Camping People - Waterproofing Gore-tex/Cordura and stitches
DJL replied to DJL's topic in The Bonfire
After a day ice fishing in the slush my boots appear to have slight leaks. It looks mostly like wicking through stitches but it also goes through the fabric a little also. I'm looking at this products, has anyone tried them before? I'm looking at something else for the stitches that's specific to that purpose. "By running the network setup wizard you probably have several conflicting networks now. Check control panel / network connections and see how many connections there are. You should have 1394 connection and local area connection, nothing more. If it keeps trying to default to the dialup vpn connection it will be listed here. Simply delete it or disable it. " That did it. I got rid of all of the connections. Then checked what it said on the status of my card and it showed it as unable to start. I restarted the computer and the Local Area Connection had re-established itself. Voila - the internets. Now I just need to get rid of all the porn on this thing and I can let my girlfriend have it. Thanks guys I'll cover your jump ticket sometime. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I guess that's always possible. This comp was set up to with all the License Agreements through my company. Never heard of that being an issue.... "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

"You can try ping 127.0.0.1 to ping your nic card and see if it returns. If not then the problem is with your nic card. " I got replies so that's OK. "Try a different cable, maybe using a crossover cable instead of a lan cable." I just tried the same cable on a different comp and it's OK. You should have 1394 connection and local area connection I have neither of those. (plot thickens) "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

All I'm getting is "windows 2000 IP Configuration" It's trying to connect through my old work VPN connection program or a dial-up connection even though I've run through an LAN setup. I pinged my router "ping 168.192.0.0" and it gave me "destination host unreachable". I've set up two comps and two laptops in this house. What kind of DFU error is this... For some reason I'm running off of the F: instead of C:. I think it's something I did when I added another drive back in the day but hey, it worked then. Edit: Oh man, it was just up. Then gone. "Unknown host." I don't think I'm getting through the router and modem. Trying to remember how to get to the setup page for the IP. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

What's the 168. etc address for connecting. Trying that one. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

And by old I mean 2 years. This was my top of the line desktop work station and I thought that I SHOULD be able to just hook it up and go.. Running on Windows 2000 Professional and Internet Explorer . I've checked the cable and modem and they work on the rest of my comps. I've got through several setup wizards to get the connection going and can't get any websites to come up. If the version of Explorer is the issue then I can't figure out how to update that. Any suggestions? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

We're a pretty simple bunch. Keep gas prices low, keep cheap stuff cheap at Walmart, keep mindless garbage on the TV, don't hold us accountable for anything and don't ask us any tough questions and we'll let you do anything. You forgot JFK. Overall, we are pretty simple. We're more about sound bites than in-depth research; we ignore anything that can't be summarized in a paragraph or 15 seconds. Funny that I'm wearing a Monkey Claw shirt from back in the day. Those dudes really represented what was fun about skydiving. Edit to add picture. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I'll admit, it was a quick move. But I'd expect nothing less from someone who's spent his career dodging the consequences of his actions I think more about the American populace who blindly supported his actions. I spent a good bit of the weekend reading up on the issues related to such things at the Watergate Scandal, the Kent State Shootings, the Race Riots... I can't believe that we're still so blind. What do you use this stuff for anyway. Someone brought me a bottle from Italy a few years ago and I have no idea what to do with it. Martinis? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

"I nearly inhaled 3/4lb of meat" So you finally decided to come out? Edit: Anyway. Dickwad or not, he's the Executive of my country. I find it to be lame that so many people supported his moves via their own voice and throught their elected officials and now they're blaming everything on him. Back to people from the UK. Remember that huge tiff you all had when the Aussie PM smacked either Thatcher or The Queen on the tush? Say what you will about their familiarity with each other - you don't go smacking the Head of State or National Figurehead on the bum. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

It's not funny because it's Bush, it's funny because he threw a shoe. There's a reason the shoe was RandomTask's weapon in Austin Powers. Seriously, who throws his shoe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D5oKEVqQJg "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
