i think it's as touchy as a subject as to say a "planned parenthood" receiving tax dollars to support abortion..... only not killing babies....???? As far as my beliefs, i think our federal government has no place in either debate and wish they left it up to the states.... the feds have enough to worry about and can't handle the "control" we've so ungratefully given them.....

Davelepka pretty much hit it IMO. I'm new to the skydiving world, I just did my first tandem at Skydive AZ last month. A few years ago i was considering my making my first jump at SDC (I lived in northern Illinois at that time). I remember having conversations about jumping at that time and whenever the topic came up there was always someone willing to poke their nose into the conversation and tell us to stay away from SDC because of their lousy safety record. Now I'm not sure when things changed at SDC but from what I'm hearing now, being more educated (and obsessed) with skydiving, SDC seems like an absolute great place to jump. There will always be those that only hear and accept the negative and I believe 99% of it comes to education. I see it constantly with other topics as well, gun control being the most prevalent.

Thanks for the heads up, I will definitely stop by and introduce myself around the DZ next time I'm down. Can't wait to get some experience, anxious to learn!!!

She does I believe, but not as bad as I do! We both had a great time and were very comfortable, my hats off to our instructors at Skydive Arizona for that!!!

Hey all!!! I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm obviously new to dropzone! I had my first tandem jump last monday (4/11) and I'm completely addicted!! My wonderful girlfriend surprised me that morning with the news we were going skydiving for lunch (surprise for my birthday) and I'm sure she's regretting ever getting me interested!!! Can't wait to start learning all about this wonderful sport! Looking forward to talking to all of you! Randy
