  1. Probably not news, but the olfactory sense triggers incredible memories for me. Just a hint of a scent will transport me across miles or decades. However, the scent of a woman also engages phemorones, (i think they are called, if my spelling isn't too poor) much more of our animal nature, and what the perfume industry really wants to sell. On the other hand, the scent that i really love is the smell of sleep. With the right person, when you wake up in the morning and your sweetie is still in dreamland, and you just wrap yourself around them and snuggle (ha, i better stop now) I've been hanging with some yoginis lately that have been using a few different ayervedic recipes that sooth the nerves and calm the mind, and some are very appealing. But, the best i know of is a woman i know in Paris and she uses her own "scent". It drives men nuts when she walks into a room. It isn't an everyday thing, but woah, that woman has power. m2
  2. 31..... dang what does that mean? m ~ a temporary reconfiguration of stardust
  3. awesome work! it is great to see things morphing as they grow, and this whole DropZone forum is fantastic. i was thinking the same thing when i saw your post on the [-]. maybe the descriptions of the forums could be part of the pop up window (name) that appears when you move your pointer over the link rather than typed out underneath the link. yes it would take a few more brain cells to find your way to the right forum if you are new, but it would also allow a lot more forums to be visible on the screen at once. there might be a limit to # of letters in the pop up though.... m
  4. Lummy, /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You Rock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ I would shake the dust from my coat, and rise If I realized my own perfection. I would rush to the sky, empty and light; My head would be high as the ninth heaven. Rumi
  5. @@@@@@@@@@ serious case of c/ritis... but life is too short to let this pass by so put me down on the list of attendees, if you could add me to the mailing list i can coordinate my arrival/departure with rides already planned... has anyone thought about a hotel room/party central, instead of tents? (the few nights in perris were a few weeks recovering for my back) plus trading the freezing cold for warm showers....
  6. Reminds me of Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. What are to probabilities?? Where is Zonneywoop anyway...
  7. eraserhead..... i haven't seen it in 25 years (longer than vikings been breathing)and i still get sick when i think of it
  8. Sis, although i am saddened to hear of your injuries i am so happy to hear that you narrowly escaped catastrophe! It sounds like you are in need of a specialist for your back and neck, so find a good osteopath. Also, document all the weird feelings you have as your body comes out of shock. Statistically state farm is known for taking care of claims, you might find out how much coverage the idiot has... so that you can be taken care of during this healing process. And don't take the adjusters initial offer for the value of your car, these things are somewhat negotiable.... and when the tour resumes you better plan on coming to northern cal too!!! matt2
  9. i dont really care how big or small they are it is the heart that fills them that makes a difference
  10. ok i'd lov eto try them!!! ummmm my favorite are tamalores~ (an old sweetie and her sister invented them) dark chocolate chips, 1/2 white 1/2 whole wheat, walnuts and about 4 tablespoons of real maple syrup instead of some of the sugar, (plus the usual stuff.. sugar, butter and soda) tam preferred them a little undercooked, i prefer them cooked to golden and also with rasins... really chunky they are almost a meal by themselves.... but fresh out of the oven they are the best!!! matt2

    Weekend Numbers

1hour standing in tadasana on a cliff:6:1 saturday was the mean reds.... so i went for a hike and found myself on a cliff overlooking the fog sneaking through the golden gate. it was so spectacular with the rest of the bay so clear that i stood in mountain pose for an hour.... so today i took that stability out the door and broke 200 mph in a stable head down!!! yippii thanks B^2!!! matt2

    head down

umm its late on a friday and i have no interest in going out right now yeah i wasn't too interested in bj's till i met Nancy. she gave a whole new meaning to my world... oh my bad well its hard to resist where my attention is....wow and now the original post is deleted///what's up with that???... i don't think you need to fear head down at all, i've had maybe 10 minutes on my head in 300 some jumps. ~thank you B^2~ dont be a sheep... when you feel comfortable with it give it a go, we will probably not see you on your belly for a long time.... till then don't do anything you don't feel safe doing. There are enough risks throwing yourself at the ground that you don't need to make yourself feel unsafe with it.... matt2 ummm freebird flies a sabre 135.... hahaha, i bit that one hook line and sinker.....
  13. ahh it was july 1977, hot as it ever was in tecumpseh, MI and i went out to do a static line just to see what it was about... spent the day beating myself into the ground learning to PLF, and finally went up for a spectacular view.. i don't even think we even went to 5K, maybe like 2.5K.... but i'll never forget the opening shock and finding myself under a big white round fully flying... looking at the ground and thinking... damn that was like the hand of god reached out of the sky to shake me awake! matt
  14. ditto actually i really enjoy kissing, and will as often as i have the opportunity. Spending hours making out on the couch..... oh don't get me started however, your in a different situation. it could be he is feeling stressed, or perhaps other anxieties. you'd be better off talking and getting down to the brass tacks of where he is, than forcing the issue... true intimacy is born in communication. matt
  15. okok.it happened to me once. had spent the morning cutting trees in front of the house, and then went on a 10 mile /2000' vertical bike ride, and came back and sat down to have a beer, when i stood up the world went blank for a moment, and i went through a picture window and blood and glass was everywhere..... the sweetie i had gone riding with helped me by pulling the glass out of my back, i was so embarrassed i thought i would never see her again. the next day i saw the doc and he said i have low blood pressure, and to keep food in my system! he also mentioned i shouldn't tell anyone (oops) because a history of fainting they will take your drivers license away in california! out here in the land of fruit and nuts it kinda makes sense. come to think of it another time a friend was over and we had spent the whole day making love, it was hot and we were sweating a lot, and when she stood up and i caught her as she passed out. she was really frightened... but there was another time exerting a lot of energy without fuel... as advised please see a doc, and have some basic blood tests like anemia and diabetes... it could save your life. but be sure to reduce the stress 'cuz it will save your life! matt

    Invasion 2002

damn Deuce we gotta jump more up here too!!! and yes i did funnel the hybrid after signaling i was watching Lummy waiting for him to kick down and neglected to let go when he didn't!!! sheeeit that was fast as fuck At least i got my first kiss pass as a result thanks lisa!!!
  17. Rob, i'm damn sad to hear that.... children have the ability to know integrity or where it is missing. it is a skill that all humans have at one time or another. a 5year old will be pretty closed down if the world looks unsafe to them. the best you can be is a pillar of love and compassion for him. keep your words and actions and intentions alligned and he will trust that life can be safe and free. the time he spends with the devil will not faze him then, because he will know who he is and where he stands. so don't get mad, even as frustrating as it really is, as he might blame himself. instead, explain your concerns and he will know how much you care.... matt2

  24. Yeah my first jump was there in 1977, i think my first year at U of M. I had Bill Coen as my jump master. Shee-it i would be so happy to hear what he is doing now. Otherwise, i did land a few times in the corn field, and it was a hoot getting my way out, but that was in the days of the rounds..... it was a great place back then, and those irish hills must still be as beautiful.... matt
