this when I jumped there and I don't know if they do now or not. Now this may all seem negative but from a business standpoint deland has carved a great niche for themselves. They are a team dz. Their slogan is "Where the best come to get better" or something like that. They want your team business and if you are on a team there is no other dz that will give you what they do. If you like to fun jump and get on organized loads maybe down the road to Z-hills is the way to go. Josh

  22. Actually I like the Pale Ale. However my favourite in the world is Sam Adams Boston Lager. Haven't tried the summerfest from Sierra Nevada I'll have to give that a try. Josh
  23. Try downloading some Brian Regan. Not political but very funny. Small caveat, his humor is more American based: i.e. he talks about baseball and science projects as a kid so some stuff may miss you if your not from the U.S. Josh
