BillyVance's "You Can't Make This Up" News Stories Thread

Funny! My first though is that is how someone in West Virginia would drive, not Virginia; then I realized it was the other Norfolk. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9 -
Yes, but her avatar pic is different than the last time she posted. She hasn't abandoned us entirely, evidently. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

Very glad to hear this good news! Sad about the SEAL, but rest assured, his sacrifice wasn't in vain. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

Yeah, but some people jump at very small dropzones where there is no place to camp.Has there ever been a DZ in the history of DZs that ever gave grief to someone who pitched a pup tent and slept due to intoxication? They may have woken them up early the next morning and told them to pack it up. That may qualify as grief however. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

I hope this is true (hopefully the word recover is a translation issue), and this is also (in my ignorance) what I said would be the most likely way that any good outcome may happen given the constraints. I pray this is what is happening. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

That joke was a gem! lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

They can't extricate them all in one whack, can they? So much speculation. So few facts. Prayers and thoughts for their safe rescue, as well as the rescue personnel. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

I can't even count the number of flats I've had and changed over the years (in the dozens). Now I have Run Flats, and my tires aren't to be rotated. It hasn't lessened the number of flats I get, but it does lessen the side of the roadway danger and all-around mess and rigamarole. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

Wouldn't the simplest way to do this be to send a team of divers in and extricate one child at a time? It may take days or weeks to do this, but one expert and one child? or two divers and one child? I know nothing about diving, however. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

No matter who you are you can find some fine music! This is not meant as a political post, but as an example of our dollars spent well.

My dad was color blind, and I don't ever remember him mentioning CA testing him for it. I don't ever remember being tested myself in the 70s and 80s (just as an aside, I have "perfect pitch" for color; ironic dontcha think?). My son is blind in one eye, and MD only asks for a dr. sign off, and you need two side-view mirrors (as if cars come any other way in the last 40 years. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

Cool beans? Assuming that "playing up" is the same as acting up? Glad you fixed it. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

Shame indeed. The second celebrity hanging in a short time. Is now the right time to point out that suicide is contagious? Unfortunately, it's a real thing. Not just in celebrity circles; it bleeds out into the "real world," too. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

I have to imagine they're using the miles and miles of test track we have all over the country. They don't even need to put a person in them, just add extra fuel capacity and put about 100 of them out there only taking breaks to refuel. That's a good way to test for endurance but I don't think that's the problem. You obviously have not watched an adequate quantity of Myth Busters. I'm picturing an elaborate course of crosswalks, trash bags blowing around, obstacles rising and falling, feral pigs and even a quantity of live drivers in crash-up derby cars. Feral pigs sounds more like Top Gear. And if you know about what I referred, then you probably are dreading the day that a self-driving car actually happens. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

I'm surprised she made it this long; from what I understood, she was bat shit crazy. RIP. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

My suspicion is that middle school is one less syllable than junior high school, and more descriptive. Ah. So dumbing it down. Gotcha! lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

At least you're honest about expecting a correct diagnosis from a bunch of internet wannabes. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

r I didn't even know they changed it. I always thought it was a geographical difference, between when I (OC, CA) went to Jr. High, and when my kids went to middle school (So. MD), but NO. My Jr. High in O.C. is now a middle school. Maybe Jr. is derogatory / diminutive, and we can't have that. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

Remember when it was called Jr. High not middle school? lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

Personally I think you'd have to be possessed to do this, so maybe it's apt. I see what you did, there! lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9
