Motorola loves everyone who buys the RAZR, because it's a three year old phone in a slim case. Zero development money spent, but twice the price. The camera is bad, the UI is worse, there's not enough onboard memory, the expandable memory card is non-existant, or on the updated version of it, it's a ridiculous format. It's slim, but wide. The quad-band is nice, though. Much of the same applies to the Nokia 8800/8801, but that doesn't even have the quadband. cavete terrae.

http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_threaded;post=1979447;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC; Maybe these are being proposed for a reason... Glad it turned out OK. Rock Turns out it wasn't in fact as much a problem with body position... I got some help from aggiedave, turns out my 3rings weren't level the way I was wearing my rig. We corrected that, and my openings have been sweet since then. Turns out my left leg is larger than the right, and since I was comparing my strap excess lengths, that was actually ending up with me wearing the rig somewhat incorrectly. As for the downsizing proposals, I think they're a good idea, but I don't think my considering my canopy to be fast is any particular sign of downsizing too fast. I jump normally in the midwest, where you will VERY rarely see no-wind conditions, not to mention I'd only put 5 jumps on it before I came down here. However, the conditions have presented no problems, and I've stood up every landing without putting myself or anyone else in danger cavete terrae.

Yup, got back in the air and made 3 today. Since the pressure's off, I can just make however many I feel comfortable with. Today, I, are you guys ready for this? I did a stand! It was sweeeeeeet! No video, though, so I'll have to do it again tomorrow jumping with AggieDave! cavete terrae.

Thankfully it wasn't me... though he did drive me out to find my freebag after my chop! cavete terrae.

Grue! NO!!! That's not the report I was wanting to hear from your fusion jumps. What do you think happened? don't forget to get me some good video of your canopy man! good job on the cutaway and staying safe!! have a great time in Eloy! I'm going to blame a combination of a rushed pack job (mine), and shitty body position. I'm going to take my time for first jump tomorrow, and be uber careful and see how it goes. I'll definitely get some landing videos, man... this thing is FAST in no-wind conditions, wheeeeeeeeee cavete terrae.

Having a FANTASTIC time. This place is the closest thing I've found to heaven on earth. 5 jumps yesterday, 2 today, but since the cutaway, I won't have the cash to hit 100 total like I had hoped. Such is life, though, it just means the pressure's off and I can have more fun! cavete terrae.

She spun up on me and started heading for the horizon... dicked with it for a few seconds, checked the alti, saw 1,800 coming up.. SEE YA! Reserve came out cleanly, stood up the landing. Reserve is repacked, just gotta reattach the main, pack it, and get back out tomorrow cavete terrae.

I know this is sort of an odd question, but does anyone have an extra 6-to-4 pin firewire cable they could rent or lend to me for the boogie? I cannot for hte life of me find mine, and I wanna avoid running around trying to borrow one to get video dumps cavete terrae.

It's a good writeup! I tried to convert it to JPGs for attachment, but the text became crappy, so I decided that providing the hosting would be easier Hope to come out and visit you guys some day, once I get into BASE cavete terrae.

I find it disturbing that in lieu of simply having health insurance in the first place, you make it the rest of the country's job to pay for your injuries. If you can't afford the health insurance, you can't afford the sport. It's not just a matter of being able to pay for the jumps, there are ancillary costs associated with the sport that are every bit as important as the actual sport. In fact, by not having health insurance, those of us WITH health insurance will have higher costs. For every person who gets hurt and cannot pay, it drives up the cost for those who can and do pay, which is then passed on to insurance, who raise their rates to maintain their profit levels. I find it unfortunate you had the accident, but you alone made the choice to jump, and you alone made the choice to jump without insurance. cavete terrae.

Depends on the colours! cavete terrae.

Can you bring me a cute Dutch girl between, oh, 18 and 30 wearing pigtails and wooden shoes? THEN I'll be impressed! cavete terrae.

We do this on another forum I frequent, basically you sign up if you want to participate, a few people are put in charge of handing out Santas/Santees, etc, and it usually works out. There's like a 3 or 6 month ban if you don't get your stuff shipped on time though cavete terrae.
