Yeah, right. My older brother used to tell me the same BS when he was just going to drink beer and didn't want me along. He'd just come back and claim that he couldn't find any. When I was a kid and my aunt & uncle came to visit from Boston... My aunt would mysteriously disappear for an hour or more and claim, " I had to take the dog out for a walk." My uncle is very particular about his newspapers and sometimes both of them would go on 4 hour plus adventures to "find a good newspaper." I didn't figure out what was really going on until I was 24. A penchant for accuracy as always... Well, he's only exaggerating a bit, depending on how it's measured. 69.4% of voting-eligible Americans didn't vote for Bush in 2004. I suppose if we included all of the ineligbles ... it would be up to three-fourths of Americans quite readily. (stats from here and here.) Bored tonight... Ran the numbers and 70.85% of Americans who were of voting age Did Not Vote For George W. in 2004 72.21% of Americans who were of voting age didn't vote for Kerry either... Those stats are meaningless though. If you don't vote, your stance doesn't count...literally. In 2004, those that did vote, 51% did vote for the President. 48% did not. It's misleading to non-Americans who believe the 51% figure to mean at least half of Americans support the president. In reality, only 3 out of 10 people liked him enough to cast a vote for G.W. Unfortunately, that was enough because 4 out 10 people did not cast a vote at all. "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

Personally, I liked Artistcalledian. My favorite was when he used the pic of Hitler as his Avatar and started the thread, "I forgive Hitler" in Speakers Corner. Walt Artistcalledian was kinda skeery, too. Alex Crowley- funny but certainly not a role model for dz dot com. what ever happened to peppermint>? "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

I am somewhat unclear on the language. What are the attached instructions? Are the attached instructions?: If you have black heat shrink... Remove black heat shrink wrap; Inspect; replace if frayed cables are discovered? thats how I'm reading it. "Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken -

Except when you rush to get onto that last load at sunset, and by the time you get to altitude, the sun is setting, and it's getting dark down below. And now you're vision and depth perception are going to be impaired by those very same sunglasses... C'mon JR..... Think about it. Ever done a night jump? Seriously. It's the same thing... on a sunset load. If you wanna be cool. shades are the way. Once you get thru that phase you will understand that skydiving w/ friends is about communication w/ skydivers in freefall. (your friends) Shades are your worst enemy. If you're a tandem instructor... they are your best friend
