It's a little seat thing attached by bungee cords on both sides they stretch the cords out and then catapult you into the sky, then you just bounce and flip until they lower you back down. Pretty cool. I was there one time when business was slow, so they used myself and a friend on it to try and draw in business. I think we went like five times in a row without getting off, it kind of got old. But, it was free! Danielle

I've done it three times a long time ago. I loved it every time. I also like the reverse bungee and the swing thing. But, I'm really into all those amusement rides, roller coasters and such! I probably wouldn't do it right now, unles I got a great deal, like free, because all my money goes torwards that next jump! Danielle

Hey! Emerald Coast is my home dz. In my totally unbiased opinion , the best! But really, I think it's a pretty nice little dz with great people! We have a Cessna Caravan sat has carpeted bench seats and seats up to 19, I think. PM me when you get down here! Hope you come out! Danielle -

Wow, I thought this post had died out already! Thanks for all your input. In all fairness, looking pack on the "pushing" incident, I think the other person just couldn't understand why I wouldn't want a beer. They weren't really trying to push something on me, I think it was more like they wanted me to feel like part of the group. I really don't ever see myself going back on my decision but I do appreciate all the support that you guys have given. It has really helped me to see that for the most part, most skydivers shouldn't care we if I drink or not. Thanks again and once again I apologize for ranting to you guys! Danielle

I don't like hospitals, (people go in and don't come out) although I wouldn't call that a phobia. I will admit to having a slight phobia of germs. Mainly public restrooms. Oooh Yuck!

Hey guys, After getting slightly pushed (at my dz) to drink I needed a place to vent. I am 23 and have never really drank at all. Not because I can't, but because I choose not to. So far I have not found an alcoholic beverage that I like, granted I'm not looking very hard! But I see no reason to start what could possibly end up being a very damaging habit. As far as I can see the cons of drinking strongly out way the pros and because of that I feel that it should be alright for me to drink a cold pepsi instead! I'm very interested in you guys response. I'm not coming down on anyone that drinks, I just chose a different route. I don't feel that I am better or worse than anyone that drinks and I only ask for that same respect in return! Sorry that you guys had to listen to me rant! I'll be quite now.

Yeah...Momentum is a great CD. My brother saw him several times this summer at different events around here. And my buddy who was in another Christian rock band actually got to play with him and his band a couple years ago in IL. Must have been a great time!

Mostly I think about the flow of the dive and then just relax and let my mind wander, from what I did the day before to what I'll be doing in two months! I really like to talk and joke with those around me, it helps make the ride not so long! I have to agree with snowbird on the bathroom issue. Why is it that I can go right before getting on the plane and by half way up I need to go again? I just distract myself and enjoy everything about the jump! I really agree with wingnut on this one! Good points! I really don't have a problem with them calling their sports extreme. After all there aren't many of us that could pull off any of the tricks that they do!

Hey! I just took the little boy that I keep to Chuck E. Cheeses. In between the animated shows they have these videos playing and imagine my surprise when I saw a free flyer up there! The video was full of all styles of skydiving. I thought it was pretty cool. I don't think it was just a local thing. As anybody else seen this? The kids weren't to impressed with it though.

My home dz is a good three hour drive. There are two dz's about an hour and fourty five min. They just aren't home!

I just wanted to say (from someone relatively new to the sport).... Thanks for being nice to the student! While I haven't made this same mistake I have had someone with more skydives come over and really give me a hard time about something! Being a person that really doesn't like confrontation, I have a hard time with this! Thanks again! The only way for us to learn is for those of you that are more experienced to take the time to teach us!

I don't have any help to offer, I just wanted to make a comment.....Being a "smaller build female" the student gear at my dropzone was always a bit big. My instructor had me tighten the chest strap pretty tight in order to help the fit of the rig. It always worked ok for me!

OK guys so this has probably been used but: "If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you?" I do! BASE I think it would be cute! By the way I'm not a base jumper! Just an idea!
