  4. forgot to do my helmet strap and spent the whole wing suit jump with my helmet flapping behind mi in the wind connected to my goggle strap BASE 1519
  5. Ya but you fly a squirrel you should be unstowing your right yonkle while unzipping your left leg then go into a left hand turn back to the dz while you unstow your left yonkle and unzip your right leg. Then you can stow your slider unless it's before Labor Day then you have to stow your slider first! BASE 1519
  6. No just haven't seen the point. If you can pay for one instead of three I save money though. Just thinking if I want to travel this winter I probably won't get as much crap when I show up to a dz with my wing suit with a c license rather then on student status. BASE 1519
  7. You just get in the plane with a bunch of glow sticks like everybody else. BASE 1519
  8. Then you should have opened higher. Let's say you thought you didn't clear traffic after unzipping arms, releasing your toggles, and now you are in full flight. Then, while flying much faster (without much control) you release the toggles, clear the legs and find your inputs (from moving around) cause you to turn towards someone else. You're likely not looking forward, so you aren't aware that you're heading towards someone else at a high rate of speed. They're unaware you're flying fast because they too, are still unzipping. What may happen next? Hopefully you're aware enough to recognize at a low altitude that your legwings don't need to be stowed and that part of the process can be ignored for this jump (Like this this guy] ). Hopefully you'll open higher next time. At my dz we have land before the plane can unless you pull below 3000 or open right above holding area an spiral down you get yelled at. Pulling at 3500 is a high pull. BASE 1519
  9. I believe it can be done for B, C and D licenses. However, the situation seems to be different for the A license application. One can get away with not sending the completed proficiency card. Only because once it is stamped and signed off by the AFFI, it can serve as a temporary USPA A license. However this temporary A license will expire 60 days from the date signed (see the enclosed part of the application/proficency card). So, it seems that procrastinating the A License application process is not accomplishing much. That's why I never dated mine BASE 1519
  10. Figure I would do a bunch of wing suits out of a plane before off a cliff but I only made it to about 30 BASE 1519
  11. got it but I know its pretty relaxed where I jump and it does not matter to much and I know a few people who jump all over without a license. I guess its who you know and who you are with probably. Im sure it would make it easier. If I have c license numbers and requirements can I go straight to that without the other licenses if I wanted? BASE 1519
  12. I met Roberta in Lauterbrunnen not at a dz. Dont know if you consider her a sky god but she is hot I think. BASE 1519
  13. I know most people fill out their cards do with minimum number of jumps to get the next license as soon as possible but how many of you just dont bother and never get them? BASE 1519

  19. Sounds like a lot of people should not be in that line at bridge day or skydiving for that matter. I get the whole gear check for skydivers and people at bridge day but by the time you are making a BASE jump there is just no excuse not that you should not get checked but something like this should not happen. Myself I do not get a gear check weather I'm BASE jumping or getting on a plane I know my gear and rigging and put my life on it if I make a mistake I could die and take that responsibility in myself no one else. I don't like people messing with my gear it's right I know that others might slightly change that. Most will not agree with me on my philosophy for obvious reasons. I have not been to that many drop zones but my home drop zones I get on the plane every time without a gear check and never has someone ask me if I want a gear check or if I've had one. BASE 1519
  20. I've never had a hard opening even when I free packed my base canopy with a large mesh slider it was just brisk to say the least but not sure what people consider hard. BASE 1519
