The FFX has been replaced with the FF2. Pretty much the same helmet except better snag proofing.

Now imagine that with all the camera gear that the video guys jump!!

To answer all of the questions quickly... Yes I am sure I am not bumping it. Yes I have the sight on my dominate eye. And no I havent trried without the sight. Going without is not my problem. I used the same sight on my previous helmet with no problem for ~200 jumps. This is why I dont understand what is going on. Any insight on this problem is welcome.

I have done exactly as your document recomends. But no matter if I set up at a short or long distance it just seems to be incorrect in the air. I know the sight should account for shifting of the helmet, so I can not figure this one out. i have had several other video guys try to help me sight this in properly, but it makes no difference. Starting to get frustrated as I cant figure this one out.

I just recently swapped from my my "home made" camera helmet to the 2k composites FF2. I am using a cross ring sight and on the ground the video, still and sight all match perfectly. However when I get in the air, I am still looking through the center of the sight, but the images are always offset to the top right. I never had this problem untill I switched helmets. I have also heard some rumors that others have been having the same issue. Does any one know of this or have any advice?

Which brings up another point I would wonder about. Does the DZ have the right to tell a staff member who is not working but is at the DZ for they day that they cannot be paid privately to shoot a video? OR does the DZ have the right to tell someone who is not employed by the DZ that they cannot be paid privately to shoot a video for someone? However, as I said, They can tell me they will not use me anymore to shoot tandems and they can also deny me access to thier editing stations. As far as an upjumper who does even work for the DZ... The DZ has no say so here. Each jumper is paying for a slot on the plane. But again, the DZ owner does not have to let someone on his/her plane. This really boils down to ethics. My DZ only regulates tandem and AFF videos. If I want to shoot an upjumper they realize that everyone enjoys having a video and some pics of themselves. They also realize that these jumpers will make lots of jumps. My opinion is....keep the DZ out of it if it is between experienced skydivers. If it is a tandem or AFF let the DZ have its rule here.

Well I guess each DZ has the right to "ask" thier employees to charge whatever the DZ wants. But, camera flyers are generally sub-contractors. So if they want to fly a video slot at a discounted price then that is their business. Of course the DZ does not have to use them either. However I have never seen this as a problem, especially when friends are doing videos for friends.

We forgot to put the drain plug back in your jeep and the oly reason you didn't destroy the motor is because you were smart enough to check prior to driving away? Oh well. Go under to find this blue crap all over the drain plug. The blue crap is a sealant that you can buy to try and fix problems like this. They stripped the drain plug threads putting it back on with air tools. I had to buy a new oil pan. Not cheap. Also, when I confronted them they said they didnt do it. I filed a formal complaint with the company and thier lawyers said there was no way to prove that they did it. Even though this truck never had an oil leak before or blue crap on the drain plug. So they basically told me to F*** off. Great company!! So yeah I boycot them to.

If you can do the programs and go to the saturday classes (which I did not know about) Then your chances of success are high. I hope you do well. By the way help out JeffD on the skydive club. I got one started at my college and it was the most pain in the ass thing I ever did here. The school lawyers tried to block me every step of the way. The more people you have interested, the better. It can really pay off. Other colleges get thousands of dollars every year to operate the club. I wish it would have paned out here.

Algebra kept me from finishing school 10 years ago....Im doing it now. But I have tll October till I have to take the classes...So I plan on getting ready. *** Does that mean you are already accepted to a school? If not do as I said before and start at the 2 year school. If you are, see if there are remedial classes that you can start in. I know you mean well in the whole Im going to prepare for this....But no one really ever does. If you try and start right into college algebra (unless you are an extremely quick study) you will get left behind. They will assume you have the neccessary tools to be doing certain things already. Trust me, I deal everyday with people who have been out of school for years and are coming back. Take the remedial classes.

Not to be a smart ass....But get another degree. That field is flooded, as you now know. Go into mathematics. That is where the real fun is at.

There was one that went to Calculus...But it said it was high school level. What is the difference between High school Algebra, and College? Quote Honstly that will be good enough. The difference between high school and college is not that great and the differences you will learn in college anyway. My advice is to take the entrance exam to a local 2 year school, take the remedial math classes and go from there. The majority of people who have taken time off from school start in the remidial classes. Including myself. Math is a "use it ot lose it" subject. However you can re-learn it and be successful. God knows if I can .... You can.

All the ones I find are from Mid School to High School...Not that they would not help, but if there are some that go to college level..even better. Quote There are several. I have one at home (sorry cant remember the name) that goes through calculus. Just have to look. Try going to tle local University and see what they have in the book store.
