    Just thought I'd let everyone know: Today was my last day of work until August 24th and I'll still get paychecks throughout the summer. Ahhhhhhhhh.........

    There is a student landing area which is also used for people who have less than 50 jumps (I am pretty sure). I had just graduated AFF when I went to the first American Boogie.

    Hi Leah. Actually that was last Sunday. I think I will be there Saturday afternoon this weekend. Not sure though.

    I had a rooster with only one leg (we think a rat got it when it was just a few days old). I nursed it back to health and we named him Ampy. I think Ampy is a great name! About the rooster, he learned to crow, although somewhat strangely. He got an infection in his good leg and I had to give him meds for awhile to clear that up. We ended up getting him a nice girlfriend but seeing him try to make her happy was a little painful. Maybe we ended up giving him just a tease.

    0:0:2 and I got my friend to come out and make his first tandem today. He rocked and wants to come out and do another.

    Thanks for the info. My grandmother (her mom) passed away in mid-March and my mom has been taking Vicodin so she can move her arm and pack up the house. None of her siblings are helping her at all. I've flown home about 8 weekends to help out.

    My mom tore her rotator cuff and is planning on having surgery in mid-July. She has been dealing with the pain of it since about January. Tough lady. Have any of you had this injury? Any advice I can send her way? Thanks!

    My grandmother (who passed away in March, 3 weeks before her 91st birthday) had several wonderful sayings. Very much rated G, so many of you might not appreciate them, but she was great. "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice." She would also tell us when we got out of the car, "Slam it" then whisper "Dammit" and when answering some questions, "L no! What? I only said a letter." Finally, if you didn't want to get in trouble, when staying over at her house and asked in the morning, "How did you sleep last night?" You better answer, "I didn't wake up to find out!"

    I am a teacher and I am contracted to work 37.5 hours a week for about 27 week a year. But I usually work closer to 40-45 hours a week actually at school. Sometimes more at home.

    The first time I got one, I was 18 but hadn't moved out to college yet. My mom had a strict "No Piercings In The House" rule. I got mine done and she had no idea. Being the honest girl I am though, I figured I should tell her before she finds out on her own. I was moving in two weeks anyway. Here's how the conversation went: Me: "Mom, can I talk to you in your room for a minute?" Mom: "Okay." Me: "Okay, this is not against you or your rules and I just wanted to tell you so that I am being upfront and honest. I am moving in two weeks anyway, so it really doesn't matter." Mom: starts to cry Me: "I got my tongue pierced." Mom: "What? I thought you were going to tell me you were pregnant!" Me: "Oh! No! Not at all!" Mom: "Have you had sex? Have you been drunk? Have you done drugs?" Me: "Do you really want me to answer all of those questions in one sitting?" Then she locked herself in her room and didn't speak to me for a week.

    My friends Alysha, Amber, Alissa, and Annette were the A-Team but Sarah just didn't fit in there. So, Sarah Grace (my first and middle names) gave the initials SG, and A-Team plus Special Guest came up. I think Alysha made it up. Special Guest Sarah Grace. That's me.

    I had wanted to come back for the whole time I was away, but certain things kept me at bay for a bit. All is better now so back to the dz!

    Wow. As I updated my profile, I realized that I've been a registered user of dz.com for almost 4 years, yet this is the first post I've ever posted. So, to introduce myself, I am Sarah, SpecialGuest to some. After becoming uncurrent for about 4 years I am back and not planning on becoming uncurrent again. I've been around skydiving for about almost 7 1/2 years but I still don't have many jumps. Almost all were in the first two years when I was working at Action Air Parachutes. Hopefully this summer I will get lots more jumps in. Woo hoo!
